TNT Title

Just wanted to do something fun on this subject and list the 8 guys who I think will be in the 8-man tournament before they announce half of them tonight. There is no special place I went to find this, it's just my own mind picking my 8.

2. Darby Allin
3. MJF
4. Jungle Boy
5. Orange Cassidy
6. Scorpio Sky
7. Shawn Spears
8. Kip Sabian

It's also in no special order. Just waiting to see how many of tonight's 4 I get right.

I think part really depends on who is able to come to the tapings. I would agree with everyone on your list except Scorpio Sky and Jungle Boy. I would slot in Colt Cabana and Jimmy Havoc. I could also see MJF not taking part since it would be below him and he has eyes set on Moxley and the world title.

Weird how Todd’s think alike ... i was debating same thing about mjf, jungle boy I feel like they wanna push.

Seeing Cody can't go after World title might he be in this. It gives prestige to both the title right out of the box but to whomever eventually beats him for the title.

I was going to say Cody since he will definitely be there and can't challenge for the main belt, but second guessed myself. Oh well.

I could see Lance Archer costing Cody the match, setting up Spears and Allin in the 2nd round.

One other great thing about Cody vs Spears is their corner men are Arn and Tully. Was wondering when that would happen. Unless of course they don't appear because of the Corona precautions.

Well first 2 and last 2 correct, middle 4 from my list missed all them. Still 4-4 not bad.

Didn't chime in on this after last week's Dynamite, but from the looks of it the TNT Title tournament is pretty well telegraphed through the finals. Here is what I see happening.

Cody over Spears
Darby over Sammy
Dustin over Kip
Archer over Colt

Cody over Darby
Archer over Dustin

All leads to the Cody vs. Archer match we knew was probably coming at Double or Nothing, but we assumed early would not be for a title. along the way we get the long awauited rematch between Cody and Darby, which flashed some tension last week in the tag match. We also get Lance Archer destroying Cody's brother right before facing Cody himself. We could also see Kip and Colt getting involved in each other's matches, as that is a feud we will be getting soon too.

See this is really tough I feel what the other Todd says is what I think everyone is thinking. I don't see Cody getting involved in Archer's match and vice versa to get both eliminated. I in no way thought we would see Cody or Archer being in this tournament as I was hoping it was more of a midcard title. I think everything point to exactly what you said their tournament master, would be surprised if they swerved away from that. I guess being the first champion means something but I feel Cody is closer to world title than a midcard title. Why no MJF? Did he have to finish out his MLW contract?

Well Cody can't win the World title, and being the TNT champion is almost as big in his mind. For MJF kayfabe, this title is not the one he wants. In realty, probably couldn't make the trip down to Georgia for the tapings.
