WEEK 13: Pedro Morales b. Adrian Adonis with the knee drop backbreaker to retain the WWA World Title (**1/2). This was a return bout from earlier, but frankly, Adonis didn't stand much chance this evening. Our champion had his working boots on, to be sure!
Morales: 10 Title Defenses.
WEEK 14: Pedro Morales COR Chris Jericho after an extended period of brawling, maintaining possession of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship (***1/2). Good bout, with a lot of heat! This was another return bout from earlier, and nothing has been resolved yet....a lot of tension between these 2!
Morales: 11 Title Defenses.
WEEK 15: Pedro Morales b. Buddy Rogers with the Boston Crab, making relatively short work of the original Nature Boy this evening (**1/2). Tell you what, our champion is on a bit of a roll, now up to 12 Title Defenses, with not many slouches in the bunch!
On the undercard, Tiger Conway Sr. successfully defended his St. Louis Heavyweight Title by beating Rowdy Roddy Piper with the Sunset Flip (**1/2). Tiger's on fire WWA fans, proving his St. Louis Title win against Wild Bull Curry was no fluke! Fans were loving him tonight as well!
Morales: 12 Title Defenses. Conway, Sr.: 1 Title Defense.
Up next for our WWA World Heavyweight Champion is a trip to Kansas City for a scheduled defense against Randy Savage!

WEEK 16: Pedro Morales DQ Randy Savage (***). A LOT of heat in this one, WWA fans! Both men were going to Fist City at the end of this contest, and there were fireworks galore! A rematch is most assuredly going to happen with this one!
On the undercard, Nick Aldis b. Timothy Thatcher to retain the WGX Title (**1/2). Match showed promise at the start, but with Aldis winning in short order, never really got cooking.
Aldis: 2 Title Defenses. Morales: 13 Title Defenses.
WEEK 17: Pedro Morales DQ Randy Savage, their 2nd straight DQ match (**1/2). Another bout that was just red hot, right from the start, and it quickly deteriorated into a Pier 6 Brawl, with Savage having to be restrained after the bell! Nothing's been settled so far between these 2....and the action is so hot, they will tee it up again next week!
On the undercard, The Flying Redheads b. the Long Riders with a Figure 4 Leglock to retain the WWA World Tag-Team Titles (***1/4). Fun match, with Bastien and Lyons showing their considerable tag-team skills in this one!
Redheads: 1 Title Defense. Morales: 14 Title Defenses.
WEEK 18: Randy Savage b. Pedro Morales with a Flying Elbow Smash to become the nnnnnnneeeeeewwwww WWA World Heavyweight Champion, winning both their feud and the title in one fell swoop (***). Fans, we've witnessed a very strong title reign with Pedro Morales, and we want to thank him for being a fine champion....sure wish he could've prevailed this evening against the rather mercurial Savage! Savage was not to be denied this evening though, and he steamrolled Morales in the last few minutes of this bout to capture the World Title!
On the undercard, Jim Londos DQ Buzz Sawyer(**1/2). There's been some bad blood between these 2 for a while now, stemming from a great match in a previous season. So far, Sawyer's got Londos's number in terms of doling out more punishment!
Up next for our newly minted champion is a trip to St. Louis for his first scheduled defense against Tiger Conway, Jr.!

WEEK 19: In a bit of a stunner, Tiger Conway, Jr. d. Randy Savage with a Huracanrana to become the nnnneeeewwww WWA World Heavyweight Champion (***1/2). Shocker WWA fans!! We've just witnessed a huge upset, and all hail our new champion! Savage immediately challenged for a rematch, and Conway, ever the gentleman wrestler, has obliged for next week! Can Conway prove he's no fluke and keep the belt??? WEEK 20: Well Tiger, you shouldn't have taken that rematch!! Randy Savage b. Tiger Conway, Jr. with a flying elbow smash to regain the WWA World Heavyweight Championship in a very good bout (****1/2). Action was fast and furious in this one, and fans, Tiger Conway, Jr. proved he was no fluke, taken Savage deep in this contest, almost managing to keep the World Strap while at it! Savage took the action outside a few times, brawling with Conway in an effort to rough him up, but Conway again refused to back down. The end however saw Savage throttle Conway with a series of offensive maneuvers and then put him away with the big elbow. Conway gained a lot of respect WWA fans, but unfortunately, its Savage once again wearing the belt....excuse me, "unfortunately for Conway" I should've said, as this erstwhile reporter needs to be impartial! Up next for our (once again) newly crowned champ is a trip to Springfield, MO for a scheduled defense against Antonino Rocca!

WEEK 21: Randy Savage DQ Antonino Rocca to retain the WWA World Heavyweight Championship in a good bout (***). Rocca had his chances, which only served to infuriate our champion tonight, who, when he had the opportunity, went to Fist City against Rocca, leading to the referee giving him the hook!
On the undercard, Jimmy Valiant b. Bob Armstrong with the Super Elbow (***). Valiant is a top contender for the St. Louis Heavyweight Title! And, in a rematch from Pedro Morales' title reign, Chris Jericho b. Pedro Morales with the Walls of Jericho (****1/4). Very good bout, with a lot of heat between these two! Fans were less than thrilled to see Jericho win in this bout, but perhaps Pedro will get another shot at him later.
Savage: 1 Title Defense.
WEEK 22: Randy Savage b. Lou Thesz with the Flying Elbow Smash in a fantastic bout (*****....MATCH OF THE YEAR CANDIDATE!). This was an instant classic, with both men at their absolute best. Ending saw Thesz nearly put Savage away with the Thesz Press, only to have our champion escape and eventually nail Thesz with the Elbow for the 1-2-3....just a great, great title match!
On the undercard, Tiger Conway, Sr. b. Butcher Vachon with the Let's Twist & Shout to retain the St. Louis Heavyweight Title (**3/4). Conway, St. is proving he's no fluke ladies and gentlemen as he successfully defends the prestigious St. Louis Title once again, with Butcher going down screaming to the finishing move!
Up next for our World Champion is a trip to Kansas City for a scheduled defense against the Junkyard Dog.
Conway, Sr: 2 Title Defenses. Savage: 2 Title Defenses.
