There's more to the story there, JC! It's just starting to get rollin' here: W.A.R. And Aethran Federation CARD 5: Somewhere near Maxus space... The Aethran Taskmaster stood center stage with his arms crossed. He had this to say:
"Well, well, well. Look at everyone here waiting for my big announcement. Suffice to say that I will announce who the new Aethran Commissioner is tonight, since long, drawn-out things aren't 'my cup of tea'.
With that said, I think I will make all of you wait for a bit, at least. Come see me at the END of this fight card. I may have something for you then. You do know I love to make you sweat on stuff like this, so you should have seen it coming, hahahahaaaaw!"
And with that laugh resonating through the arena, we begin!Match #1: Roundheel VS Revile In an unrelenting assault, Revile got himself DQed in this one. Roundheel won when Revile was disqualified in a time of just 1:48, plus Roundheel was injured for six fight cards as a result! -- Attempted pins/submissions: Roundheel=0, Revile=3. Rolled for DQ: Roundheel=0, Revile=3 Match #2: Code Green VS Curtis Freeman This was over quickly as Code Green got an easy win here. Code Green won with a Running Lariat in a time of just 0:13. -- Attempted pins/submissions: Green=1, Freeman=0. Rolled for DQ: Green=0, Freeman=0 Match #3: Zoomie VS Slaughterer Although Slaughterer dominated the match, Zoomie pounced at the right time and took home the win! Zoomie won with a Brain Clawhold in a time of 8:34. -- Attempted pins/submissions: Zoomie=1, Slaughterer=2. Rolled for DQ: Zoomie=0, Slaughterer=0 Match #4: Charlie Foxtrot VS Samuel Snyder Snyder did not stand a chance in this match, as Foxtrot got the victory here. Rolled for DQ: Foxtrot=0, Snyder=1 Match #5: Covert VS Smolder An even match-up here until Covert pulled a move out of nowhere to win this! Covert won with a Cross Body Block in a time of 9:51. -- Attempted pins/submissions: Covert=2, Smolder=2. Rolled for DQ: Covert=0, Smolder=0 Match #6: Xeric VS Pandemic Plenty of action and reverses, but little in the way of pin attempts and submissions as this goes the distance. This match was declared a draw when it went to the 30-minute time limit. -- Attempted pins/submissions: Xeric=2, Pandemic=1. Rolled for DQ: Xeric=0, Pandemic=2 Match #7: Inspector Sands VS Heathen An even match until Sands was able to get the victory in this one. Inspector Sands won with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex in a time of 26:04. -- Attempted pins/submissions: Sands=3, Heathen=3. Rolled for DQ: Sands=1, Heathen=1 Match #8: WAAF Tag Team Champions Klickz & Spark Chaser (W.A.R. Uprising) VS Breakdown & Devastator (Ruination) – Non-Title Bout Not much of a match here, as Klickz got counted-out quickly. Rolled for DQ: Uprising=1, Ruination=0 Match #9: Ferox VS Devium Ferox could not withstand the onslaught of Devium's offense, thus Devium took home the win this time. Devium won with his Finisher-DEVIATION in a time of 5:50. -- Attempted pins/submissions: Ferox=1, Devium=3. Rolled for DQ: Ferox=1, Devium=2 Match #10: WAAF Universal Champion Bloodmonger VS Plague - Non-Title Bout With one well-timed move, Plague was able to nab a victory here! Plague won with his Finisher-THE BLACK PLAGUE in a time of 4:18, thus Plague receives a Title Bout on the next fight card! -- Attempted pins/submissions: Bloodmonger=2, Plague=1. Rolled for DQ: Bloodmonger=0, Plague=0 Match #11: Deluge & Deploy VS Fracture & Manhandle – AETHRAN ULTIMATE ESCAPE 1st Fall: Fracture escaped after using a Splintering Suplex in a time of 16:23. 2nd Fall: Deploy escaped after using a W.A.R. Gun in a time of 11:12. Final Fall: Deluge escaped after using a Deluge D.D.T. in a time of 3:40, thus Deluge & Deploy won the match! -- Attempted pins/submissions: Deluge/Deploy=6, Fracture/Manhandle=5. Rolled for DQ: There are no DQs in a Grudge match! And as the last combatants cleared the ring and the cage was lifted, the Aethran Taskmaster approached the ring with a hooded accomplice.
