GWF LiveWire (episode #1)
Matrix Theater
2087-01-11
Commentary: KO Keller and Mighty Grogan
Interview: Commander Sam
- Sam was adamant that his best days were certainly not behind him and promised that his fight with Comrade Terror was not over. Terror interrupted the interview, challenging Sam to a rematch on next week's episode of GWF LiveWire. Sam accepted without hesitation.
Renegade (w/ Vanity) defeated Death Knight (w/ Killer Queen) via disqualification.
- Knight was disqualified due to outside interference.
- Tokens: Renegade 2
- Renegade locked in a SPINECRACKER, but Queen nailed him with a blatant chairshot before Knight tapped out. Vanity was more concerned with his own welfare and Beast-Rider had to rush the ring to save Renegade from a post-match double team beatdown.
Proteus defeated Brute via disqualification.
- Brute was disqualified during a brawl outside the ring.
- Tokens: n/a
- Just moments after the opening bell, the fight spilled out to the floor. When Proteus tried to comply with the referee's demands to return to the ring, Brute grabbed the metal ring stairs and smashed him in the face.
News from the Commissioner's Office:
- Mr. Philip Singer announced that crowning the inaugural GWF Heavyweight and GWF Tag Team Champions was his number one priority. However, he did not want to rush any decisions in order to ensure the most deserving competitors received these prestigious opportunities. For the timebeing, he was going to observe the performances of each individual inside the ring.
Thantos & Wolf defeated Massif & Star Warrior via pinfall.
- Wolf pinned Star Warrior with a SAVAGE FACE CLAW.
- Tokens: Wolf 5 - Massif 3, Warrior 2
- Despite allowing Wolf to handle most of the work, a clever assist by Thantos turned the tide in this grueling match. Thantos provoked Massif into entering the ring without a legal tag and when the referee's back was turned, he stunned Star Warrior with a low blow. A quick recovery by Wolf allowed him to secure a controversial win.
Closing remarks:
- Keller pointed out that Wolf had now pinned Star Warrior in two consecutive encounters. Grogan agreed this looked impressive on paper, but due to questionable circumstances surrounding the main event finish, he expected things were far from resolved between the Andromedan savage and the second generation Cetus superstar. Before signing off, Keller reminded the audience that next week's LiveWire main event would be a rematch from GWF Inception - Commander Sam vs. Comrade Terror!
