It's hard to explain by typing, but I'll try. I use a rating system similar to Rahl, but updated (this is going just on my Legends fed). My thought is a win versus Lou Thesz should mean more than a win versus Jim Duggan.
What I've done is calculate my ratings and this is just the first set for Legends
Animal
35 (57)
Bobby Heenan
14 (17)
Bobo Brazil
45 (46)
Bruiser Brody
51 (54)
Buddy Rogers 51 (52)
Curt Hennig 42 (46)
Gorgeous George 37 (40)
Harley Race 44 (47)
Hawk 41 (59)
Iron Sheik 40 (47)
Jim Duggan 32 (33)
Jimmy Snuka 52 (55)
Lou Albano 10 (18)
Lou Thesz 56 (58)
Nikolai Volkoff 31 (37)
Randy Savage 58 (61)
Rob Van Dam 49 (53)
Ted DiBiase 42 (45)
So I broke up the ratings into 5 sets.
If you get a win against a wrestler with a 50 or over rating, you get +5 (2.5 for wins on a CO/DQ)
From 40-49, you get +4 (2 for wins on a CO/DQ)
from 30-39, you get +3 (1.5 wins on a CO/DQ)
From 20-29, you get +2 (1 for wins on a CO/DQ)
Under 20, you get +1 (.5 for wins on a CO/DQ)
Vice versa, a loss against Bobby Heenan should weigh more than a loss against Bruiser Brody
Loss against a wrestler with a 50 or over rating, you get -1 (if you lose by DQ, it's -2)
Loss from 40-49, you get -2 (if you lose by DQ, it's -3)
Loss from 30-39, you get -3 (if you lose by DQ, it's -4)
Loss from 20-29, you get -4 (if you lose by dQ ,its -5)
Loss from a under 20, you get -5 (if you lose by DQ, its -6)
I hope that explains it and wasn't confusing, lol
This is really interesting. Would you be willing to share your formula?
I took a lot from Rahl, but I didn't agree with the high number for Level 1 Moves since that seems like the least action takes place there. I add more weight to Level 2 Offense since thats where most of the action takes place. Here is the chart. Its similar, but changes
Level 1 offense
+2 pts for each move - 3 (add+1 if move is an add 1)
+2 pts for each (ag), (pw) below 3 total
+2 pts for each move- 1 below 2 total
-2 pts for each (ag), (pw) if 3 or more
-2 pts for each move- 1 over 2 total
-1 pt if move -3 is followed by (ag), (pw)
Level 2 offense
+4 pts for each move - 3 (add+1 if move is an add 1)
-3 pts for each (ag), (pw)
-3 pts for each move- 1
Level 3 offense
+3 pt for each move - 3 (add+1 if move is an add 1)
+5 pt for each FINISHER (+x pts where x = FINISHER rating (if multiple use average rounded up)
-2 pts for each move -2
-2 pts if FINISHER can be missed or may cause DQ
Charts & DQ
+1 pt for each A rating
+1 pt for each point lower than DQ - 5
-1 pt for each C rating
-1 pt for each point higher than DQ - 5
Level 1 Defense
+1 pt for every 2 dazed - 1's
+1 pt for every reversal - 1
+2 pts for every reversal - 2
Level 2 Defense
+1 pt for each dazed - 1
+2 pts for each reversal - 1
+4 pts for each reversal - 2
-3 pts for each down - 3
Level 3 Defense
+2 pts for each dazed - 1
+3 pts for each reversal - 1
+6 pts for each reversal - 2
+2 pts for number of down - 3's lower than 2
+2 pts for each point lower than PIN 6(3)
-2 pts for number of down - 3's higher than 2
-2 pts for each point higher than PIN 6 (3)
(ag), (pw), & cage
+2 pts for each (ag) point lower than 0
+2 pts for each (pw) point lower than 0
+1 pt for each cage point lower than 4
-2 pts for each (ag) point higher than 0
-2 pts for each (pw) point higher than 0
-1 pt for each cage point higher than 4
Tag ratings
When adding up for singles do not add any offensive moves ending with (tag). Only add them when you're adding to see the wrestlers tag rating.(they add up the same as a regular move for point value.)
Additional tag modifiers
+1 pt for each (tag) on level 1 defense
+2 pts for each (tag) on level 2 defense
+3 pts for each (tag) on level 3 defense
