WCW Blast At The Beach
Tony Schiavone welcomes everyone to the PPV. He says that a few matches have been added to the card. The biggest one being Uhaa Nation vs David Taylor in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Those two men do not like each other and will tear the place apart trying to do the same to each other. But before we get to that, it is time for our opening match between a pair of exciting light heavyweights.
Tiger Mask vs Ricochet
Tiger Mask put on a wrestling clinic as he dominated his opponent. Early in the match he tried to end it fast with his Tiger Suplex finisher. But Ricochet kicked out. That turned into the theme of the match. Tiger Mask popped the crowd when he tossed Ricochet out of the ring and hit a Space Flying Tiger Drop. He rolled Ricochet back in the ring, went to the top rope and hit a senton followed up by a twisting moonsault and a cover. Not getting the win Tiger Mask used jumping spin kick and a pair of piledrivers. A second Tiger Suplex again did not get the win. A minute later a third finisher finally earned him the victory.
Winner: Tiger Mask via pinfall (2 stars)
Moose w/Ric Flair vs Juventud Guerrera for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship
Sadly, this was a squash match. Juventud tried a reverse monkey flip, but Moose just shook him off. Moose put Juvi in a bearhug and seemed to squeeze the life out of him. That made Juvi any easy target when Moose went to finish him off with a Spear.
Winner: Moose by pinfall to retain (1 star)
The camera catches an unknown luchador walking thru the crowd. He had a red, blue and black body suit with a spiderweb-like full mask on his head.
A video showing highlights from past matches between Uhaa Nation and David Taylor. Then the brawl on the last Nitro. That lead up to the next match.
Uhaa Nation vs David Taylor in a Falls Count Anywhere match
Uhaa tossed David across the ring then went in and David put a headlock on Uhaa. The match went back and forth for a couple minutes. David could not match Uhaa in strength, but Uhaa was able to match David's wrestling ability. Uhaa hit David with Ultra Combination, but David kicked out. Soon later Uhaa tossed David out of the ring and the men spent several minutes brawling on the floor.
Uhaa slammed David on the announcers table forcing Tony to move quickly. They fought into a concourse. David suplexed Uhaa onto a table full of t-shirts for sale. David got up, picked up a Claudio t-shirt, looked at it, wrinkled up his nose and tossed it to the side. He then picked up a Four Horsemen t-shirt, flashed the Horsemen hand sign then wrapped the shirt around Uhaa's neck and choked him. A bit later Uhaa was able to fight back. He grabbed a cup of beer and hit David with it sending beer splashing everywhere. They fought back toward the ring and Uhaa smashed David's head onto the railing near the entrance ramp. He tossed David onto the ramp and picked him up to deliver a nasty powerbomb. Uhaa went for the cover, but David kicked out. Then he rolled David into the ring and went for the kill. He used a standing moonsault to pick up the W.
Winner: Uhaa Nation via pinfall (3 stars)
Tony: Our next match is part of the ongoing feud between the Four Horsemen and the No Remorse Corps.
Horsemen w/Ric Flair vs Rocky Romero & Davey Richards w/Roderick Strong
The early moments saw Horsemen working over Rocky Romero. First Christopher than it was Kazarian. Rocky was finally able to tag out before they could pin him. Davey fought hard against both Horsemen. He hit a suicide dive on Kazarian and went for the cover. He might have had a bit of Kaz's tights, but the referee did not notice as he counted to three.
Winner: Rocky Romero & Davey Richards by pinfall (2 stars)
After the match as the winners walked up the ramp Gordon Solie stops them to get an interview.
Gordon Solie: You men have been in a long feud with the Four Horsemen. What does this win mean to you?
Rocky is about to talk but gets cut off by Davey.
Davey Richards: Considering we almost lost the match early on it is nice to come out on top. Thanks to me we were able to get that win. It was my great ability that led to victory.
At that Rocky looked upset, he looked at Davey then Roderick before walking off. Roderick looked at Davey who shrugged. Roderick walked off after Rocky.
Davey Richards: Some people struggle with the facts.
He leaves to the back.
A shot of the mysterious luchador standing in line to get a snack. Some fans come up to talk to him and he motions that he does not understand.
A video package examining the intense rivalry between Daga and Super Crazy that has led to their match. One man wins. One man loses and has to leave WCW. That match is next.
Daga vs Super Crazy in a Loser Leaves Town match
First out is Daga and he is strumming on his guitar as he makes his way to the ring. He is still walking down the ramp when Super Crazy came running out from back and jumped him from behind. Super Crazy kicks and stomps on Daga. He picks Daga up and tosses him into the barricade. Super Crazy picks Dage up again and drops him throat first onto a guardrail. Then he looks over at Daga's guitar. He picks it up and looks toward the fans who cheer. He takes that encouragement and smashes it over Daga's head. The bell rings soon after.
Winner: Daga via disqualification (1 star)
The winner is laid out at the feet of the loser. Based on the stipulation this means that Super Crazy is out of WCW. A couple officials come down to escort Super Crazy out of the building. The fans chant "please don't go" but he has no choice in the matter.
A promo for the next PPV, Halloween Havoc, coming in October. WCW is about to get scary as horror spreads throughout the company.
Road Warriors w/Paul Ellering vs Midnight Express w/James E. Cornette for the WCW World Tag Team Championship
The challengers were in the ring as the champs came out to the stage. Then the champs ran down, slide in the ring and attacked the Midnight Express. James E. Cornette flew out of the ring as fast as he could. The Warriors beat the Express down, tossing Stan Lane out to the floor. Animal worked on Bobby Eaton. Bobby was tossed in the corner and fought out of it. Bobby worked Animal over then tagged Stan. They hit Veg-O-Matic and Stan went for the pin. The referee counted two and his hand was half way down when Animal kicked out. Stan worked on Animal and used a Russian Leg Sweep that led to a two count. Paul Ellering got on the apron to try and turn things around for his team. Stan bounced into the ropes on that side and used his elbow to knock Paul off the apron. Then once Animal finally got up to his feet Stan hit him with another Russian Leg Sweep. Hawk got in the ring to break the count but Bobby flew at his waist, grabbing him to slow him down. The referee made the count, and we have new tag team champions.
