Mixed Fed Fun

So my Centra fed is set in the future of my Legends & Champions era's, a dystopian future where the MONSTERS ERA takes place.  It is a mix of ACE & CZW as there are no disqualifications EXCEPT in the case of outside interference.  I have a few of the CENTRA guys from the original champions fed (Murdok, Rankor & Ventross), some CZW guys (Masada & Joker), some Legends (Vampiro) and some guys I didn't think would fit in my current champions fed (Janus, Colossus & Raven).

I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised how this federation has kicked off.  I was never a fan of Sami Callihan but he has become 'the slayer of Nightmares' and has feuded with the more monster elements of the fed in fun hardcore matches.  Vampiro and Raven seem to be feuding in a very well matched war and Janus seems to be this Sgt Slaughter order and Bret Hart excellence of execution first champion that i can kind of build around which is really nice too as I always liked Janus.

I notice a couple other people run mixed federations, are you having fun with them as well?  Any issues you've noticed?

Just for fun, I thought about adding Okada from Japan into the Centra Cup Tournament to see how he'd fair. Never pulled the trigger, but it's not out of the question either! 😉

So I'm doing a new Kronos fed and I decided what the heck, I'll use my Randy Savage color card (the one from Madness) just to see how he'll do.

I have no issues other than maybe a guy here or there just did not feel as fun playing as I thought they were and so I let them go from my fed. I enjoy doing it as sometimes there are guys from LOW and the such who I want to play but since I am focused on COTG right now it would be a long time till I did. I just like focusing on one or the other. So bringing them into the future lets me enjoy the card and still do COTG. End of the day all I am concerned with is having fun playing the game. So I do what is going to maximize that.

In my very first LOW fed, which is a fed the preceded my Major League Wrestling fed of which my current LOW fed the VWF is a spinoff (but acknowledges the history of my previous MLW fed,) I did mix LOW and COTG cards because there were not that many LOW cards and I had some COTG cards that I thought would work well in an LOW fed. I remember I had the Gladiators feuding with the Road Warriors and Cannibal was used too. I did not post results for that early LOW fed and I also do not have any written records of it to confirm, but I seem to remember using Pegasus and some other cards too.

I've definitely mixed some of the Chikara characters in with the GWF in the past, and may do so again... they're a really good fit. I don't really have any desire to mix less colorful real wrestlers in, though, doesn't feel like it would fit.
