MIDWEST TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT

OPENING ROUND RESULTS:

MISSING LINK & OX BAKER w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink vs. JIVE SOUL BRO'S

"You got to hand it to Koko and PN because they hung tough in this match as it was wild and out of control from the get go as Humperdink unleashed the crazy! Link got right to Ware thanks to a diving head butt right off the ropes, knocking him straight out of the ring! News was able to control the onslaught that was Baker at first and even delivering a side walk slam for a NEAR fall!

Link would make the save and then the double team in the corner would rain down on News, Koko would recover and climb to the top rope and deliver a picture perfect flying drop kick to the back of the head of Link!!! He would continue his assault as he would come off the ropes a hit a flying knee to the back of Baker which would set up the recovering News to hit his BROKEN RECORD Finisher for another NEAR fall.

Humperdink would get up on the apron after the near fall and Ware would dropkick him square in the face knocking him to the concrete! This enraged Baker who just took Ware out with a vicious clothesline and quickly and violently tossing him outside the ring. News would try to come up from behind on Baker who saw him coming and delivered a forearm straight to the jaw leading to a head butt off the top rope by Link. News was out on his feet and eventually fell to the mat where Baker covered him for the victory"

MIDWEST CHAMPION: THE CRUSHER & RAY THE CRIPPLER STEVENS vs. RED BASTIEN & BILLY "RED" LYONS

"The two time Midwest Champion would take control early on in this match as he could see his tag team partner the crippler still was not at 100% after the battle at BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE against Frank Gotch.

Forearm after Forearm, stiff rights and lefts to both Bastien and Lyons...CRUSHER BOLO Finisher to Lyons who rolled out of the ring in a heap before the champ could fully secure the victory! Stevens would connect with his jumping double knee smash on Lyons and toss him back into the ring and off the ropes to have Crusher finish him off.

As Lyons came off the ropes Bastien made the tag...Lyons ducked a clothesline and flew out of the ring and crushed onto Stevens to the concrete floor! Crusher looked down at the carnage out side the ring and from behind Red Bastien would roll up the MIDWEST Champion for the three count to the amazement of the crowd!!!!

After the match as the reds were celebrating together in the crowd, Crusher was furious as he had to be restrained by the Crippler and officials to the back."

THE ROAD WARRIORS vs. KING KONG BUNDY & CHRIS CANDIDO

"The fans roared in approval as the Legion of Doom did in fact come to the ring together like the good old days (no Paul Ellering) Both of them however were bandaged up, battered and bruised no where near one hundred percent after the all out war they had against each other.

Bundy would take full advantage of the wounded warriors, getting Hawk in the corner with splash after splash, clothesline after clothesline. Animal would not fair any better against the New Jersey native as he would clubber Animal coming off the ropes and deliver a huge splash in the center of the ring for a NEAR fall.

Animal began coughing up a little bit of blood, but the tide turned for a moment as Candido tagged in and thought the victory was in the bag strutting around the ring like he and Bundy had already won...far from it as Hawk would deliver a huge boot to the face of Chris putting him out! Then the former Midwest Champ would help Animal to his feet and give the signal to the roar of the crowd!

Hawk climbed to the top rope and the DOOMSDAY Finisher was executed to perfection! However Candido credit to him got his foot on the bottom rope right before the three count! The Road Warriors lost it and questioned the official, which gave time for Candido to crawl over and make the hot tag...Bundy stormed into the ring and from behind tossed Hawk over the top rope and to the concrete!

Then Bundy took up Animal and delivered a ring shaking powerslam in the center of the ring, and as Hawk was trying to get back in the ring Candido hit him with his baseball slide to preserve the three count and what many would say the upset victory!!!"

