Thantos's tactic won't help here Star Warrior might jus nab the belt. Still expect the Gladiators to win it. for me they always did well in tournaments, unless they get DQ'd. Cosmic Forces are hit or miss. Actagon & At-Las could do well, but their lack of team time might hurt them

Cosmic Forces are hit or miss. Actagon & At-Las could do well, but their lack of team time might hurt them The Gladiators should probably be considered the favorites to win the cup... But, I'm just realizing the bottom half of the tournament looks to be a fair bit tougher than the top... Could benefit the Cosmic Forces, for sure. Always appreciate your involvement, my friend... Many thanks for staying tuned!

The Citadel presents the MILKY WAY CUP Matrix Theater 2087-08-20
Commentary: Omega and Mighty Grogan
Tournament Opening Round Antimatter & Matter (w/ Doomsayer) defeated Pit Viper & Pulsar via pinfall. - Antimatter pinned Viper with a NEGATIVE CHARGE. - Tokens: Antimatter 1, Matter 1 - Viper 4, Pulsar 1 - Doomsayer provided a valuable distraction to prevent his team from being disqualified while blatantly double teaming Viper into their own corner. Matter used the tag rope to choke out the masked Titan, leading to a questionable win for the Cosmic Forces in their debut.
Tournament Opening Round Killer Queen & Vanity defeated Beast-Rider & Renegade via submission. - Queen finished Beast-Rider with a CHECKMATE. - Tokens: Renegade 1 - The advantage changed hands several times during this ferocious exchange. Beast-Rider missed a high risk move and Vanity tripped Renegade before he could help his fallen partner. - After the bell, Renegade grabbed a steel chair and chased Vanity. Just before he reached his target, a monstrous creature lumbered into his path. Taking refuge behind the beast, Vanity taunted Renegade and dared him to take a swing. Beast-Rider pleaded with Renegade not to harm the animal, granting Vanity enough time for a clean getaway.
Tournament Opening Round Actagon & Lance At-Las defeated Comrade Terror & Executioner via pinfall. - Actagon pinned Executioner with a roll through following a missed high risk move. - Tokens: Actagon 3, At-Las 2 - Terror 2, Executioner 1 - Taking advantage of a few communication problems between their opponents, Terror & Executioner appeared to be firmly in control. Executioner came off the top rope for a crossbody block, but Actagon allowed his momentum to carry into a flawless pinning combination. - Terror was furious with the outcome and complained to Thantos about having an inferior partner. When Thantos asked his henchman to be more specific, Terror shrugged and said he would deal with the issue.
Tournament Opening Round Brute & Massacre defeated Commander Sam & Massif via pinfall. - Massacre pinned Sam with a running clothesline. - Tokens: Brute 1 - Massif failed to get into the fight as the Gladiators effectively cut the ring in half, preventing Sam from reaching his own corner. Sam fought back and nearly made tag, but Massacre blindsided him and hooked the tights for a tainted victory.
Backstage: Beast-Rider - While searching the backstage area for Vanity and his stolen animal companion, Beast-Rider fell victim to a sneak attack. Vanity ordered The Creeper to assault its former owner. Fearing harsh discipline if the command was not obeyed, The Creeper mauled Beast-Rider until Vanity was satisfied. Moments later, Renegade found Beast-Rider crumpled on the floor and carried him to the infirmary for medical attention.
Tournament Semifinal Killer Queen & Vanity (w/ The Creeper) defeated Antimatter & Matter (w/ Doomsayer) via pinfall. - Queen pinned Antimatter with a flying knee drop. - Tokens: Queen 2, Vanity 1 - The situation nearly spiraled out of control when The Creeper strayed too close to Doomsayer at ringside. Feeling threatened, Doomsayer summoned his team to help. While Matter rushed to his manager's side, Vanity caught Antimatter with a cheap shot that allowed Queen to steal the win.
Tournament Semifinal Brute & Massacre defeated Actagon & Lance At-Las via pinfall. - Brute pinned At-Las with an atomic skullcrusher. - Tokens: Actagon 2, At-Las 2 - Actagon & At-Las showed great resilience in this grueling encounter, but the merciless expertise of the Gladiators was too much for the new partners to overcome.
News from the Commissioner's Office: - Mr. Philip Singer announced that GWF Born 4 Battle II will take place on 10-12 and will feature a round robin series for a shot at the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship.
Best of 3 Falls Galaxian Heavyweight Championship Match Thantos defeated Star Warrior via two falls to none. - 1st fall: Thantos gained submission over Warrior with a MASTERLOCK. - 2nd fall: Warrior was disqualified during a wild brawl outside the ring. - Tokens: Warrior 4 - Thantos became knowingly cocky after taking the first fall and made a gesture towards the backstage area. Bishop Hell approached the commentary desk and when confronted by Omega, he lashed out with HELLFIRE! Jumping to defend his father, Star Warrior used a steel chair to clean house. Thantos managed to escape serious harm following this successful version five title defense. - As Omega received medical attention for a minor burn, Star Warrior challenged Bishop to a match as soon as possible. It was then announced that Star Warrior would receive a rematch against Thantos at GWF Born 4 Battle II if he defeats Bishop in singles competition on an upcoming episode of GWF LiveWire. Thantos retained the Galaxian Heavyweight Championship.
Interview: Magnus Colby - This was an impromptu appearance by the owner and president of The Citadel, a company that based its operations on Earth and was responsible for sponsoring this special event. Magnus Colby said it was his pleasure to be involved with the promotion in whatever capacity that was possible. In fact, he hoped to play a much bigger role in the future of the Galaxian Wrestling Federation.
Tournament Final Killer Queen & Vanity (w/ The Creeper) defeated Brute & Massacre via pinfall. - Vanity pinned Brute with a PULVERIZER. - Tokens: Queen 1 - Brute 2 - A brilliant blind tag by Queen allowed the Punks to quickly turn the tide in what initially looked like it was going to be an easy win for the Gladiators. The pair cut down Brute with a double chop block to the knees, leading to an unbelievable upset. - Before exiting the ring, Massacre warned the Punks they might want to forfeit their upcoming shot at the Galaxian Tag Team Championship. Glaring at the unlikely winners, Brute shook his head and said he could not wait to face them on the next episode of LiveWire. Killer Queen & Vanity won the Milky Way Cup.
Closing remarks: - Omega expressed gratitude for the swift medical treatment that enabled him to finish the show on commentary. As much as Star Warrior wanted to make Bishop Hell answer for the cowardly assault, Omega hoped that his son maintained focus on things that are truly important without becoming overwhelmed by a need for revenge. Grogan offered his thanks to Omega for joining him for the show and closed by stating that Killer Queen & Vanity will receive a shot against Brute & Massacre for the Galaxian Tag Team Championship on the next episode of GWF LiveWire!
