MARCH: The Perfect Specimen b. Saber in a fantastic match, ending Saber's evil reign, with the Excellence Elbow Lock, to recapture the GWF World Heavyweight Title (*****...Match of the Year Candidate!!). This bout had it all, including Spec gaining his revenge, both for himself and the Titans, in defeating the evil Saber. Saber once again tried to use his "Sonic Wave" foreign object, only this time, Spec turned the tables and knocked it out of his hands. From that point in the match forward, Spec took control and beat Saber from pillar to post! All hail our new champion!
On the undercard this evening, Scion Nexus & Nitro b. The Norse Gods to successfully defend their GWF World Tag-Team Championships, scoring the win on the Rise & Fall (**1/2). Nexus and Nitro have been a great pairing, and continue to represent the GWF well as Tag-Team Champions! Tonight they were never really in danger of losing the belts, and showed their great teamwork in defeating the Norse Gods!
Now that The Perfect Specimen has exacted his revenge, who will be his next challenge? Stay tuned GWF fans for his next upcoming match, next month, from Boston, MA (PROMOTER'S NOTE: Still mapping out the next wave of challengers folks, and seeing who might be some intriguing opponents)!

APRIL: Perfect Specimen b. U.S. Traitor with the Pinnacle of Success to successfully defend the GWF World Heavyweight Championship (**1/2). Frankly, Traitor didn't have a chance against our champion, who had his working shoes on tonight! Specimen ran circles around U.S. Traitor, much to the crowd's delight, and put him away reasonably fast. Spec posed afterwards as the crowd ate it up!
On the undercard, in a match for the Interplanetary Heavyweight Title, Battering Ram DQ The Draconian Sheik when the Sheik was disqualified for excessive brawling outside of the ring (***). Good match while it lasted, with Ram having his opportunities to win the belt, and not able to capitalize on them. The Sheik is proving to be quite the IP champion at the moment, at least in terms of holding on to the belt by hook or by crook!
Up next for our World Champion is a date with The Duke of Destruction from Pittsburgh, PA next month.
Draconian Sheik: 7 Title Defenses. Spec: 1 Title Defense.

MAY: Perfect Specimen DQ The Duke of Destruction when the dastardly Duke took the bout outside of the ring and proceeded to hammer away at him with all manner of illegal punches and kicks, ending the match with a disqualification (**). Well, it was apparent early on in this one that the Duke was outclassed by Spec, so he quickly resorted to his nefarious bag of tricks to try and win the title by dubious means. Spec would have none of it, and until the Duke lured him outside of the ring, was soundly thrashing the Duke.
Well, the Duke will have to get back in line GWF fans, as the title waits for no man. Up next for our champion is a return bout in the never-ending feud Spec has with Godsend. That will originate from a sold-out Madison Square Garden in NY next month, and we'll see all of you there!
Spec: 2 Title Defenses.

JUNE: Godsend b. The Perfect Specimen with the Hell's Threshold to become once again the GWF World Heavyweight Champion in a good title bout (***). Spec came out on fire tonight, but it was Godsend....taking the low road and choosing to brawl with Spec...who emerged the victor, using whatever means necessary. The match spilled outside of the ring for a good bit of it, as there is certainly no love lost between these 2 bitter rivals! Spec wore a crimson mask in the end, as Godsend busted him wide open towards the end of this contest. The faithful were none too pleased at witnessing Godsend hoist the gold yet again, defeating their beloved Perfect Specimen!
Up first for our newly minted champion is a title defense next month from Boston, MA with another great rival of Godsend's, namely Bloodline!

JULY: Godsend COR Bloodline after Demon Godsend interfered while Bloodline had been shoved out of the ring, knocking Bloodline cold with a chair while Godsend distracted our esteemed referee (**). Godsend will always try and hold on to the World Belt by whatever means necessary, and tonight was no exception. Just a despicable act of sportsmanship, as Godsend sticks it to the Omega family once again. Boo! Boo!
On the undercard, in a rematch for the Interplanetary Title in their hotly contested feud, Wolf DQ The Draconian Sheik as the match deteriorated into a Pier 6 brawl (**3/4). While far from a classic, the heat was palpable in this one GWF fans, as the two combatants and rivals tore into each other with a fury seldom seen in the squared circle. Wolf wore the crimson mask in this one, bleeding profusely after the Sheik busted him open with some sort of foreign object. This feud may be heading for the Cage GWF fans...stay tuned!
Our champion travels to Toronto next month for a scheduled defense against the great Max Shield.
Godsend: 1 Title Defense.

AUGUST: Godsend b. Max Shield with his dreaded Kingdom Come finisher, putting away the legendary Shield with relative ease (**1/2). Godsend continues to make a case as the greatest wrestler in GWF history, and tonight certainly buoyed his argument as he really was never threatened by another all-time great in Shield. Godsend has been known to go on long title reigns....will this be one of those times??
If Lord Nexus, Jr. has anything to say about it, it won't be a long reign! It'll be Godsend vs. Lord Nexus, Jr. for the World Title next month, live from Montreal.
Godsend: 2 Title Defenses.

SEPTEMBER: Godsend b. Lord Nexus, Jr. with the Immaculate Enzuigiri in a good little match, retaining the GWF World Heavyweight Championship (***1/4). Very even match until the end, when our champion took firm control, and put the challenger away with a series of moves. This is a good rivalry, between these 2, and for now, Godsend holds the upper hand!
Up next for our champion next month is a rematch with Bloodline...can Bloodline settle the score from July?? We'll see you all live, and in living color, from Madison Square Garden in NY!
Godsend: 3 Title Defenses.

OCTOBER: Godsend b. Bloodline with the Kingdom Come finisher to retain the GWF World Heavyweight Title (****). Very good match, intense, and well-fought. The two came out of the gates hot, and Bloodline had his chances, almost scoring a pin himself several times. Godsend, ever the resourceful one, managed to hold on and secure victory in the end, frustrating Bloodline to no end (and the Omega family for that matter, as Godsend is a consistent thorn in their side).
On the undercard, Scion Nexus and Nitro b. the team of Psi & Tharkas to retain the GWF World Tag-Team Championship (**1/2). Quite the run for Nexus and Nitro, who are proving to be a team for the ages! And, in a battle of behemoths, Aethran Overmaster b. Monolith with the Return of the Overmaster (**1/4).
Our champion Godsend will next head to Boston, MA in November for a scheduled defense against Omega family member Alpha Force!
Scion Nexus & Nitro: 7 Title Defenses. Godsend: 4 Title Defenses.
