I hope an attempt was made to sign Ben Carter because after his appearance on Dark tonight I don't think he is long for the indys

It looks like Ben Carter signed with the WWE:
As we previously reported here on eWn, there has been a lot of interest from numerous promotions, including WWE, AEW, Impact Wrestling, ROH, and others regarding Ben Carter. According to AEW Superstar Miro, Carter has opted to sign with WWE. During a recent livestream, he said,
“I know, I know, Ben Carter, but we lost Ben Carter. Ben Carter is lost. He’s gone to the dark side [WWE]. I mean, we can’t, we can’t — I mean, good luck to Carter. All the best to him. I was really impressed with his stuff.”
Carter posted a video on Twitter yesterday, saying that he was leaving soccer to become a WWE wrestler.

Can't say I'm surprised. With his skill, it was just a matter of time someone was going to grab him.

He was good. But they can’t sign everyone. They also have a bunch of athletic small guys. I think a big upside of his was his age and his quick grasp of pro wrestling. How smooth he was. The one that got away (for AEW) to me was Mercedes Martinez.
