Varsity & ...

Since this worked really well with the MARTY JANNETTY topic, figured I’d post and see if anyone had some good ideas ...

So I needed Sabre more for the early women’s division and didn’t put her with Varsity.  That being said who would be someone good to pair him with?  One thought I had was Varsity & Wildcat and call them the Athletic Club where Wildcats name comes from the college he attended (like Villanova for ex).  Not sure I like that but wanted to see if anyone else did something fun with him.

I paired Varsity and Sabre with Hegemony from the first Promoter Madness set. The trio wanted to extol the virtues of traditional wrestling and provide a history listen for the ignorant and bloodthirsty fans who cared more for senseless hardcore violence than the beautiful art of scientific wrestling. Varsity won the GWFZ title while Hegemony would irate fans with his lectures and Sabre acted as tag partner for Varsity and bodyguard.

I don't know what era you're using him, but Varsity and Adam Blast/US Patriot would make a fine pairing. Or susbtitute US Male.

Yeah I should have thrown more info there ... Sabre I put in the women’s division which ended up terrible for her. Varsity is just kind of out there right now for me and debating when to throw him in. Contemplated possibly teaming with Brainstorm down the line but not sure. I like to utilize all the cards I have but he’s the only person I kind of have in a free agent column lol
