Cody facing a lot of the indie darlings is fitting when you think of where AEW rose from.

I am having trouble posting the video here but if you go to my Facebook page I shared it there. On the video, Cody is talking about wanting to wrestle Alexander Hammerstone and Sefa Fatu. Sefa Fatu, if you don't know, is the son of Rikishi, the younger brother of the Usos, and the younger cousin of Jacob Fatu. Sefa Fatu lives here in Las Vegas where he wrestles for FSW and he will definitely be signed by a major fed in the near future. It would be great to see Sefa Fatu get a chance in AEW! It’s great to see some of these Indy guys getting a chance to shine on live TV, even if they’re just lining up to lose to Cody. But what would make it even cooler is if Cody did the old territory thing and traveled to these various Indy feds to defend his belt. Imagine him fighting Warhorse or Hammerston in their territory, going to a time limit draw or maybe Cody loses a non title match setting up a big TV match in AEW. Draw it out a little and give fans a taste of that old style Flair booking. |

Its great that AEW is giving so many indie guys a chance at work on Dark and these TNT title matches. |