Winner: Midnight Express by pinfall to win the titles (2 stars)
This is the second title run for the Midnight Express team but first for the team with Stan Lane on it. Cornette grabs the title belts and happily leads his men to the back. In the ring Paul and the Road Warriors try and figure out when wrong. They take their time to leave the ring. They walk up the ramp and get to the stage when two large men in wild clothing and with their faces painted come out. They shove Paul to the side and start beating on the Road Warriors. As big as the Warriors are these guys are even bigger. The combination of just being in a match, the surprise attack and the size of their opponents led to the Road Warriors being on the losing side of the exchange. Security comes out and the two men end their attack and make their way into the back.
Tony: Who were those two men?
Bryan Danielson w/Ric Flair vs Claudio Castagnoli for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship
The challenger came down to a nice cheer. Then the champion and his manager came out with a grand entrance. Both men paced in their corners before the match started. Soon as the bell rang Bryan ran and tried to hit Claudio with a running knee strike. He was met with a European Uppercut. That set the pace of the match. Bryan kept trying to fight back but Claudio always seemed a step ahead of him. Claudio hit his finisher, Ricole Bomb. Then he folded up Bryan and the referee made the count before Ric could even react. The crowd popped as we have a new World champion.
Winner: Claudio Castagnoli via pinfall to win the title (1 star)
Claudio was handed the belt and he left the ring, hopped the barricade and celebrated with the fans. It a scene of pure joy. Inside the ring it was a scene of utter shock. Bryan could not believe he lost so fast. He looked for Ric for answers. With their attention on each other neither man sees the mysterious luchador slip into the ring. He grabs Bryan and hits a Rack Bomb on the former champion before quickly exiting the ring and disappearing thru the crowd.
Tony: Now who was that? People are coming out of the woodwork around here and attacking our wrestlers. This is the end of our show but do not dare miss Nitro. Hopefully we will have answers who these unknown men are. See you there.

August Week 3, Year 1
WWF Raw
The Mountie vs Koko B Ware
A fun opening match that saw both men have short bursts of offense. Then Koko started to get on a longer roll. The Mountie survived two Brainbuster finishers but not a third.
Winner: Koko B Ware by pinfall (3 stars)
Back from commercial break and standing in the middle of the ring is Bret "The Hitman" Hart. He is in full wrestling gear which he has not been seen in for quite a while. Bret Hart: As you all can see; I am in my gear. That is because I will be wrestling once again real soon. See, the World Wrestling Federation is holding a pay per view event in September called King Of The Ring. It is named after an eight-man, one night tournament to see who the best wrestler is. Well, how can you hold a tournament without the excellence of execution? You can't. That is why I am officially entering my name into the King of the Ring tournament. I plan on not just competing but winning it. So, seven others of you boys in the back can enter. I mean I need to have someone to beat. Just remember, you won't be winning the tournament. I will.
A promo from Mean Gene Okerlund reminding people to tune in to NBC on Saturday night for the new special, Saturday Night's Main Event. A new wrestler to WWF will be making his debut on the show. He says to check your TV guide for the time and station in your area but most if not all affiliates will be airing it right after the local 11 o'clock news ends.
King Kong Bundy vs Matt Striker
Matt strikes fast and had his larger opponent in trouble early on. It did not last long. Once Bundy countered one of Matt's moves, he hit a running powerslam and almost got the win. Matt was able to kick out right before three. From there Bundy kept pounding on Matt and finished him with Avalanche. He told the referee to count to five and that is what he did.
Winner: King Kong Bundy via pinfall (3 stars)
Inside the studio Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan are chatting. There is a can sitting in front of Bobby.
Gorilla Monsoon: Are you going to tell me what is in the can Brain?
Bobby Heenan: It WAS going to be a gift to The Rising Sons. But they took off so fast during our interview I did not get the chance to give it to them. You can have it if you want.
Gorilla Monsoon: (Reaches for the can and beings to open it) What is it?
Bobby Heenan: Sushi.
Gorilla Monsoon: (Makes a horrible face once he opens the can) My god, it smells awful. Where did you purchase it from?
Bobby Heenan: Pete's Bait and Tackle Shop.
Gorilla Monsoon: (Hands it back to Bobby who does not want it) Oh give me a break Heenan. Let's get back to the in-ring action.
Tony Atlas vs Big John Studd
Big John Studd was not as lucky as his former tag partner was in the former match. He started with a few moves but then Tony Atlas rocked him with a standing dropkick. After that Tony kept the pressure on. A couple minutes later a big dropkick almost got him the win. He followed the cover with a crushing full nelson and got the win.
Winner: Tony Atlas by pinfall (2 stars)
Randy Savage is walking in a back hallway when Buddy Roberts walks up to him.
Buddy Rogers: Hey Randy, can we talk?
Randy Savage: What do you want, Buddy?
Buddy Rogers: The same thing as you. To put an end to these outsiders sitting in the front row of our shows. These invaders want to mock us so I say we get them in the ring and let them see what the WWF is all about. I have talked to management and they are willing to sign Steve Williams and Terry Gordy to contracts. More so, they want them in a match this Saturday on the new Saturday Night's Main Event. How about you and I tag to take them on and let the world know what is what?
Randy Savage: (Looks Buddy up and down as he plays with his sunglasses. Then he holds out his hand) You are on Buddy. The Macho Man will be happy to team with you this Saturday and beat some sense into those that wish to invade the WWF.