*AFTER THE MATCH AS CANDIDO AND BUNDY LEFT THE RING CELEBRATING, HAWK AND ANIMAL STOOD IN THE DYNAMITE PRO RING FACE TO FACE WITH THE FANS GIVING THEM A STANDING OVATION, THE TWO AFTER AN INTENSE FEW MOMENTS EMBRACED WITH THE FANS CHEERING AND CHANTING "PLEASE DON'T GO, PLEASE DON'T GO TO END THE SHOW.*

SEMI-FINAL RESULTS:

BEAUTY MARKS w/ Cheri Duprie vs. OX BAKER & MISSING LINK w/ Oliver Humperdink

"The New Year for Dynamite Pro kicks off with these two rival teams looking for a spot in the Finals of the Midwest Tag Team Tournament. All out chaos from the get go which heavily favored Humperdink's team but thanks to the distraction of Cherie Dupree on Missing Link, George was able to connect with an airplane spin BUT Cherie because of her actions got a big smooch on the lips by Humperdink! to the delight of the crowd!

This brought down the BLUE MEANIE to ringside as he confronted Sir Oliver on his actions, which led DANNY DORING to lead Cheri who was distraught over what transpired to safety and then attacked the Meanie slamming him into the ringpost! Then went to throw a right hand at Sir Oliver only to get blindsided by a clothesline to the concrete by Baker!

Rose would deliver shoulder tackle off the ring apron crashing onto Baker and the concrete! George would get distracted by all of this and that would give Link not only time to recover but catch the Gorgeous one with his BACK FLYING HEAD BUTT Finisher for the victory and trip to the finals!"

RED BASTIEN & BILLY RED LYONS vs. CHRIS CANDIDO & KING KONG BUNDY[

"The Reds really took control of this match right from the get go and did a great job for most of the match in keeping Candido cut off from his side of the ring to make the hot tag to Bundy. Lyons thought he had the match won with a rolling reverse cradle, but Bundy ran threw Bastien and broke up the pin attempt by tossing Lyons out of the ring!

Bundy went to splash Billy on the concrete but Lyons moved got back in the ring quickly and he and Bastien connected with rapid double dropkicks to Candido for a NEAR fall! Bundy in the corner was screaming in the corner to make the tag...as Chris was slowly making his way, Bundy decided to take matters into his own hands. as he stormed the ring and delivered a huge power drop to Lyons and knocked Bastien off the apron with a shoulder block. He then picked up Chris and tossed him closer to the corner all before any disqualification occurred.

Candido finally made the tag and Bundy stormed back in and threw the downed Lyons into the corner and delivered with great malice delivered his AVALANCHE Finisher for the 3 count and victory!"

MIDWEST TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT

FINALS

OX BAKER & MISSING LINK w/ Oliver Humperdink vs. CHRIS CANDIDO & KING KONG BUNDY

"Surprise another wild start to a tag team match and after a few moments Bundy would clear the ring of his opponents and Chris would deliver a suicide dive threw the ropes crashing into the Missing Link, as Ox welcomed Bundy outside of the ring in which the big man had no problem accepting and they started throwing bombs at one another.

Candido would throw Link into the ring, and as many times as we have scene over the past few months Chris would mock SABU as he looked to put his opponent away UNTIL with the fans chanting for SABU the lights flickered out in the building much like you would see happen in the old bingo hall in Philadelphia...you could here the fans anticipate would could possibly be happening!!!

After a few moments the lights came back on and Candido was screaming for SABU to come out but instead after slamming Bundy head first into the steel post Baker got back in the ring and smashed Candido as soon as the lights came on with brass knuckles! Busting him open and knocked out cold, the official who Oliver Humperdink distracted turned around in all of the confusion and counted Candido down for the three count!"

THE VERY FIRST MIDWEST TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: OX BAKER AND THE MISSING LINK WERE GIVEN THEIR TITLES AND WITH SIR OLIVER HUMPERDINK LEADING THE WAY THEY CELEBRATED IN THE CROWD AS THE SHOW ENDS.

• A Triple Threat Match has also been signed for #THIRTEEN as it will be the manager of the MIDWEST TAG TEAM Champions; SIR OLIVER HUMPERDINK making his in ring debut against the BLUE MEANIE and DANNY DORING
• Word throughout the Tradition offices is that an agreement with a talent from Japan will debut at #FOURTEEN and has also agreed to be the first precipitant entered in the upcoming WORLD CUP OF WRESTLING TOURNAMENT
• The decision on who will be the next challenger for the MIDWEST Championship is ongoing but a decision is expected to be made very soon

RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS vs. BILLY RED LYONS

"One heck of a match to open the event, if you remember it was Lyons and Bastein that upset Stevens and the Midwest Champion in the Midwest Tag Team Tournament in the opening round. In saying that Ray had most certainly had revenge on his mind and it showed right after the bell rang to begin the match

The Crippler went right to his brawling punches which led to a double under hook suplex which sent Lyons out of the ring and once that happened the match began to favor Billy who delivered a monkey flip to his opponent right on the concrete which eventually led to Red applying his FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK Finisher on his opponent around the ringpost!!

