OMEGA GWF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
World Championship Title Reigns: 2
Career Defenses: 63
NOTES:
*Omega has been very successful as World Champion so far, against both the classic COTG era and the "modern" era.
*Greatest rival so far has been K.O. Keller. The two have engaged in some wars.
Match History (NOTE: Matches will start with #1, but obviously, with 55 career defenses, Omega has competed in many more matches than what are being shown here. But, the history for this career project, as well all of my career projects, will start "in progress" with Match 1. Also, the date listed is simply when I played the match, so yes, there may be multiple defenses on one date):
1. Omega DQ Invincible Krakan, New York, 6/24/20 (**).
2. Omega b. Jet Set Strutter, Tomahawk Chop, Rochester, 6/24/20 (***1/4). Jet is always fun, a Flair tribute which I've used in my GWF battles.
3. Omega b. Man-Mountain, Tomahawk Chop, Syracuse, 6/24/20 (**1/4). Yes, THAT Man-Mountain, from the Norse Gods. These are title tours a la the old NWA folks, with the World Champion travelling to member territory after member territory, and taking on the local stars. So, I envision a lot of these wrestlers as territorial stars, even tag-team specialists at times.
4. Omega b. Invincible Krakan, leg drop, Buffalo, 6/25/20 (**1/4). Revenge for Omega, from match 1. Take that, you evil CTA-102 wrestler you!
5. Omega DQ GQ Stratus, Toronto, 6/27/20 (**). Stratus is always a load of fun, and I use him in my GWF fed, as well as my bootleg fed too. He has a long history against Omega and family.
6. Omega b. Tiger Patel, War Dance, New York, 6/27/20 (**1/4). Tiger Patel is my own bootleg, and is a Tiger Jeet Singh tribute.
7. Omega b. Draconian Sheik, War Dance, Pittsburgh, 6/29/20 (**1/4). Always love the Sheik!
8. Omega b. Marcus Colby, Indian Death Lock, Philadelphia, 7/1/20 (**). I've used Colby a lot in my GWF too, as well as my bootleg fed.
9. K.O. Keller b. Omega, Ten Count, Washington, DC, 7/1/20 (***). Keller OWNS Omega...owns him. And, he makes a great "crazy Terry Funk" type to boot!
10. Holocaust b. Omega, WAR Gun, Baltimore, MD, 7/1/20 (***). Bit of an upset!
11. Holocaust b. Omega, WAR Gun, New York, 7/2/20 (***). In the rematch, the big man proves supreme again, and picks up his 2nd Interplanetary Title Defense (see my "Different Way to Play" thread). Holocaust may eventually qualify for his own World Title Reign.
12. Omega b. Killer Queen, Abdominal Stretch, Rochester, 7/2/20 (**1/2). Back on the winning track...but can he ever beat Keller??
7/4/20:
13. Omega b. K.O. Keller, War Dance, Toronto (****3/4). Finally, Omega gets a win over Keller, in an outstanding match!! Keller had Omega dead to rights with a TEN COUNT, but somehow Omega managed to get to the ropes! From that point, Omega showed incredible intestinal fortitude, and staged one heckuva comeback to win, battering Keller from pillar to post! Now, that's a great feud match!
7/5/20:
14. Omega b. Absalom, Tomahawk Thrust, Portland, ME (**1/4). Absalom's from the CPC sets, and I always kinda found him fun. Went down pretty easily for Omega though!
15. Omega b. Holocaust, Abdominal Stretch, New York (****1/2). Outstanding match! This caps of a fun little feud, with Holocaust playing the subtle heel during all of it. Gets Holocaust over (at least with me!), so he could get a title project down the road of his own! Very good back and forth on this one, with the ending coming out of nowhere.
7/12/20:
16. Pegasus b. Omega, Project Pegasus, Albany (**). In my GWF, Pegasus has been a heel for years. He's a natural Flair-type to me, just the arrogant platinum blonde heel, and he's had an ongoing feud with the Omega family for years. This match has rekindled that feud!
17. Omega b. Mr. Psycho, Tomahawk Thrust, Uniontown, PA (**1/2). After Pegasus, I scheduled a bit of a breather for Omega, and selected Mr. Psycho from GWFZ fame, picturing him as a local territory heel. Fun little match, in that Psycho gave Omega a little trouble at the beginning, but Omega's just too tough.
7/14/20:
18. Omega DQ Commander Sam, Pittsburgh, PA (***). These 2 haven't always been the friendliest of allies, and it showed tonight. The GWF Title makes a man do many things to try and win/defend it!
19. Omega DQ Valour, Philadelphia, PA (**1/2). I've always pictured Valour as a Ken Patera-type....just works in my head for some reason! And he was awful rough on Omega tonight!
7/16/20:
20. Cthulhu b. Omega, Reanimator, Cleveland (***). Cthulhu is from the GWFZ sets, and is a fun, evil big man. He obviously gave Omega a handful tonight, and will gain an Interplanetary Title defense for his efforts!
21. Omega b. Commander Sam, Tomahawk Thrust, Columbus, OH (**1/2). Omega gains revenge from Sam's antics a couple of matches ago. Good heat between these two!
