That is awesome! It's also fantastic to hear that there is a Global/Texas fan on the signing team! I would love to see cards for Black Bart, John Tatum, Gary Young, Killer Brooks, and so many others! That is a good list! I would love some of those names. I didn't get to see Global after they went off ESPN around the start of '93, as we lived in Ohio at the time. But I loved the concept of new wrestling matches on every day after school. I didn't get home until after 4:00 and I always hoped my school bus would be ahead of schedule so I wouldn't miss any GWF matches. I really thought Global was going to be a major third-party wrestling promotion and have a PPV event.

I remember some good times with Global for sure. Even in the end when it went weird and there was that GI Bro guy.

I'll have to look up the Long Riders but I do remember Bill Irwin in WCW.

Except I lived close enough to walk, so I would run home to make sure I didn't miss that 4pm start time! When I heard the Doug Gilbert card was coming, I was really hoping it was Dark Patriot!

Please please let this lead to a Super Destroyer card...please The authorization form gave us permission to do both the Long Riders and the Super Destroyers. Cory Olson Good work, little brother! Does it give permission to use The Goon too?

I contacted Bill Irwin about LOW after a suggestion to do so from another wrestler who is signed for LOW but not yet released. Bill and I have spoken on the phone several times and he has been so friendly and willing to let us make cards for him and Scott, contacting Scott's kids to get their blessing and really pushing the game to them. I have Bill's number in my phone saved as "Wild" Bill Irwin. With the quotes around "Wild," he is now the first name listed in my contacts. And when he calls me, he will always say, "Hi, Cory. This is 'Wild' Bill Irwin." I was a huge fan of Global during their time on ESPN and loved watching Bill as a babyface. And as an AWA fan, I am excited to have the Long Riders in the game. I hope you guys enjoy the cards! Love this! I always enjoy hearing the background stories about the signings and especially enjoy when a wrestler or a wrestler's family is really into being a part of the game. I love that this game can keep wrestler's memories alive in such a unique way. Hall of fames are great but there's something special about being able to use a wrestler's card that helps make them seem real and bring a real feeling of what that wrestler was like in the ring. I also love getting AWA guys. I grew up hearing stories of AWA wrestling from my dad so I always love getting anyone from the AWA. James Storm is also an awesome get! Great job, everyone! My feelings exactly, pikemojo! There’s no better way to keep a wrestler’s legacy alive. That’s why I’m always so disappointed when we hear of a wrestler or their family member declining to be in the game, unless of course they’re contractually prohibited. Now, about that Legends game being sent to Bret Hart...
