I got this week's Observer in the mail today. This was the 2008 awards issue. LOTF's own Necro Butcher won the Bruiser Brody Memorial Award for Best Brawler. Dave Meltzer mentioned how it was a big deal for Butcher, with less national exposure than WWE or TNA wrestlers, to win this award. Past winners include Brody (The award was renamed after his death.), Stan Hansen, Terry Gordy, Mick Foley, Steve Austin, Terry Funk, and Brock Lesnar. Congrats to Necro Butcher!

I've been wondering like, forever when he was going to win that. Was shocked reading that issue to see he won.