Lyons did have to break it but damage was no question done, as he threw the crippler back in the ring and looked to apply the hold once again, when THE CRUSHER showed up at ringside which distracted Lyons enough to where Stevens recovered and connected with a nasty elbow strike to the throat! Suddenly RED BASTIEN came down to ringside to check on his partner, Stevens grabbed Billy and dropped him right on his head with a crippling piledriver!! for the three count and victory."

*AFTER THE MATCH, STEVENS BEGAN BITING LYONS RIGHT IN THE FACE, THIS BROUGHT RED BASTIEN INTO THE RING TO GET THE CRIPPLER! WHICH LED TO THE MIDWEST CHAMPION ENTERING THE RING. OFFICIALS SEPARATED THE CRIPPLER FROM LYONS WHO WAS GETTING CHECKED OUT BY EMT'S AS BASTIEN AND THE CRUSHER HAD A TENSE STARE DOWN IN THE RING*

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
SIR OLIVER HUMPERDINK vs. BLUE MEANIE vs DANNY DORING

"Just an out of control situation from the get go, Humperdink kicked Doring in the groin as the bell rang to start the match, Meanie came off the ropes with a dropkick!! on Humperdink who flew out of the ring! This brought on Meanie dancing right in the center of the ring!

Doring finally recovered and tried a kick to the stomach to Meanie which totally array as his attempt just bounced off with no effect, Meanie then connected with a DDT! for a NEAR fall. Humperdink got back in the ring thanks to his Midwest Tag Team Champions Missing Link and Ox Baker! Oliver broke up the pin attempt with a big splash!!

Jim Duggan and The Sandman came down to ringside to drink beer and cheer on Meanie who Humperdink hit with Brass Knuckles unseen by the official who was distracted by Link and Baker, this led to an all out brawl between Blood, Sweat and Beers and Baker and Link! Humperdink tossed Doring out into the brawl and Meanie somehow recovered despite the knock out shot by Sir Oliver and rolled him up from behind pulling the tights and holding him down for the three count!"

2 OUT OF 3 FALLS GRUDGE MATCH
JIM LONDOS vs. JIM BRUNZELL

FALL ONE:
"These two rivals shook hands to begin the match, Brunzell took Londos down with an arm drag and two consecutive times threw the Greece star into the turnbuckle connecting with a shoulder tackle. Brunzell then went for the kill as he applied his Figure Four Leglock! Londos struggled but eventually reached the ropes for the break. Brunzell for a third time threw Londos into the turnbuckle which was not the charm as Londos caught him flush in the face with a knee and quickly delivered a crotch lift and slam slamming Brunzell right into the turnbuckle back of the head first.

Brunzell's eyes rolled in the back of his head as he was out, Londos applied his BOSTON CRAB Finisher, Brunzell could not respond and the official quickly called for the bell to end the match."

FALL TWO:
The official took Brunzell in the corner and checked on him to make sure he could continue and after a moment or two Brunzell told the referee he could, EMT"s at ringside talked with the official and before a decision was made Brunzell went after Londos. Brunzell would quickly get caught in a arm breaker! After a few moments in the submission, Londos released and connected with his AIRPLANE SPIN Finisher to get the three count and victory in two straight."

"The bell had not even started when these six men just went right after each other, not one participant made it into the ring as it went all over the building, the official had no choice but declare the match a no contest. Suddenly DANNY DORING came down to ringside and smashed THE BLUE MEANIE square in the head with a sickening chair shot busting his head wide open!

This brought a stop to the brawl and EMT's rushing from the back..Duggan and Sandman were furious not only at Doring but the BEAUTY MARKS who were shown in the isle way laughing non stop at what had transpired."