Both men shake hands and a big smile crosses Buddy's face.
The Rising Sons vs British Bulldogs for the WWF World Tag Team Champions
This match was great and a treat for the fans. The Bulldogs were working well together as they worked over Mr. Fuji. They used double team moves, like double head butt to do damage, and frequent tags to stay fresh. Dynamite Kid tried one cover but Fuji kicked out. Then Kid pointed to the turnbuckle and fans cheered. He went to the top rope and hit a Diving Head Butt. Mr. Saito came in to try and make the save but Davey Boy Smith cut him off. Mr. Fuji was still able to kick out.
The Bulldogs stayed on the attack, but Mr. Fuji countered a move by Davey Boy Smith and tagged out. Mr. Saito tore into Davey Boy and after a couple minutes he went for the finish with his Saito Suplex. When Davey Boy kicked out Mr. Saito put him in a Scorpion Leglock. That brought Dynamite Kid in and he pulled Mr. Saito off of his partner. As the referee went to get Kid back in his team's corner The Rising Sons took advantage of the situation for some double teaming. A couple minutes later Davey Boy found a way to tag out. Dynamite Kid came in like a house on fire. He put Mr. Saito on the defensive. Again, the Bulldogs double team Mr. Saito. In the end, Dynamite Kid went to the top one more time and hit a Diving Head Butt. The referee counted to three and we have new tag team champs.
Winner: British Bulldogs via pinfall to win the titles (4 stars)
Before Raw goes off the air there is one last promo for Saturday Night's Main Event. The opening riff of "Obsession" from Animotion is heard.
WCW Nitro
The show begins with a video package of highlights from the Blast At The Beach PPV. It includes the attack on former World Heavyweight and Tag Team champions by the mysterious luchador and two big scary men respectively. Then we are live with Tony Schiavone.
Tony: We still have no word on who the luchador was that attacked Bryan Danielson, but we do have a bit of info on the two men who attacked the Road Warriors. Their names are The Barbarian and Warlord. They for the tag team of Powers of Pain. Why they are here and why they attacked the Road Warriors is unknown at this time. However, they will be in our opening match and that happens now.
Powers of Pain vs Disco Inferno and Yellow Mask
Disco and Mask were out first. Disco was dancing and tried to get Mask to join in. He gave in and started dancing. As impossible as it may be to believe, Yellow Mask was a worst dancer than Disco Inferno. As soon as they got in the ring the Powers of Pain came out and stomped down to the ring, slid in and attacked their opponents.
Warlord and Yellow Mask began the mask. After taking a beating for a minute or so, Yellow Mask actually got a couple moves in. Then he decided to try an ill-advised move. He tried to lift Warlord for an airplane spin. From there the Powers of Pain dominated. A bit later The Barbarian went for a pin but Yellow Mask kicked out. Once again, not a bright idea. More pain was coming his way. Warlord hit a slam and covered Mask. Warlord picked up Mask's head and shoulders after the two. Warlord then dragged Yellow Mask to his team's corner and grabbed Yellow Mask's arm and held his hand out for Disco to tag. Disco, showing not only is he a better dancer than Yellow Mask but smarter, refused the tag. It was not long after that The Barbarian was in the ring, lifted Mask and hit a power slam. He covered and thankfully for Mask the referee counted three.
Winner: Powers of Pain via pinfall (1 star)
After the match Gordon Solie was on the stage waiting for Powers of Pain. He tried to get a word with them but they just walked past him like he wasn't even there.
Back from commercial Bryan Danielson is in the ring and he is calling out Ric Flair and the rest of the Horsemen. He says he wants answers on what is going on lately. After a bit Ric Flair, Moose and Kazarian make their way out and enter the ring.
Bryan Danielson: I need some answers Ric. First Claudio comes out of nowhere, gets to challenge me for the World title. Then, after he cheats to beat me, some Mexican luchador comes out of nowhere and attacks me. I need to know just wha...hey, where is Christopher Daniels?
Everybody looks at Kazarian and he shrugs his shoulders. Then the jumbotron comes on and Gordon Solie is in back by the Four Horsemen's locker room.
Gordon Solie: There seems to be some commotion coming from the Horsemen locker room. Wait, someone is coming out.
The mysterious luchador from the PPV that attacked Bryan comes out of the locker room, seems the camera and quickly runs away. Gordon slowly opens the door to the locker room, goes and in and the camera shows that Christopher Daniels is laid out with a folding chair on top of his body. The shot goes back to the ring where the other Four Horsemen have been watching. They have shocked and concerned looks on their faces and then they take off to check on Daniels.
Tiger Mask vs Jim Powers
A squash match as Jim Powers got in most of the action in this short match. A suplex earned Jim the victory.
Winner: Jim Powers by pinfall (1 star)
A promo for the next PPV which will be in October. It is Halloween Havoc. Scary music with rattling chains, moaning ghosts and screams is heard.
Eddie Gilbert vs Brad Armstrong
A decent match that saw Eddie in control for a couple minutes to start the match. Just when it looked like another one-sided affair Brad was able to fight back. He goes on a roll and hit his finisher but Eddie kicked out. Soon after that Eddie got his second win and hit a piledriver before making the pin.
Winner: Eddie Gilbert via pinfall (3 stars)
Medical staff are attending to Christopher Daniels then they put him in an ambulance and drive off. Ric Flair and the other Horsemen are steaming mad. They take off to try and find the luchador who is behind these attacks.
Brad Armstrong is walking with his head down as he walks into his locker room.
Man's voice: Hey now, I did not raise you to have your head down after a loss.
Brad turns to see his dad, "Bullet" Bob Armstrong.
Brad: No, no you didn't dad. Sorry about that.
Bob: No biggie. You had a good match. Eddie just got a bit lucky and was a bit better tonight.
Brad: Yea, I guess. So, is it true? Is he coming to WCW?
