Each month, After Battle of the Elite, I roll on the roster management chart to see who comes and goes.
This month there are no incoming wrestlers and 5 leaving. Those departing are:
Veda Scott Athena The Rock n Roll Express Butch Reed
They may all return at some later date or you may never see them again. It just depends.

March 22, Year 1
Commissioner: Brad Armstrong
Commentary: Gordon Solie & Charlotte Flair
We open with commissioner Brad Armstrong standing in the ring, wearing a 3-piece suit and holding a microphone. “The wrestling business has been a step behind the rest of the world for as long as I've been a part of it. I'm planning to take steps to correct that starting right now. As of tonight, GECW will feature mixed tag team wrestling. Historically, the rule has always been that a man can only face a man in these kinds of matches. This will no longer be the case. From this point on, mixed matches can involve any combination in the ring at the same time.
Jake Roberts slipped by Iceman Parsons by rolling him up after he missed a turnbuckle charge. Time of Match 7:40
Madison Eagles slipped by Davina Rose with the Hell Hound in 6:51
The next match is part of commissioner Armstrong's “New Talent Iniative.” We will periodically bring in new talent to face an established opponent. If the newcomer wins he becomes part of the roster. If he loses, he must leave immediately.
Ted Dibiase (newcomer) made Ron Simmons submit to the Figure Four Leglock. Time of Match: 18:30
Freddie Blassie & Chelsea Green beat Arn Anderson & Lufisto after Blassie hit the southern neckbreaker on Lufisto, then tagged in Chelsea Green to hit the Unprettier for the win. Time of match: 2:30.
Farmer Burns forced Terry Funk to submit to a toelock in 18:25
Ric Flair beat Buddy Rogers with the Figure Four Leglock in 7:18
Ric Flair takes the mic “Whoo! That's how it's done! I know people are saying I'm finished because I lost my belt to Lou Thesz. Mr. Thesz is an amazing wrestler and he deserved to win. But guess what? I'm an amazing wrestler too, and I'm just a little better than Sweet Lou! Next time I get the chance, I'll take my belt back!
Sgt. Slaughter & Jim Neidhart beat Stan Hansen & Steve Williams by DQ in 8:47
Global Women's Title: Sherri Martel (Champion) stopped Jessie McKay in 7:13 with the Top Rope Splash
Sherri Martel makes her way to the interview area. “I don't know why people even accept a title match against me! They know they're just gonna get crushed, don't they? I mean...do they actually think they have a chance? I can beat any woman in this business and I intend to keep proving it!”
International Tag Team Title: The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Champions) vs Demolition. This was a hard fought brawl with all four men getting at least one fatigue token. Demolition hit the decapitator on Ole to win the belts in 17:07
A man in a tux, who we haven't seen here before has walked to the ring and taken the microphone. “My name is Rock Riddle and I can't believe what I've seen here tonight. That poor excuse for a commissioner just legalized assaulting females in this ring! I want you people to know that I've gone to the board of directors of SECW with a complaint and they've given me a chance to make it right! On Battle of the Elite, Brad Armstrong will select 5 men to defend him and I'll pick 5 to defend me. They'll fight it out in an elimination match. If he wins, he can keep whatever stupid rules he pleases. When I win, I become commissioner and I get to run him off!
Global Tag Team Title: Midnight Express (Champions) beat The Samoan Warriors by DQ when Sika headbutted the referee.

Cool seeing Demolition with gold again. Riddle needs to go crawl under whatever Rock he came from.

Cool seeing Demolition with gold again. Riddle needs to go crawl under whatever Rock he came from. I'm guessing Ole and Gene will try to have something to say about how long Demolition keeps the gold. As far as Riddle is concerned, I'm hoping his obnoxiousness (is that a word?) leads to some good times around here!

March 29, Year 1
Commissioner: Brad Armstrong
Commentary: Gordon Solie & Charlotte Flair
Ric Flair & Cheerleader Melissa beat Bobby Eaton & Madison Rayne in 4:02 when Flair locked Rayne in the Figure Four Leglock
Jessie McKay pinned Davina Rose in 9:16 after delivering astounding punishment while the referee was hurt. Rose was hurt in this match and will work at less than 100% for about 6 weeks.
Women's Title: Sherri Martel (Champion) stopped Jazz in 5:36 with a top rope splash
Contenders match: Winner gets a Global Tag Team Title Match: Sgt. Slaughter & Jim Niedhart stopped the Samoan Warriors in 7:31 when Slaughter unleashed the slaughter cannon on Afa
Buddy Rogers forced Terry Funk to submit to the Figure Four Grapevine in 4:04
After the match, Cactus Jack meets Funk as he comes through the curtain into the back. He tells Funk that he's embarassed to be Funk's partner and from now on, Cactus Jack is his own man. He shoots Funk a “Bang-Bang” and walks away.
Minnesota Wrecking Crew d Miracle Violence Connection in 4:09 when Ole locked Gordy in the Sugar Hold. The ref seemed a little slow when counting pins against the Andersons tonight.
Freddie Blassie pinned Arn Anderson in 2:20 with the Southern Neckbreaker
International Tag Team title Match: Demolition (champions) vs Lou Thesz & Farmer Burns. This was a tough back and forth battle, but Thesz finally hit the Thesz Press on Ax to win the titles for his team. This makes Lou Thesz the only person in GECW history to hold two titles at the same time.
International Title: Stan Hansen (Champion) vs Jake Roberts. This was a brutal match. Jake almost hit the DDT several times but Hansen managed to counter it each time. In the end, Jake went for an elbow drop but Hansen moved out of the way and hit the Lariat for the win. Jake hurt his neck in this match. He'll be working at less that full strength for about 5 weeks.
