As with the World Championship project in the GWF world, each post will house a specific legends wrestler's career record. Should be fun, so let's get started!

JIM LONDOS WWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY

World Championship Title Reigns: 1

Career Defenses: 20

NOTES:

*To me, Londos is actually underrated, not overrated. He is one of the classic babyface wrestlers of all time, and I enjoy using him, wrestling against wrestlers from all eras. He's held his own too, winning more often than losing, and has a white hot feud going with Nick Bockwinkel.
*His greatest rival to date in my version of the game is Strangler Lewis.

Match History:

7/1/20:

1. Jim Londos DQ Mad Dog Sawyer, St. Louis (**). Sawyer (bootleg version) went beserk at end, and just lost it on Londos. Rematch will be forthcoming!
2. Nick Bockwinkel d. Jim Londos, Bockwinkel Sleeper, Chicago (***). Bock owns Londos at moment, but has been aided immensely by Bobby Heenan handing him brass knuckles in 2 straight matches (Boo! Boo!).
3. Jim Londos b. Dick The Bruiser, Airplane Spin, St. Louis (**1/2).
4. Mad Dog Sawyer DQ Jim Londos, Kansas City (**). Londos gains some measure of revenge against Sawyer, but loses the bout....the feud rolls on!

7/2/20:

5. Jim Londos b. Dick Hutton, Airplane Spin, St. Louis (**3/4). Great babyface match, which did see Hutton bend the rules at times!
6. Nick Bockwinkel b. Jim Londos, Figure-Four, Des Moines (***...this was a NO DQ Match!). Londos was in control first half of this, but Bock always seems to find a way!

7/3/20:

7. Ivan Koloff b. Jim Londos, Russian Sickle, Detroit (**3/4). Koloff picks up another defense as a World Champion, and denies Londos another defense.
8. Jim Londos b. Fit Finlay, Airplane Spin, Cleveland (****1/2). Great match! Finlay was NOT going down easily, and gave the champ everything he could handle! I used Finlay's current color card, and he had his chances to win, but couldn't put The Golden Greek down!

7/4/20:

9. Jim Londos b. Johnny Valentine, Airplane Spin, Chicago (**). Londos was brilliant in this one, dispatching the great Valentine very quickly!

7/5/20:

10. In a terrific match, Buzz Sawyer b. Jim Londos, Power Slam, St. Louis (*****...MOTYC!!). What a match, the 3rd between these two! This is the great thing about this game....you just never know what feuds will erupt!! And this one has erupted. What a bout, just so much back and forth with Sawyer accumulating 6 tokens and Londos accumulating 7 tokens. So, both wore the proverbial crimson mask! Sawyer picks up a St. Louis Title defense for his win, and holds the upper hand in this hotly contested feud!
11. "The French Angel" Maurice Tillet COR Jim Londos, Kansas City (***). Well, our champion has another feud on his hands now with the strange and spectacular Tillet!

KERRY VON ERICH WWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY

World Championship Title Reigns: 1

Career Defenses: 16

NOTES:

*3 things are certain in life: Death, taxes, and the fact that Ric Flair will always defeat KVE. Just amazing how many times Flair has put KVE away....but our valiant warrior continues to try!
*One real-life feud that has definitely translated to my tabletop is the Von Erichs vs. The Freebirds!
*I (probably obviously) do use bootlegs in the legends world as well, but only if their stats follow official guidelines (I'm a bootleg snob! ).

Match History:

7/3/20:

1. Ric Flair b. Kerry Von Erich, Figure Four, St. Louis (***). See my first note. KVE just cannot seem to defeat Flair, no matter how many times he's tried!
2. Michael Hayes DQ Kerry Von Erich, Dallas, TX (**). 1st Freebird down, and this time a loss!
3. Kerry Von Erich DQ Jimmy Garvin, Fort Worth, TX (**). 2nd Freebird (at least somewhat) down, and this time a win! Short match, but furious in its intensity!
4. Kerry Von Erich d. Buddy Roberts, Discus Punch, Austin, TX (***). Good bout, Roberts gave KVE all he could handle and more! It won't show up in these project replays, but I will eventually do a War Games style match between the Freebirds and Von Erich's if this keeps up!

7/4/20:

5. Rowdy Roddy Piper d. Kerry Von Erich, Foreign Object, St. Louis (***1/2). Piper hit KVE twice with an unidentified foreign object, busting Von Erich open the second time. The St. Louis faithful were not pleased!

7/8/20:

6. Jimmy Garvin DQ Kerry Von Erich, Kansas City (**). This feud continues, as nothing was settled between them. Temper, temper Kerry, as it cost you a win!
7. Gino Hernandez b. Kerry Von Erich, turnbuckle jump/knee drop, St. Louis (**3/4). Bit of a surprise here, as Von Erich goes down to the brash Hernandez (who picks up a St. Louis Title defense). Fun match, while it lasted.
8. Kerry Von Erich b. Jake "the Snake" Roberts, discus punch, Charlotte (**). Back on the winning track, with a strong showing.
9. Kerry Von Erich b. Colonel DeBeers, Iron Claw, Kansas City (**1/2). Another strong showing from our champion, netting his 2nd title defense in a row!