Bob: Yep. That is what he says. I checked with officials, and they said they have signed him.
Brad: Is he bringing his best friend?
Bob: Yep.
Both men just stand there in silence as the show goes to commercial.
Big Van Vader vs Nigel McGuinness
Poor Nigel never got a chance to get in this match. Big Van Vader overpowered him right at the start. Nigel did show his toughness by kicking out of Vader Bomb twice but as they say, third time's the charm.
Winner: Big Van Vader by pinfall (1 star)
The referee tries to raise Vader's arm as the winner, but Vader pulls away from him. Then Vader made the belt gesture around his waist.
ECW Chaos
War Machine vs The Saints
This looked like it was going to be a squash early on. War Machine were rolling over Jake Crist. He survived three pin attempts before he was able to tag out. Dave got in some offense. He hit a spinning wheel kick on Raymond Rowe who was hardly fazed. Dave followed up with a springboard moonsault that took Rowe out. Dave could not hold the advantage and soon War Machine was rolling again. A big moment came when Hanson tagged Rowe back in, tossed Dave out of the ring and Rowe ran the ropes and hit a suicide dive. A "holy s#!t" chant broke out. It was not long after that when War Machine hit their tag finisher, War Machine, on Dave Crist and Raymond Rowe covered him.
Winner: War Machine via pinfall (4 stars)
Alex Shelley and ECW TV Champion Chris Sabin are talking in back when Jerry Lynn walks by.
Chris Sabin: Hey Jerry, who am I? (He starts tapping his hand on the wall) No more, no more. I cannot take it. I quit. (He stops tapping and points toward Jerry) That is you. I was doing you.
He and Alex pretend to hold back laughter, covering their mouth with their hand, as Jerry shakes his head and walks off.
Vampiro vs Al Snow
Before the match Steve Corino walked out and down to ringside. It appeared like he might enter the ring to get Vampiro but that was just a fake out. It allowed Al Snow to attack Vampiro from behind. Steve went and sat in a chair by the time keeper's table. Al grabbed his mannequin head and delivered head butts with it on Vampiro. A cover only got a two count. The match went to the floor a pair of times where Al tossed Vampiro around. When back in the ring Al used a moonsault to finish Vampiro off in this one-sided match. Steve's plan seemed to work.
Winner: Al Snow by pinfall (1 star)
As Vampiro lays on the mat Steve comes over to talk trash a few inches from his face before the referee gets him to return to the back.
It is just about time for the main event when Shane Douglas marches down to the ring. He grabs a chair, enters the ring, sets the chair up and sits down. He pulls out a microphone.
Shane Douglas: Chaos is officially over. You fine folks can go home now. There will be no main event. I know you want to see it but that is how life goes. You do not always get what you want. I want an ECW World Heavyweight title shot but I guess I do not get it. So, I am just going to sit here and keep the show from going on.
The sounds of "Sandman" by Metallica are heard and the crowd pops loudly. Shane stands up and looks toward the entrance. But The Sandman is not coming out from there. He is up in the crowd, smoking a cigarette and holding a Singapore cane in one hand and a can of beer in the other. He cracks the beer opens, chugs it and then bangs the can against his head as the crowd goes wild. Then he slowly makes his way to toward the ring. He stops and cracks open another beer he pulled from his pocket and shares it with some fans before hopping the barricade. Next, he grabs a microphone of his own and slides into the ring. Shane is about to speak when The Sandman cuts him off.
The Sandman: Will you shut the HELL up. I have been hearing you whining and crying about wanting a shot at my title. All you had to do was ask buddy. I am easy to find. You want your title shot? You got it. Go ask management when they want to set up the match and I will be there.
Shane seems a bit surprised. Then a smile crosses his face as he nods his head. He turns around to go do just that. The Sandman swings his cane and hits Shane on his back sending him to his knees. Then another couple smacks for good measure.
The Sandman: Just know that while you will get your match, you sure as hell are not getting my title punk.
He leaves the ring, rejoins the fans and opens one more beer. The Sandman is chugging his beer as Shane rolls around in pain in the ring.
Taz vs Abdullah The Butcher w/Sir Oliver Humperdink
Taz starts hot using German suplexs to rock the much larger Abdullah. He went to the well one time to many and as he got behind Abdullah he was on the receiving end of a back kick between his legs. Abdullah went to work, determined to unleash pain on Taz. The fight ended up on the floor for a couple minutes where the Butcher brutalized his opponent. Once the match returned to the ring Abdullah used karate thrust to throat on Taz to weaken him more. Then it was his finisher, Sudanese Meat Cleaver, to end Taz's night.
Winner: Abdullah The Butcher via pinfall
Once the main event was over Sir Oliver Humperdink grabbed a microphone and entered the ring. Sir Oliver Humperdink: How devastating is my man Abdullah. He is not a man; he is a force of nature. This is just the beginning of the destruction we will be bringing to ECW. I have contacted someone special to come in and help me. He is The Prince of Darkness and will help unleash all of Abdullah's potential for violence. No one in ECW will be safe from us once we get going. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
PWI News and Notes:
There is a new ROH World Champion, "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards
In other ROH championship news the current ROH World Tag Team Champions, The Kings of Wrestling, are now comprised of Chris Hero and Chuck Taylor as Claudio Castagnoli has officially left the company and is with WCW full time. He had been working for both but with his winning of the WCW World Championship he has been released from his ROH contract
A new NWA:TNA X Division Champion was recently crowned, "Speedball" Mike Bailey
There was a title chance in CWFH as AR Fox won the UWN TV Championship from Scorpio Sky. That ends Sky's reign as a double champion. He is still the CWFH Heritage Champion however as that title was not on the line

WWF Saturday Night's Main Event
The show opens with a video of highlights from WWF matches on Raw, Wrestling Challenge and even a couple from Wrestle Mania. All while "Obsession" by Animotion is playing. A few clips from the music video are spliced in with the wrestling highlights. Then we are live as Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan welcome us to the show.