"Here is the new Aethran Commissioner, you whelps! It's none other than...
MASSACRE!! "Yeah, baby! Didn't see THAT coming, did you? Hahahahaaaw! Soak in the Aethran history, destiny, and dominance that Massacre represents! A new day has dawned, and the Aethran Might is ready to take over yet again!" Turning to Massacre, he instructed, "Okay, the first order of business is to re-instate Nemesis as Gladiator Champion. He deserves a rest after that Round Robin Tournament, and..."
Massacre looked uneasy, and whispered something into the Taskmaster's ear.
"WHAAAAT??! Ummmm... this night's wrestling is OVER!" the Taskmaster commanded and left with Massacre in tow. Something's amiss, but what could it be?ON THE NEXT GREAT W.A.A.F FIGHT CARD: More great matches after the hiatus (Enjoy GCon and posting next week, everybody)! Sweet fed name here...I was browsing bootleg feds and this made me stop and smile. I was so surprised they shut down AAF...though I havent listened in many years it holds a special place in my early COTG gaming years. They started to stray too much from what I was into, but mid 90s was good times on that station.

With the arrival of the New Generation Gladiators, it's time to re-start this AWESOME fed... W.A.R. And Aethran Federation CARD 6: Somewhere near Maxus space... Manhandle was in the ring. He began with, "The Gladiators are the toughest team in the galaxy! The Aethran Ultimate Escape match is our bread and butter! You puny weaklings have--"
That is all he could say before a voice boomed over the PA system...
"Oh, why don't you just SHUT UP already?"
It was the Aethran Taskmaster. He did not look too pleased when he was shown on the giant viewscreen.
"'The Gladiators are great, yadda yadda yadda...' Yeah, we all know. In fact, I INVENTED the speech you are hacking your way through. Now, as your leader, I'm telling you to shut your trap! I've got an important announcement:
"The days of Aethrans being taken for granted is OVER! There is a new leader in the Aethran wrestling camp that is taking over very shortly! I give you the New Generation of Gladiator wrestlers!
Behold: Boulderdash... Icarus... Klaxon... and Zanzibar! These Gladiators will be arriving in no time, and EVERYBODY better be paying attention! The glory days of Aethran domination are here again... at last! You weaker Gladiators better stay in line, or I will have you replaced and forgotten about with a snap of my fingers!!"
The crowd was stunned into silence! But one of them was not stunned. And his name was Mandhandle.
"You're NOT getting away with this! I refuse to let that-that 'group' take over the Aethran camp! We shall see who will and who won't be getting replaced on the Gladiators!" Rolled for DQ: Fracture/Manhandle=2, Hack/Slash=0 MATCH #7: Charlie Foxtrot VS Seige Seige had a lot of fight in him, but still it was not enough to get the win here. Rolled for DQ: Foxtrot=2, Seige=1 MATCH #8: WAAF Gladiator Champion Pandemic VS Nemesis - TITLE BOUT Even though Nemesis was determined to get his Belt back, Pandemic fought an excellent match and won this one. Rolled for DQ: There are no DQs in Cage matches! MATCH #9: Deluge & Deploy VS Breakdown & Devastator An easy outing here for the WAR team, as Deploy got the win for his team in this match. Strike Eagle won with a WAR Gun in a time of 14:33, thus Strike Eagle retained the WAAF Heavyweight Belt!! -- Attempted pins/submissions: Eagle=2, Revile=2. Rolled for DQ: Eagle=0, Revile=2 As the last match concluded, a new theme song filled the arena: The New Generation Gladiators have arrived!!
