I struggled for YEARS to keep a LOW fed running, but last year I finally came up with a way to use these cards and been having a blast! I simply run 4 territories with 6 or so wrestlers in each and rotate them out when injuries or poor showings occur. That and having the slightest touch of Sci fi to the mix helped me solve this problem ever since LOW came out

With some boots here and there, I'm running a NWA (mid Atlantic), AWA, WCCW, WWWF and Mid-South. Stock each with 20 or so and away I went. I love my CotG feds and look at all of this as "recovered" history. I have plans to establish a line of title history back to the late 1800's with some official and boot cards. Go by decade and create that "official" history of the title. Also, I've found a great YouTube channel that stocks up a lot of good old content that drives my desire to run LoW territories. That and reading three different wrestling histories at current helps. And if more specific ideas are needed.. Heard someone explain (can not remember who) how they ran their LoW fed at G-Con as such... They do it as an English Premiership style. Top two or three move up, bottom two or three move down each set year. I know eventually, I plan something like this.. as Vince will not take over my wrestling world and monopolize my territories with "PG" wrestling. It is slow moving but five (sixth coming) LoW and two CotG feds. Constantly thinking creatively on storylines and feuds and history "futures."

I can't really contribute any ideas as to make running a fed easier or better but I do have some thoughts to share. I always kind of do what I want with my feds, anyway, so I don't know why anyone might feel a need to only stick to a story or feuds that may or may not have actually happened. in history. As for deciding on matches or booking the cards? I just pick two cards that I want to play with. When it comes to the 'bare bones' approach I have to be honest here... as much as I'm interested in seeing everyone's results... feds that only report "X beat Y" with no detail don't really hold my interest for very long. Feds that have done in a style that is reminiscent of a shoot fighting promotion also don't usually end up on my "Must Read" list because for me the storylines, feuds, and promos are what makes pro wrestling the art form that I love. If it was just about two guys fighting and who beats who I'd just go play some kind of fighting game on my PC or console or whatever. We're not all going to be able to write epics like Bri or maintain massive historical chronicles like cruefan68, though so I can appreciate the work being done by, well, anyone these days. Especially considering that I haven't posted results yet in this year.

Hey Thomas (TK)! I say just run the fed that you would like to play. One that keeps you're interest. I usually just do what the voices tell me - and just take it from there lol. I know what you mean about writing for COTG vs say LOW or Indy. Stories seem to come easier with COTG. Maybe combine the brands some. How about you're own version of 16 or 32 of Filsingers Greatest (some from all brands)? Or - The LOW Color Starter Set? Hey ajcostello! When you start posting again, pls pm me to let me know, (if I haven't already spotted it). Don't want to miss it! You got this Thomas (TK). Just go where the fun is!

I'm going to be starting a fed/league based on the NFL schedule. I'm going to assign a wrestler with a team more then likely based on their hometown (i.e. Rich Swann is from Baltimore he'll get the Ravens schedule) Should be fun.

I'm playing with an interesting idea. I'm going to start a new fed with 7 territories. The match results will be bare bones, but there'll interviews and feuds to spice things up. However, the territories won't be geographical areas. They'll be dedicated to the greats of the past. For example, the top title won't be the World Heavyweight title. It'll be the "Lou Thesz Memorial World Title." Tag Titles will be named after the top families in wrestling history (the A'noai memorial tag title, for example.)
It will use the Smathis scheduling system to schedule matches and determine rankings and feud matchups will determine the rest. The only think I'm trying to decide now is what to call the overall fed and what each territory will be called.
I'm really excited by this.

I set my LOW fed in Texas because I can reasonably do all the weird wrasslin' shit I want/need. Family feuds? Check. Evil cults? Big check. Refs that pretend they'll DQ people but are really just for counting a pin? Check. I think setting is everything.

I’ve failed repeatedly at running a consistent LOW fed for years (although I’m always surprised by how much LOW fed related content I have posted when I look back at my history). I’m currently giving it another shot w my Monday Night Wars fed. When it works for me it works because I’m using the cards I have fun with regardless if they are color cards, b/w or boots. I mix them up and just roll matches I want to play out.
What always stops me in the past is trying to use too many cards, too many matches per show and too big of a roster in general. Without Tom officially exiling cards each year like the GWF that job is left up to me and it’s not easy.
The key to LOW I think is roster management. It’s too easy to sit at a table with 100 sweet LOW cards and a desire to use them all. You absolutely have to be strict and use self control when choosing your roster and sticking to it.
Good luck TK!