Bobby Heenan: I cannot believe I have to be stuck here with you on a Saturday night. I gave up a date because of it.
Gorilla Monsoon: Oh, is that right. Are the Rosati sisters back in town?
Bobby Heenan: (An upset look crosses his face) Oh shut up monkey boy. Let's get this show started. The faster it starts the faster it is over and I can get away from you.
Nikolai Volkoff w/Iron Sheik vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan
A good match that saw both men slugging it out with each other. A decent match came to an end when Volkoff lifted Duggan and did a throat drop on ropes. As Volkoff covered Duggan his partner Iron Sheik grabbed Duggan's feet to make it harder to kick out. It worked at Volkoff got the win.
Winner: Nikolai Volkoff via pinfall (2 stars)
After the bell Iron Sheik got in the ring and helped Volkoff beat down Duggan. Then Volkoff started to sing the Russian National anthem.
The camera pans the crowd. It is a packed house. Then it zooms in on some famous people in attendance. There are pro athletes like Reggie Jackson (MLB) and Emmitt Smith (NFL). Olympic gold medal winners like David Reed (Boxing), Allen Johnson (Track), Tom Brands (Freestyle wrestling), Kurt Angle (Freestyle wrestling), Kendall Cross (Freestyle wrestling), Any Van Dyken (Swimming) and Brooke Bennett (Swimming) plus movie star Tommy Lee Jones (MIB).
Next, we see Rowdy Roddy Piper walking in back. Blackjack Mulligan comes up behind him and smashes Piper with a black duffle bag. Then Mulligan jumps on top of Piper and drops elbows and fists on him. After a bit Piper looks dazed. Mulligan reaches into the duffle bag and pulls out a saw. He then starts sawing on Piper's arm cast. He cuts thru it, grabs at it and pulls it apart. He tosses the cast off to the side but not before slapping Piper with it a couple times. Mulligan gets up to leave, stomping on Piper a few times before he does.
The "Genius" Lanny Poffo comes out for the next match. He gets in the ring and starts to read a poem he wrote as fans boo. Then he is cut off by the sound of a motorcycle revving. It upsets Poffo which makes the fans cheer. Then a man in black leather biker gear rides out on a Harley Davidson bike. It is Adrian Adonis and he rides down to ring side. He gets off the bike, removes his gloves and jacket before entering the ring.
Adrian Adonis vs "Genius" Lanny Poffo
Poffo tried to slap Adonis but Adrian blocked it. Then Adonis started unleashing on Poffo. A suplex assortment really had Poffo loopy. A cover but Poffo kicked out at two. Then Adonis went to the top rope and hit Poffo with a top rope knee drop. This time Adonis covered and earned the three count.
Winner: Adrian Adonis by pinfall (1 star)
A nice debut for Adrian Adonis.
Inside the Nation Of Domination locker room D'lo Brown seems to be unhappy.
Mr. Hughes: What is your problem D'lo? The Nation sits on top of the mountain, but you look like someone stole your milk money.
D'lo Brown: That World title belt on your shoulder should be around my waist. I had the match and should have beaten Rogers. But instead, I wore him down, he snuck a pin in on me and then YOU got to cash in on my hard work and won the title.
Mr. Hughes: (Getting in the face of D'lo) You listen to me boy, a win for one of us is a win for all of us. We are a NATION. (Slowly backs away) However, if you want this belt so bad, I got an idea. You enter yourself into that King of the Ring tournament. Win the tournament and win a title shot. Easy peasy.
He turns around and walks off while it is obvious D'lo loves that idea and is deep in thought on winning the tournament.
Buddy Rogers and Randy "Macho Man" Savage vs The Invaders (Steve "Dr Death" Williams and Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy)
Randy Savage and Steve Williams started for their teams. Savage went wild on Williams, but he was out of control which allowed Williams to take control. "Dr Death" was overpowering the "Macho Man". Williams went for a cover but Savage kicked out. Then Williams tagged Terry Gordy in and told him to finish Savage. Meanwhile Buddy Rogers was holding his hand out, calling for Savage to make the tag. Rogers wanted in really bad. After some hard-hitting offense Gordy went for his Slam finisher but Savage kicked out.
Savage was in bad shape. He shoved Gordy and crawled toward his team's corner. Williams came into the ring but the referee stopped him and worked to get him back on the apron. Savage got to his feet and reached out with his right hand. Rogers reached out with his left but instead of tagging he grabbed Savage's wrist, pulled him into the corner and hit Savage with his right forearm. Then jumped off the apron, yanking Savage's arm over the top rope before letting go. That sent Savage spinning, in obvious pain, toward the middle of the ring. That is where he was met by an Oriental Spike. Savage hit the mat like a sack of bricks. Gordy covered him, hooking a leg, and the referee counted three.
Winner: The Invaders via pinfall (1 star)
Fans are quietly shocked at first then they start booing. The Invaders start stomping on Savage and then Rogers gets in the ring. He motions for them to back up. Then he puts Savage in a Figure Four Grapevine. Savage is in pain as he slaps the mat. Fans boo loudly. Some start throwing crumpled up pieces of paper. Then it is beer and soda cups, popcorn and trash. The ring starts to fill up with it.
Bobby Heenan: What just happened? I cannot believe it. Buddy turned on the WWF and joined those no-good punks.
Gorilla Monsoon: Are you glad you missed your date with the Rosati sisters now?
Bobby Heenan: Oh, shut up Monsoon.
Gorilla Monsoon: Make sure to tune into Raw to find out what is going on with Buddy Rogers and The Invaders.