RED BASTIEN vs. KOKO B. WARE

"With the news that Bastien is in line for a Midwest Championship Match as soon as #FIFTEEN he came into this match like a ball of fire, connecting with a flying body press for a NEAR fall right off the bat BUT Ware would fight back and so great resolve as he would deliver a picture perfect flying headbutt as both men came off the ropes!

A top rope dropkick followed by his finisher GHOSTBUSTER! everyone in the building thought Ware had the victory. To the point that his tag team partner PN NEWS came down to ringside but no Bastien just kicked out before the three, BILLY RED LYONS came rushing out and chanted with the crowd who seemed to turn their favor strictly behind Bastien.

Ware was in shock as News continued his support for his partner at ringside, KoKO came off the ropes again with a high cross body block that connected but his momentum would almost would carry him out of the ring but Lyons would stop Ware for the fall outside the ring,

News would confront Lyons as well as Ware from the ring, this would give enough time for Bastien to recover and come off the ropes and connected with his flying head scissors as Ware turned around he got planted right on his head and could not kick out before the three count."

*AFTER THE MATCH NEWS HELPED WARE TO THE BACK, BOTH WERE NOT HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME AS THEY QUESTION THE OFFICIAL*

INTERNATIONAL DREAM MATCH
FRANK GOTCH w/ Dan Severn vs. RIKIDOZAN

"A standing ovation for both men from the crowd to begin the match and a handshake between Gotch and Rikidozan as the opening bell sounded. An arm ringer right into a stiff slap to the chest by the Japan legend had Gotch quickly on his back and having to kick out of a pin attempt early.

Stomp by Rikidozan followed by some wicked overhand chops which led to his THUNDEROUS CHOPS Finisher! Gotch again kicks out before the three count. Frank would get up quickly and look to connect with some punches but Rikidozan avoids and attempts flying head scissors which Gotch side steps and takes his opponent down with a fireman's carry right into a crossface & armbar!!

Rikidozan after struggling for a few moments reaches the ropes for the break and quickly gets up to catch Gotch with two consecutive head butts which rocked the Iowa native right into some more overhead chops by Rikidozan who then applied a picture perfect Boston Crab.

Gotch reaches the ropes for the break but Rikidozan won't break right away and Gotch struggles out of the hold and pushes his opponent into the turnbuckle and connects with a shoulder tackle right into another crossface & arm bar submission. Rikidozan would then realize that Gotch would quickly transition into his GOTCH TOEHOLD Finisher!! BUT Rikidozan would find the strength and mental toughness to somehow reach the ropes for the break to the amazement of everyone in the building.

After the break Gotch would come off the ropes but get caught right into a scoop slam right into a HIPLOCK Finisher by Rikidozan but a kick out by Gotch right before the three count would mean this match continues! Gotch would get to his feet first and would wait for his opponent to go eye to eye with him and the two would trade punches with the crowd hanging on every blow..Gotch would get the upperhand eventually and deliver his Iowa backdrop BUT Rikidozan would get up quickly and again deliver a headbutt followed by another HIPLOCK Finisher only for Gotch to escape again!

Rikidozan screams in anger and delivers another HIPLOCK Finisher to finally hold down Gotch for the hard fought victory."

*AFTER THE MATCH, OFFICIALS AND EMT'S CAME TO THE RING AS BOTH MEN LAY EXHAUSTED IN THE RING TO ANOTHER STANDING OVATION FROM THE CROWD, BOTH MEN AFTER A FEW MOMENTS SLOWLY GOT TO THEIR FEET AND SHOOK HANDS IN A GREAT SHOW ONCE AGAIN OF RESPECT TO END THE SHOW*

• Rumors are running wild, after Rikidozan being victorious over Frank Gotch, the Japan legend wants to begin talks with Dynamite Pro to challenge for the Midwest Championship, something that Mr. Severn and Mr. Gotch are not to pleased about per reports.
• Speaking of Rikidozan, it is official he will represent of course Japan in the upcoming World Cup of Wrestling Tournament. We can also confirm that Dan Severn has negotiated Frank Gotch be apart of the Tournament to represent the USA! They join Jim Londos who will represent Greece as names being officially confirmed for the event up till this point with 5 more slots to be filled.
• It is official at #FIFTEEN, Red Bastien will challenge for the Midwest Championship in the Main Event against The Crusher
• It is also conformed for #FIFTEEN a number one contenders match for the Midwest Tag Team Titles will take place as the Beauty Marks will face Blood Sweat and Beers.

