Not sure what I think of this and if everyone has heard this ... the new looney toons cartoon they took away his gun and gave him a grim reaper sickle to hunt bugs with. As a kid I think I would be horrified by that.

So it’s ok to slice Bugs’ head off, but not shoot him? Dear god... |

As a kid, I think may main concern would be, "Is this funny or not?" Not whether or not Fudd has a gun. This was the first Fudd cartoon ever I saw, on a video tape comp I had. Lots of firecrackers but no gun to be seen. And yet somehow the world of 1953 moved on. |

I think giving him a sharp object is at least as dangerous (not very but knives are more available than guns). I hear they are taking Yosemite Sam's guns too.
Honesty I saw a modern Tom and Jerry cut of a classic toon, I watched as a kid. How did my brother and I grow up alive so easily, I will never know?
I love the disclaimers on old uncut cartoon sets too. You would swear you were buying something X-rated.