Hi! Cool that you opened the show with the correct theme song! Nice touch! Volkoff saved the singing for AFTER the match this time! I'm guessing that wasn't ADORABLE Adonis climbing to the top turnbuckle, but I might be wrong! Williams / Gordy's tag name irl is the "Miracle Violence Connection", but if you are running an "invasion" angle, this is fine... Cool matches, nice debut by the Adorable One! And since you opened the card with the correct theme, why not CLOSE with the correct theme as well? -- Later! Todd C WTIC

-- Later! Todd C WTIC I HAD to use the opening. For my youth that WAS SNME. I have to be honest; I do not remember the ending, but I think that is either I was ready for bed by then and/or I had something else to watch and was switching channels quickly. In this case Volkoff was signing to signify his conquest. No, no it is most definitely not the Adorable one. This is the leather wearing, bike riding. butt kicking Adonis. I did use the Miracle Violence Connection name when I had them in WCW. Coming to WWF the name chance was partly due to the story line and a lot to do with Vince and marketing. Granted there was already a team named The Invaders, but I am going off they did not wrestle on TV or in US much if at all. So, Vince did what he does. Thanks for following and the comments.

August Week 4, Year 1
WWF Raw
Raw comes on the air and Buddy Rogers and The Invaders are standing in the middle of the ring. Fans are booing them. The Invaders just mock the fans as Buddy gets ready to speak.
Buddy Rogers: Everywhere I have gone since Saturday night people keep asking me the same thing. Why Buddy? Why? Why did you turn your back on the WWF and join The Invaders? Why did you sell out? I did not sell out, I bought in. My friends here came to me a while ago and showed me what was going on. How I was being mistreated and how I needed to stop being a welcome mat and start being the top star I was born to be. Wrestling comes naturally to me. Being the best comes naturally to me. Having a million-dollar smile and great personality comes naturally to me. I am one with nature. I am...the Nature Boy. I know someone clodhopper in another company claims to be but I am the original. The one true Nature Boy. As far as me and The Invaders, we see the future of this business. We will mold it and form it to our needs. You are looking at a New World Association that will be running the WWF and professional wrestling for years and decades to come. You can either join us...or bow down to us.
The three men are posing and grinning in the ring until the jumbotron turns on and we see President Jack Tunney.
President Jack Tunney: I am glad to see you men are in a good mood. It makes what I have to say all the better. You see, on Sunday my phone was blowing up with calls and texts from one Randy "Macho Man" Savage. (The crowd cheers at his name) It seems he is unhappy about the back stabbing you did to him. So, to make it up to him I scheduled him in tonight's main event. His opponent? None other than the "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers. Good luck Buddy.
As the fans cheer the men in the ring stomp, kick the bottom rope, point to the jumbotron, shake the top rope and basically let it be known they do not like Tunney's announcement.
Adrian Adonis vs Matt Striker
The newest face in WWF rode his Harley down to ringside. He entered the ring and Matt got in his face. Then Matt tried to get the jump on Adrian but the biker countered and dominated the action. After trying to win with his finisher, Goodnight Irene, then followed that up with a DDT and pin attempt. Just a minute or so later Goodnight Irene earned Adonis the victory in his Raw debut.
Winner: Adrian Adonis by submission/sleeper (1 star)
After the match the referee is trying to revive Striker. Striker slowly started to come too. As he did, he leaned up and gave a little kiss on the referee's scruffy cheek. The referee had a shock look on his face. Striker had a confused look on his face and then his eyes which had been open just a tad shot wide open. He then freaked out, scooted away from the referee and waved his arms. The two shared an awkward moment then both turned and went about their business.
Back in the studio Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan are discussing the King of the Ring PPV. Bret Hart and D'lo Brown have already entered the tournament. They announce that Curt Henning and Koko B. Ware have just been added. That is half the field. Only four more spots are open.
Tony Atlas vs The Mountie
The bell rings to start the match and The Mountie complains that Tony has something in his tights. Tony denies it but the referee gives in and goes to check. That allows him to get in a sneak attack. Gaining the early advantage did not do much good as he could not keep it long. Tony tried to end the match soon after with his finisher but The Mountie kicks out. Momentum swings from man to man but Tony Atlas had the advantage in control time. Finally, a second Press Slam And Splash allows Tony to get the pin.
Winner: Tony Atlas via pinfall (3 stars)
In the locker room Hacksaw Jim Duggen is sitting with his head hung low, his long hair in his face. A deep voice yells, "A-ten-hut, stand up you maggot". Jim looks up and Sgt. Slaughter walks up and stands in front of him. Jim stands up quickly and salutes Slaughter.
Sgt. Slaughter: What you are doing? You do not salute a non-comm. Now, why the sour puss look on your face Jim?
Jim Duggan: That dirty underhanded Russian Nikolai Volkoff and his Iranian buddy Iron Sheik gave me a beat down on Saturday's Night Main Event. Right there on TV in front of millions of viewers.
Sgt. Slaughter: Well, doesn't that make you mad instead of sad?
Jim Duggan: Heck yea it does. I want to give them a little bit of this (holds up his left hand) and a little bit of this (holds up his right hand) and show him you don't sneak attack the good old U S of A.
Sgt. Slaughter: Then let's do just that soldier. You and I will team together and face them miscreants in a tag match on the next Raw.
At hearing that Jim turned his frown upside down. With a big grin on his face, he grabbed his 2x4, gave a loud "hoooooo" and marched out of the room. Slaughter shook his head and walked after Jim.
Midnight Rockers vs Killer Bees
Marty Jannetty and Jim Brunzell started for their teams. Marty quickly had things going his team's way. He made a pin attempt, but Jim kicked out. Marty tagged Shawn in, and Shawn showed he was not being paid by the hour as he did not take long to hit Sweet Chin Music and pin Jim.
Winner: Midnight Rockers by pinfall (1 star)
A promo from Rowdy Roddy Piper with Cowboy Bob Orton Jr standing behind him, arms crossed. Piper meanwhile looks at his arm that used to be in a cast.
