Twelve male fighters and twelve female fighters have been picked from a list of 460 men and 160 women to comprise the first rosters of BMW
They will fight in a G1 style round-robin tournament to determine the first BMW Universal Champion and BMW Women's Universal Champion
First, let's meet Women's Block A
Penny Hofstadter - 5-6, 126 pounds - She moves from the service industry to the fight game. This self proclaimed Nebraska Farm Girl hopes her down home toughness will get her far
Wendi Richter - 5-8, 140 pounds - The veteran "Cowgirl" has been a champion nearly everywhere she has gone and is a former WWF Women's Champion

Killer Kross - 6-4, 265 pounds - The Las Vegas pit fighter finds this setting right up his alley. One of the most feared fighters in the world.

Burly Bill Taylor - 6-4, 240 pounds - The bar brawler with skills. Is that enough in such a deep block?

Donovan Dijak - 6-8, 270 pounds - A hybrid mix of speed, strength, and technical ability in a powerful package

Ox Baker - 6-3, 313 pounds - Many feel he is the wild card, as he is only a Heart Punch away from a victory at any time
Super Crazy - 5-9, 199 pounds - The fastest competitor in the field, it will serve him well in a block full of giants
TOURNAMENT RULES
Matches will be contested under 1 fall, 21 minute time limit
Each fighter receives points depending on the end result of the match as follows
Pin/Submit in 7 minutes or under - 10 points
Pin/Submit in 7:01 to 14 minutes - 9 points
Pin/Submit in 14:01 to 20 minutes - 8 points
Win By Blood Stoppage - 7 points
Win By Count Out - 6 points
Win By DQ - 5 points
Time Limit Draw - 3 points each
Knockout - 1 point bonus
DQ Loss - Minus 3 points
Double DQ - Minus 3 points each
Loser of the match by Pin, Submission, Blood Stoppage, or Count Out gets 1 point per near fall scored, up to one less point than winner scored
Each block will fight round robin style for five weeks
The two winners will face off for the respective titles
