Galaxian Wrestling Federation Coming from a LOOSE CANON Universe! So here's the story... I was going through some of my old threads when I came across this one... GWF - The Code Is Broken... I instantly wished that I had continued with this fed and for the life of me, I'm not really sure why I stopped... That being said, I have decided to return to where it all began - 2087! I'm only going to use cards as they were originally released (mainly because I don't own most of the reimagined sets online and I don't want to get into a position where I'm waiting for new sets to to drop)... I'm going to run this fed similar to a 'real' promotion - There will be 'faces' and 'heels' but not necessarily 'heroes' or 'villains'... The wrestlers will play their roles, but that does not mean they are 'good' or 'evil' at their core... And the alliances and/or rivalries that develop between them will simply be angles being developed by the bookers behind the scenes... The fate of the universe does not hang in the balance here - It's just gonna be wrestling! Now for some quick remarks about this fed before I get started: 1. All shows will take place inside the Matrix Theater, a space station that revolves around Earth. Due to highly developed modes of interstellar travel, all races from throughout the universe are usually well represented in the audience. 2. For scheduling purposes, I'm going to use a standard calendar - 7 days per week, 12 months per year of 365 days (366 during leap years). 2. The current commissioner is Mr Philip Singer. Although I don't anticipate having this 'authority figure' playing an active role in storylines, I wanted to give him a name for when he does need to get involved. 3. Commentary is handled by two well known wrestlers from the Classics era, KO Keller and Mighty Grogan. 4. The opening day roster will consist of the 24 wrestlers included in the original 2087 set. All bets are off going forward - some characters might debut years before their time while other characters may never appear at all. And since I'm REALLY EXCITED to get things rolling, here's the lineup for the first show! GWF INCEPTION2087-01-01 MAIN EVENT Omega vs. Thantos Star Warrior vs. Wolf Actagon & Proteus vs. Brute & Massacre Commander Sam vs. Comrade Terror Lord Nexus vs. Invincible Krakan Beast-Rider, Renegade & Vanity vs. Exo-King, Killer Queen & Death Knight Massif vs. Executioner Pit Viper & Pulsar vs. Ghengis Khan & Mutant

Massif defeated Executioner via pinfall. - Massif pinned Executioner with a VOLCANIC DROP. - Tokens: n/a - This was a completely one sided match as Massif quickly overpowered his opponent. - Executioner suffered an injury and will be out of action for 2 months.
Beast-Rider, Renegade & Vanity defeated Death Knight, Exo-King & Killer Queen via pinfall. - Vanity pinned Exo-King with a Cropper Slam. - Tokens: n/a - Gripping a handful of tights for additional leverage, Vanity stole a tainted victory for his team. - After the match, Beast-Rider confronted Vanity about his illegal tactics. Vanity sneered and told Beast-Rider to grow up or get lost.
Lord Nexus defeated Invincible Krakan via disqualification. - Krakan was disqualified due to outside interference. - Tokens: Nexus 1 - Krakan 3 - Ghengis Khan and Mutant interrupted the match, saving Krakan from a near fall. Pit Viper and Pulsar rushed the ring, leading to a wild brawl between the two factions.
Comrade Terror defeated Commander Sam via pinfall. - Terror pinned Sam with an ATOMIC WARHEAD. - Tokens: Sam 3 - There was plenty of back and forth action in this heated battle, but Sam had difficulty maintaining his momentum.
Actagon & Proteus defeated Brute & Massacre via submission. - Actagon finished Massacre with a GRECIAN SLEEPER GRIP. - Tokens: Actagon 4 - Brute 1, Massacre 4 - Both teams pulled out all the stops in this marathon encounter. - In the backstage area, the Gladiators encountered Wolf as he was heading to the ring for his upcoming match. Massacre questioned Wolf about his lack of involvement in their losing effort against the Greeks. Wolf snarled and reminded Massacre that he's not a slave.
Wolf defeated Star Warrior via pinfall. - Wolf pinned Star Warrior with a SAVAGE FACE CLAW. - Tokens: Wolf 1 - Warrior 2 - Star Warrior made the mistake of trying to remain civil while Wolf unleashed his full ferocity in this crowd pleasing match.
Thantos defeated Omega via submission. - Thantos finished Omega with a MASTERLOCK. - Tokens: Omega 2 - It became painfully obvious that Omega was no longer the in-ring force that he was in the past as Thantos emerged triumphant with little difficulty. - Omega suffered an injury and will be out of action for 3 weeks. - The Gamemaster closed out the show by challenging to the son of the Living Legend to a face him inside the ring. Star Warrior appeared at ringside, but was attacked by Wolf before he could respond to the challenge. After security restored order, Commissioner Philip Singer announced the main event for the first episode of GWF LiveWire - Thantos would team with Wolf against Star Warrior and a partner of his choice!
Closing remarks: - Grogan thought this show was an excellent way to kickstart the new Galaxian Wrestling Federation and invited fans to join them for the premier episode of GWF LiveWire that will take place in less than two weeks. Keller promised some exciting news from the commissioner on the upcoming show.

Great first show!
So, much so... I would like for your company to run my ads for my line of energy drinks Red Titan. Maybe have a commercial with one of your wrestlers Wolf drinking a can.

Totally appreciate the constant enthusiasm, brotha! No matter how long I'm gone or what kinda madness I decide to produce, I always know there are a number of friends and fellow promoters that I can count on to join the journey... It's always fun delving into the classics and that last show was no exception... I never have any idea where inspiration will take me... Just gonna have to wait and see!

Solid picks, my friend... Thantos & Wolf might have some difficulty working together, so it should be interesting to see how they fare against two close allies like Star Warrior & Massif... Many thanks for staying tuned!

Alright I am here for the ride as well... inlove this era of the GWF and love it when ppl go back and make the fed their own. Great results so far! I saw that the Spacecroppers are tagging with Vanity...may I say...NOICE! Keep 'em coming! Although I don't expect their current alliances to last very long, I decided to kick things off with Vanity still teaming up with Beast-Rider & Renegade while Wolf remains a (reluctant?) member of the Gladiators... My goal is to build a rich history from scratch, but building it my way... The official handbooks will serve as a guide - especially during the formative early years... But, just like my Code is Broken fed from a few years ago, this fed will be very loosely based on canon... Hence my thread heading - A Loose Canon promotion... Pretty clever, huh? Always appreciate you taking some time to check in, my friend... Many thanks!