Roddy Piper: Oh boy bubba, you got me Blackjack. My arm has healed. I did not know you were an MD and qualified to remove my cast but I guess the horse is out of the barn on that one huh. (A crazy laugh) That does not change anything. No sir not a bit. If anything, you just made me more dangerous. It is like handing a gun to a shark. All you did was make your life more dangerous pal. Ha, ha. Oh yes, I am unhinged and uncasted. In fact, you could say you told the dealer to hit you and you just busted out with a 22. You might as well leave the WWF and go back to the ranch. Hang out with your cows my boy because the Rowdy one is coming for you.
Back in the studio and Gorilla Monsoon is talking with Bobby Heenan about the main event which is next.
Bobby Heenan: I am no fan of that nut job Savage, but I hope he cleans Buddy's clock.
Gorilla Monsoon: We are about to find out if he can. Time to go to the ring and new ring announcer Bobby Cruise.
Bobby Heenan: Bobby Cruise? Is that like a Booze Cruise?
Gorilla Monsoon: Knock it off Bobby. He is our new ring announcer. I would think you would like him due to his first name.
Bobby Heenan: He is just ripping me off. I need to contact my lawyers. Dewey, Cheatham.
Gorilla Monsoon: You forgot Howe.
Bobby Heenan: No, I haven't monkey boy. I just pick up the phone and call them. That is how.
Gorilla Monsoon: No, I mean...oh just forget it, let's go to the ring.
Buddy Rogers vs Randy Savage
As Bobby Cruise is doing the announcements both wrestlers are on edge and cannot wait for the match to start. They start exchanging forearm smashes. Savage gets the better or the exchange and goes to work on Buddy. The match is a brutal affair for most of the time as both men wanted to beat the other really bad. Buddy gets Randy in his Figure Four Grapevine finisher but Randy is able to crawl to the ropes for a break. Later Buddy puts him in it again but this time it was in the middle of the ring. Savage worked hard to fight out but eventually could take no more and tapped out.
Winner: Buddy Rogers via submission (3 stars)
Buddy Rogers is smiling and laughing as he leaves the ring. The referee is checking on Savage and tries to help him to his feet but Savage pushes him away.
WCW Nitro
A white stretch limo pulls up in back as Nitro comes on the air. Four security personal walk over and one opens the back door. Ric Flair and Bryan Danielson walk out.
Ric Flair: See, I told you there is nothing to worry about. I have things under control. With these fine gentlemen around this crazy luchador will not be able to hurt you.
At that the six men walk off into the arena.
Powers of Pain vs The Fantastics
The Barbarian looks to make fast work of Bobby Fulton, but Bobby uses his agility to counter, tag Tommy Rogers and they double team The Barbarian. Tommy tries to press his team's advantage. He goes for a sleeper and The Barbarian sends them spilling thru the ropes and onto the floor. There the men slug it out and needless to say The Barbarian wins that. Back in the ring he tags Warlord, and they perform an Elevated Clothesline. Warlord pins Tommy as The Barbarian stands over them guarding against and save attempt.
Winner: Powers of Pain via pinfall (1 star)
As the winners are walking up the ramp Gordon Solie comes out to get a word with them. They try and walk around him but he bravely sidesteps to cut them off, still asking questions. The Barbarian gets angry and grabs Gordon by his suit jacket and lifts him up. Gordon looks scared out of his mind. That is when "Ironman" starts playing, the crowd explodes and the Road Warriors come out. The Barbarian drops Gordon and Powers of Pain start brawling with the Road Warriors. The crowd loves it and they scream and shout. All four men keep exchanging heavy blows as they fight their way into the back.
Back from commercial.
Tony Schiavone: Well, that was just crazy. It seems there is a lot of heat between Powers of Pain and the Road Warriors. Let's go to the ring for our next match.
Rocky Romero vs Tiger Mask
A good match that saw Rocky in control early and Tiger Mask late. Tiger used a back suplex to pick up the W.
Winner: Tiger Mask by pinfall (2 stars)
Not soon after the match ends Bryan Danielson comes out walking with purpose toward the ring with Ric Flair behind him. Flair is trying to tell Danielson to let it go, that he needs to focus on his match in the main event. Danielson gets in the ring and grabs Tiger Mask.
Bryan Danielson: Who is the luchador that keeps attacking the Horsemen? Who is it? What does he want? Que? Que?
Ric Flair: I don't think he speaks Spanish. Pretty sure he is Japanese Bryan.
Bryan Danielson: I don't care. He needs to tell me.
He starts slapping Tiger Mask. That is when Rocky slides in the ring with a chair and chases Bryan and Ric out of the ring. Bryan points and makes threats to which Rocky gestures for him to enter the ring. Ric finally convinces Bryan to return to the back. As they leave Rocky checks on Tiger who seems to thank him for the assistance.
Uhaa Nation vs Tommy Rich
Looking to win quickly Uhaa hits a pounce right at the bell. He followed that up with a suicide dive and a pin attempt. Uhaa kept on the attack for a bit but Tommy was able to fight back. Tommy just was never a threat after that initial attack. Uhaa hit Ultra Combination but Tommy found enough strength to kick out. He had nothing left when Uhaa hit his finisher again a couple minutes later.
Winner: Uhaa Nation via pinfall (2 stars)
Brad Armstrong is sitting in a locker room looking at his phone when he hears, "hey big brother, how the hell have you been?"
He looks up and the camera pans in the direction he is looking. Standing in the doorway are B.G. James and Billy.
B.G. James: You remember my friend Billy aka Kip James don't ya?