DANNY DORING vs. BLUE MEANIE

"These two rivals go at it ounce again, the crowd expected some comedic moments between these two like we seen in the past like a dance off or terrible jokes toward one another...NOT TONIGHT as both men took it to their old ECW roots with some crazy brawling out side of the ring!

At one point we saw Meanie do a Meanie-sault off the guardrail to the downed Doring on the concrete!!!, Meanie threw Doring back in the ring and looked to cover Danny but got caught coming back in the ring threw the ropes as Doring connected with a sick knee lift which sent Meanie hard back to the concrete!

Doring came right out and delivered some really stiff right hands to Meanie ignoring the count by the official inside the ring, which ended the match in a double count out!"

*DORING DID NOT CARE AS HE CONTINUED WITH HIS BARRAGE OF RIGHTS AND LEFTS BLOODING THE FACE OF MEANIE, FINALLY SANDMAN CAME TO THE RING A LEVELED DORING RIGHT IN THE FACE WITH A SAVAGE SINGAPORE CANE SHOT TO THE FACE!!! THIS BROUGHT OUT THE BEAUTY MARKS BUT AS THEY HIT THE ISLE WAY THEY DECIDED NOT TO GET INVOLVED AND GO BACK TO PREPARE FOR THEIR MATCH.*

#1 CONTENDER TAG TEAM MATCH
BEAUTY MARKS vs. BLOOD, SWEAT & BEERS

"These two rival teams go at it, without Meanie and Doring involved to start out with BUT Cheri Dupree was in her man George's corner and because of her distraction he was able to get a NEAR fall on Duggan with a small package and tights!

Sandman made the save only to get caught by Buddy Rose with a nasty kick to the back sending him hard to the outside where Cheri slapped the ECW legend right in the face in which the Sandman responded with a smile and him telling her "He likes it rough!" this disgusts Cheri who backs right into the BLUE MEANIE who is all blood stained and bandaged up he grabs hewr and slings her over his shoulder and takes her to the back with her screaming!

Meanwhile Jim Duggan connects with his spinning bodyslam but gets pulled down by the hair slamming down to the mat thanks to George from the outside who then makes the hot tag from Rose. George then gets Jim up for an airplane spin then drops the New York native right on his head off his shoulders for the three count and victory!!! to become number one contenders for the MIDWEST TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS."

MIDWEST CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
(C) THE CRUSHER vs. RED BASTIEN

"After the Crusher in the MIDWEST tag team title tournament, Bastien looked to do it again to become Midwest Champion, he came in with purpose early on in the match catvhing the Wisconsin native with several forearm smashes.

This however seemed to anger the champion as Red came off the ropes Crusher launched him in the lights with a back body drop that had a horrific landing right on the back of Bastien's head and neck! The Crusher would go in for a choke and as the referee counted to four Crusher finally broke the hold only to deliver his CRUSHER BOLO Finisher but only for a NEAR win as Bastien escaped! Only to feel the CRUSHER BOLO Finisher once again almost immediately to give the Champion the decisive victory"

*AFTER THE MATCH, THE CRUSHER DECIDED TO DELIVER SOME FOREARM SHOTS OF HIS OWN TO BASTIEN WHO WAS TRYING TO DEFEND HIMSELF THIS BROUGHT IN BILLY RED LYONS TO GO AFTER THE CRUSHER WHICH BROUGHT RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS DOWN AND BOTH TEAMS TORE INTO EACH OTHER! SECURITY STORMED TO THE RING AND FINALLY WAS ABLE TO SEPARATE THE TWO TEAMS.

FRANK GOTCH WAS SHOWN AT RINGSIDE AT ONESIDE OF THE RING AND RIKIDOZAN WAS SHOWN IN THE ISLE WAY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RING WATCHING CLOSELY TO THE BRAWL AS THE SHOW ENDED.*
