Welcome to Honor the Legends.
Honor the Legends will have 7 divisions, each named after one of the greatest wrestlers our sport has ever known. These will be: Harley Race Memorial division, Verne Gagne Memorial division, Buddy Rogers Memorial division, Jack Brisco Memorial Division, Bruno Sammartin Memorial Division, Nick Bockwinkel Memorial Division and Dusty Rhodes Memorial division.
There will be 12 wrestlers and 8 teams in each division. They will wrestle according to the Smathis scheduling system (search for it on these forums, it’s pretty cool) and there will be one singles champion and one tag team champion of each division.
These champions will then seek shots at the Lou Thesz Memorial Heavyweight Championship or the Anderson Family Memorial Tag Team Championship.
The first Thesz champion will be decided by a 10 man, round robin tournament. The winner will be decided by a point system. A win is 2 pts, a draw is 1 pt and a dq loss is -1/2 pt.
This will be a results only fed as I think that honors these men better than me trying to come up with entertaining stories. Day 1 of the round robin tournament will be up soon.
