WEEK 23: Randy Savage DQ The Junkyard Dog when the action quickly spilled outside of the ring, and went to Fist City, with the Dog instigating the brawl (**). Savage retains the belt in this wild melee! And he's lucky too, as next week, he faces his sometimes friend/more often rival Hulk Hogan!
On the undercard, The Flying Redheads successfully defended the WWA World Tag-Team Titles by b. Jerry Blackwell and Sheik Adnan Al-Kassie with the Atomic Drop (**1/2). While physically the underdogs, the Redheads used their speed and quickness to defeat the bruising heels, and the fans ate it up!
Redheads: 2 Title Defenses. Savage: 3 Title Defenses.
WEEK 24: Hulk Hogan b. Randy Savage with the Atomic Leg Drop to become the nnnnnnnneeeeewwwww WWA World Heavyweight Champion (***1/2). Great action in this match, with an abrupt finish, as once the Immortal One had Savage on the mat, he hit the Leg Drop, and that was all she wrote! Savage was K.O.'d, and Hogan took the opportunity to pose in front of the crowd as "Real American" played in the arena!
On the undercard, Tiger Conway, Sr. successfully defended the St. Louis Heavyweight Title with the Twist & Shout over Iron Mike DiBiase (**). As Conway, Sr. celebrated the win, he was suddenly and deliberately attacked from behind by Ted DiBiase, desiring to gain revenge for his father's loss. DiBiase then proceeded to beat Conway, Sr. from pillar to post until order was finally restored. Oh the humanity of it all!
Conway, Sr.: 3 Title Defenses.
Up first for our newly crowned World Champ is another match from St. Louis, MO against the Iron Sheik! And on the undercard, Tiger Conway, Sr. will defend his St. Louis Title against the vicious Ted DiBiase, to try and gain revenge for the attack!
