Since I’ve heard this show mentioned a couple times lately I felt like I needed to sit back down and watch it on my computer while playing out some cards. I remember sitting down and watching this with my grandparents and getting a large pizza from Davis’ Pizza in Pavilion.
31 years later watching it again at 6:05 ... with a pizza from the same place though my grandpa isn’t here anymore, when Dusty comes out might get a little nostalgic lol.

I miss Clash of the Champions. Like a PPV on cable TV. I was always more of a WWF fan when I was a kid, but I would get really excited when I heard there was going to be a Clash on TBS. The one I remember most from my childhood was the Clash in '92 with Luger and Rick Steiner. I don't think I got to see it but the buildup for it in prior weeks had me really excited. A match that would be humdrum during the MNW just seemed so PPV epic in 1992. They really knew how to promote things back then.

I’ve always liked the NwA and WCW but same bad seeds up top killed them.

Clash worked when PPV was smaller but once it expanded, there was little reason for it sadly.
I have a copy of clash to watch, just need to spend some time to do it.

Raw and Nitro hurt Clash even more. Seeing some top matches on a regular weekly show made it less special when Clash came around.

Clash 1 was the event that elevated Sting from promising young midcard talent to established main event star. Even the badly bungled judges angle couldn't detract from another classic Flair masterpiece. And the match between the Fabs and the MX was short, but oh so sweet. I miss that kind of wrestling on my TV screen. So glad to still have it on my tabletop thanks to Filsinger Games.

Should have said the Fantastics, not the Fabs.