7/12/20:

10. Kerry Von Erich DQ Ric Flair, St. Louis (**3/4). Well, it's a victory, albeit a DQ. I checked my records for KVE, and I couldn't find a clean win over Flair yet. This feud continues on, with the frustration growing by the minute for KVE.

7/16/20:

11. Kerry Von Erich DQ Michael Hayes, Dallas, TX (**3/4). Tensions continue to boil over between the lead Freebird and KVE. Hayes put a beating on KVE tonight!

LOU THESZ WWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY

World Championship Title Reigns: 1

Career Defenses: 54

NOTES:

*Well, as my avatar might suggest, I am a bit of a Thesz fan. And Thesz has delivered for me, certainly as champion. He was a dominant champion in the traditional Legends fed I've run, and I expect him to do more of the same during this style of project.
*Thesz works really well as champion due to the fact that he can be the classic face, or subtle heel. Makes choosing opponents for him pretty easy.
*His greatest rival in my wrestling world is none other than Buddy Rogers (art somewhat imitating real life!). They have had some wars, and I hope that continues!
*7/17/20: Thesz has beaten 4 out of his last 5 opponents, but did lose to Rikidozan twice, setting up a good feud between these 2 giants. Thesz showing a good talent for outlasting his opponent's big moves/finishers except for Rikidozan, whose 2 finishers give Thesz problems.

Match History:

7/7/20:

1. Lou Thesz b. Ray Stevens, Thesz Press, St. Louis (**1/2). Stevens is also a personal fave of mine, and is quite an accomplished tag-team wrestler (I believe he's a tag champion in my WWA with 3 different partners).
2. Buddy Rogers DQ Lou Thesz, Chicago (**3/4). Well, this certainly picks right back up where it left off! The heat is pretty palpable between these two...even in cardstock!

7/12/20:

3. Lou Thesz b. Iron Sheik, Thesz Press, Detroit (**). Short work of the Sheik for Thesz!
4. Buddy Rogers b. Lou Thesz, Figure Four Grapevine, St. Louis (***). Rogers wins in the rematch between these 2, and really controls the 2nd half of the match! The beat goes on between these 2 bitter rivals!

7/14/20:

5. Lou Thesz b. Steve Williams, Greco-Roman Backdrop, Buddokan Hall, Japan (****). The WWA Title....and Title holder....starts of a short tour of Japan with a hard-fought victory over Steve Williams! This was a hard-hitting affair, and our champion will feel this one for a while!
6. The Destroyer b. Lou Thesz, Figure Four, Tokyo, Japan (**1/2). Well, our champion continues his recent .500 ways, dropping this match to the great Destroyer. Destroyer notches a World Title defense of his own, he himself a WWA World Champion in my fed's history. Next up....Rikidozan!!

7/17/20:

7. Rikidozan b. Lou Thesz, Thunderous Chop, Tokyo, Japan (****). A great match finishes off this tour of Japan, with Japan's wrestling hero going over. Action went back and forth a lot on this one, and there will most assuredly be a rematch!
8. Lou Thesz b. Dick Hutton, Thesz Press, Los Angeles, CA (**). Thesz back state-side, and gets a win over an old rival, the first of 3 matches in the LA area!
9. Lou Thesz b. Freddie Blassie, Greco Roman Backdrop, Los Angeles (**3/4). Thesz with another solid win, this time over the always dangerous Blassie!
10. Rikidozan b. Lou Thesz, Thunderous Chops, Los Angeles, CA (***1/2). Another solid match between these two, but unfortunately for Thesz, another loss. Rikidozan seems to have his number, and is jubilant to have won the rematch after travelling to the U.S. to take on Thesz!
11. Lou Thesz b. Handsome Jimmy Valiant, Greco Roman Backdrop, Memphis, TN (**3/4). Thesz back on the east coast, and gets back on the winning track against the heel Valiant!
12. Lou Thesz b. Nikolai Volkoff, Greco Roman Backdrop, Washington, DV (**3/4). Volkoff tough early in this one, but Thesz's agility is just too much for the big man.

7/18/20:

13. Lou Thesz b. Buddy Rogers, Greco Roman Backdrop, St. Louis (****). Very good match, with Thesz picking up a win in this rematch between hated rivals!
14. Lou Thesz COR Angelo Poffo, Kansas City (****3/4). This was a GREAT match, and had it not had a count-out ending, would've been a MOTY candidate! Poffo gamely held on, and then had Thesz dead to rights a couple of times, but our champion somehow got out of it each time. Poffo, the heel in this bout, even heard a few cheers as he almost eked out victory over the great Thesz. But Thesz just kept kicking out at 2 3/4's each time! Sets up a great rematch, and also a possible match with Randy Savage.

Update posted to the Kerry Von Erich title project. KVE splits 4 matches, winning 2, losing 2, with one feud continuing and one starting.

Appreciate it Troy! Once this project reaches critical mass, we will have a reasonably easy way to see how certain wrestlers fare at a glance. Each wrestler will have a "match dump" if you will of their career matches, and it should be enough for each wrestler....over time of course (i.e., I won't be posting 50 matches in a week for Thesz anytime soon!)....to tell, at a glance, how well they've performed as compared to historic.

Of course, there is no "historic" for my GWF projects, but we'll still be able to see how certain cards perform fairly easily.