Down to the ring walked Icarus, Klaxon, Zanzibar, and were led by Boulderdash! "Take a look at the FUTURE of wrestling," Boulderdash stated. "I'm not going to come out here and just do the usual bragging, I'm going to raise the stakes:
"Now listen! It's time to clear out the 'riff-raff' on the Gladiators! I propose an era of 'WarGames' like the universe hasn't witnessed in forever! The lowest-scoring Gladiators will be booted off the team FOREVER, and only the strong shall survive! Of course, MY team is immune --"
The Aethran Taskmaster (on the giant viewscreen) interrupted, "We didn't agree to any of this. Now see here--"
But that's all he could say before the ring filled with every Aethran wrestler in the federation, and an Peir Six brawl began to roar as the cameras faded...ON THE NEXT GREAT W.A.A.F FIGHT CARD: The new WARGAMES are here! Who will join, who will refuse, who will dominate? And what does Mace have to say? Does he have an "ace" up his sleeve? These questions will be answered in the near future!! In a conference room, somewhere near Maxus space...
The Aethran Taskmaster (donning a new look) sat across the massive table from Mace. Both had a look of confidence and superiority on their faces. Mace began with, "Alright, it's time to interject some new talent onto the rosters. I hope you agree?" The Aethran Taskmaster nodded and said, "We've got some new names that will pop up. Here's what the roster looks like from this end." He slid a sheet of paper over to Mace, which Mace needed to reach and stretch out to get. On the sheet, other than the addition of the New Gen Gladiators, only four names had changed: One, Nemesis was no longer on the roster; two, a new wrestler by the name of Agony was the name in Nemesis' spot; three, rookie Icarus was not a part of the New Gen Gladiators and in his place was a wrestler called Dragoth. And finally, Smolder was no longer listed as active. Mace was familiar with the new names, but questioned, "I'm know of all the new names listed, but why is Icarus not on this list?" "This will be WarGames," the Taskmaster replied. "Icarus is still very much a rookie and hasn't even been through his first Cleansing. And as such, certainly would be a weak link. I've replaced him with Dragoth." Mace thought it over. "Okay then. Since my new guys need a partner or two, I've already been contacted by Nemesis and he wishes to join the new 'WarGame Aces' team that already has the guys I announce last time, remember? Marauder and Vindicator are on that team. Nemesis will join them... WITH your approval, of course." The Taskmaster nodded and replied, "We have no use for Nemesis. He's nothing but a loser. Do whatever you want with him." "And what about scoring for WarGames?" Mace asked. "Let's drop the bonus points for Champions, since it seems a bit unfair." The Taskmaster thought a moment. It would be an advantage to keep the points system that favored champions, but he did not see it as something of a problem. "Agreed. How about every tenth fight card, the lowest point-scorer from each super-group is fired for at least a year. They can always be brought back at another time." "And it will be our choice as to who gets fired if there is a tie for the lowest scorer?" Mace questioned, and nodded his approval as did the Taskmaster. Mace then slid over his rosters on a sheet of paper to the Taskmaster. "Here are the rosters for my side. We've added Nemesis, as we have already discussed. Also, I'm sure you are familiar with the wrestler that goes by the name 'Cetus Son'? He's going to wrestle by his real name. That being Nanaki Oxbow, if you aren't aware already. And Covert is no longer in this federation as he needs to tend to a sick family member for now." The Taskmaster read the list over. "There's a spot missing on your WarGame Aces. Who will fill that spot?" It was at this point that Mace slowly smiled a wicked smile, knowing of the ACE he had up his sleeve. "Oh... I think I will wait till the next fight card to show you. As they used to say on Earth a long time ago, 'It'll knock your socks off'!" ON THE NEXT GREAT W.A.A.F FIGHT CARD: Twelve great matches including - A great Cosmic Cage match featuring the debut of Dragoth; WAAF Universal Champion Bloodmonger fights against the Number One Contender Xeric in a Non-Title bout; and WAAF Gladiator Champion Pandemic (sporting a new look) defends the Belt against Devium in a Title Bout!!