Bryan Danielson w/Ric Flair vs Roderick Strong
The opening moments were move and counters. Neither man could seem to get anything over their opponent. Then the former World Champion hit a Yakuza Kick on Roderick which allowed him to start stringing some offense together. A good match that saw a lot of back-and-forth. Bryan was able to slap Cattle Mutilation on Roderick but he was able to fight out of it. Later Roderick was back in control when things got crazy, not in the ring but on the stage. Someone was thrown out onto the stage. It was Kazarian. Then the mysterious luchador came out and started stomping on him. That got Ric Flairs attention and he started to go up the ramp. The luchador grabbed Kazarian and planted his head on the hard steel stage with a DDT. Meanwhile, neither man in the ring was aware of what was going on as they were so focused on each other. Roderick used End of Heartache to pick up the win.
Winner: Roderick Strong by pinfall (3 stars)
On the stage the luchador seems Flair coming his way and he takes off into the back. Flair checks on Kazarian as Bryan slowly walks up the ramp. Bryan taps Flair on the shoulder and motions toward the ring. He seems to be wondering where Flair was when he needed him. Flair is pointing toward Kazarian as if to say he needed Flair too. The medical staff comes out to check on Kazarian. He stirs and lets everyone know he is ok as the show ends.
ECW Chaos
In a badly lit arena in the bowels of the arena Raven is sitting, head down as Stevie Richards and Rhino stand before him.
Stevie Richards: What's wrong boss. I beat Necro Butcher. All is right with the world.
Raven: Stevie you brainless amoeba. You did not beat him. Rhino took Necro out and you profited by making the pin. This is far from over. In fact, I hear Rhino has a match with Necro and it is about to go down now. You two better hightail it and get out there. Rhino, I want you to do one thing. Hurt Necro Butcher. Let him feel physically what I feel emotionally. Pure, unadulterated pain.
A nod from Rhino then he slaps Stevie in the back of the head and the two of them head off leaving Raven alone.
Rhino w/Stevie Richards vs Necro Butcher
A fine match for what it was. Both men with hard-hitting, sometimes questionable if legal, offense as they tried to beat the other man down to make them pinnable. Rhino hit a nasty spinning spinebuster and covered but Necro kicked out at two. Rhino got up and gestured for Necro to get to his feet. When Necro did Rhino blasted him with a Gore! that darn near broke him in half. A cover and the match was over.
Winner: Rhino via pinfall (2 stars)
It looked like Rhino and Stevie were going to unleash more punishment on Necro Butcher after the match when the most unlikely man came out to make the save. Justin Credible. He has had a blood feud with Necro Butcher for months, even before they clashed here in ECW. Yet here he was running out with a kendo stick to chase Rhino and Stevie out of the ring. Once he clears the ring, he looks over at Necro who is starting to stir. Necro stares back but neither man makes a move toward the other as we go to commercial.
Jerry Lynn is walking in back when the sounds of creaking bones can be heard in the area close to him. He stops and looks around. He begins walking again when once more the sound is heard. He stops and this time he hears giggling. He looks around the corner into another hall and sees Chris Sabin, who holds up a phone and the creaking bones sounds is coming from it, and Alex Shelley.
Jerry Lynn: Real funny guys.
Chris Sabin: Glad you think so grandpa.
Jerry Lynn: Yea well this "grandpa" can kick your ass anytime you want.
Alex Shelley: Fine, how about tonight. I mean, if it doesn't interfere with your watching Mattlock or your bedtime.
Jerry Lynn: Sounds fine by me. See you later Chris.
As Lynn walks off Chris turns and slaps Alex in the chest. He has a "what did you get me into" look on his face. Alex smiles, whispers something into his hear and Chris begins to smile too.
All Night Express vs War Machine
War Machine had lost a few times to All Night Express in the past. But due to their current winning streak they asked for this rematch. As the match begins Rhett Titus tries an elevated dropkick on Hanson but it does not even faze the big man. From there the match was fairly even for a few minutes. Then War Machine start taking over. They hit their finisher on Kenny King but he finds a way to get his shoulder up before the three count. A short bit later Hanson takes Kenny King out with Spin Kick of Doom.
Winner: War Machine by pinfall (2 stars)
A promo from Vampiro. As he speaks, he rubs his hands and keeps turning his head from side to side in a creepy fashion.
Vampiro: Steve Corino. You found it funny that you cost me a win last week on Chaos. You think this is playtime. Well, it is not. I want you in a match. But not a normal boring match. A Falls Count Anywhere match. Let us beat the living hell out of each other all over the arena. Then and only then will we get an idea of who the better man is.
Chris Sabin vs Jerry Lynn in a non-title match
When the ring announcer says the match is a non-title match Jerry Lynn looks at Chris Sabin with an "are you kidding me" expression to which Chris just smiles and shrugs his shoulders. As it was, Chris did not need to worry about his title. After a slow start he got going. Chris used Hail Sabin to take the fight out of Jerry and then a Cradle Shock led to victory for Sabin.
Winner: Chris Sabin via pinfall (1 star)
Before the show ends, we see Sir Oliver Humperdink standing in a poorly lit room. He is talking to someone in the shadows.
Sir Oliver Humperdink: Welcome Prince of Darkness. It pleases me so much that you have decided to join us.
Prince of Darkness: Thank you my loyal follower. You have set a nice foundation for us. We shall bring terror and fear to the ECW. They will learn to respect and worship us. We are the Templars of Doom, the Priests of Death. Our army shall grow and spread over this company like a plague.
The Prince slowly backs away leaving Sir Oliver Humperdink with an evil smile on his face.

Loved the promo from Buddy Rogers. Nice use of Jack Tunney; On the rare occasion that he did show up on WWF TV you knew he meant business and that s**t was going to go down! I'm sure Savage will want a re-match against The Nature Boy
As always you perfectly capture the chemistry between Monsoon and Heenan. A bit surprised you didn't choose Mike McGuirk to be the ring announcer considering all the zingers Heenan threw her way over the years.
Great stuff as always.😀
