As with my GWF World Championship thread, I've decided to simplify matters a bit. I've discovered I do prefer to have one World Champ upon whom I'm concentrating at a time, versus several projects going on at once. That, and the discussion board's formatting won't really allow me to keep these kinds of records alphabetically, by wrestler, so I'm going to keep my wrestlers' records myself; that will be easier for me at least.
So, I'm going to marry my traditional approach, to having the one World Champion touring the member territories of the WWA, taking on all comers, with the 20 title defenses/wins = 1 Title Reign approach of the model I'd set up for this "replay" thread originally. This thread will now concentrate on the individual matches of the touring WWA World Champ, as he defends in all of the territories. Champ wins, he holds on to the belt, and defends his title in the next territory....with rematches and feuds built upon DQ's, COR's, etc. Champ loses, then the new champion picks up where the old champion left off, and assumes the scheduled defenses. Most "cards" will simply consist of the World Championship match for that month, although oftentimes, I will feature other bouts (for secondary titles and tag titles).
The reason I'm going to the 20 title defenses/wins = 1 Title reign format is this game will see more frequent title changes; so in order to prevent one World Champion having 72 different title reigns by the time I'm old and gray, the 20 defenses/wins format will work better for me!
So, let's pick this up for our WWA World Champion in Season 16 of my WWA. Our champion is The Crusher, having defeated Nick Bockwinkel for the belt in a great match. One card equals one month in this format.
SEASON 16 RESULTS
OCTOBER: The Crusher DQ Wild Bull Curry in a wild match (**1/4). Curry has proven to be one of the better heels in all of the WWA, and was on a nice win-streak to earn this title shot! The two men battled outside of the ring several times, and the referee finally had enough of things, giving Crusher the hook when he would simply not stop going to Fist City!
Our champion will next head to St. Louis for a scheduled defense against Macho Man Randy Savage.
Crusher: 3rd Title Defense (in this run...as I mentioned earlier, I'm keeping career defenses/title wins separately now, although I will share those from time to time on this thread!).

NOVEMBER: The Crusher DQ Randy Savage when Savage tore into 'Da Crusher outside of the ring, leading to the disqualification (**1/4). Match was a brawl right from the start, as one would expect from our champion. 'Da Crusher is not a delicate flower, that's for sure! Savage seemed to want to play right along with this, and the match deteriorated quickly into a Pier 6 Brawl!
Folks, we've got a little extra time, so let's take you to Philadelphia for a WGX Title Match (PROMOTER'S NOTE: WGX is my version of NXT for my WWA. In my world, its owned by WWA, and is a fed where I play out title tours for all of the independent wrestlers I possess). In a rematch, Nick Aldis b. Fred Yehi with an Elbow Drop to re-capture the WGX Championship (**1/2). Aldis had sworn revenge against Yehi after Yehi had upset him for the title a couple of months ago, and came through on his promise tonight! Will we see an Aldis-Yehi III, as there has been good heat between them?? Stay tuned fans!
Our champion will next travel to Kansas City for a scheduled title defense against the great Harley Race.
Crusher: 4 Title Defenses.

DECEMBER: Harley Race b. The Crusher with a Piledriver to become the nnnnneeeewwww WWA World Heavyweight Champion in a great match (****3/4). The action went back and forth so many times in this one, and it looked like anyone's contest right up 'til the final 1-2-3. The Crusher finally seemed to run out of gas towards the end of the bout, which allowed Race to seize the advantage, and grab the World crown once again! Good run for the Crusher, always entertaining!
Folks, we've got a little extra time this evening, so we're going to take you live to WWA HQ for a Tag-Team Title match. Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens battled to a double DQ with The Armstrongs in a heated contest (**1/2). While not a long bout, the intensity was palpable in this one WWA fans! Ending saw Bob Armstrong and Nick Bockwinkel battle outside of the ring, and the action just got too out of hand for our esteemed referee's taste (our referees here in the WWA do not put up with these kinds of shenanigans!). Expect a rematch soon...
As for our newly crowned World Champion, he will travel to Springfield, MO for a scheduled defense against the great Barry Windham. This will start Season 17 of the WWA.

I begrudgingly offer congratulations to Race. I like seeing more of the action from the other WWA stars. Perhaps we'll see more undercard matches in the future?

Race vs Crusher sounds like a lot of fun. It was Troy, it was. These 2 seemed destined to lock horns again sometime...
