The UWF returns with one of its staple events -- The Champions Cup!

The Champions Cup brings together every man who ever held the NWA world heavyweight title. This will be a 16-man tournament.

The champions were seeded by multi-time world title holders first and furthermore by title defenses and total length of reign.

I am leaving tomorrow (Saturday) for my trip to Portland and then Seattle. These are the 16 cards I'm brining to play some matches with my niece's husband Jacob. I also made the bracket for Double Elimination and the two of us will decide if this will be single elimination or double. I don't know how many matches we'll get to play, but either way if it's unfinished out there I'll complete it after I'm home.

North American champion Mascaras vs. Intercontinental champion Nick Bockwinkel -- UNBELIEVABLE! Mascaras with 5 fatigue coints, Bock with 7 but it is Bockwinkel somehow finding a way to hold on and win the match.

Baba vs. Rogers another awesome match.

Johnny Valentine going through the Loser's Bracket was something to see! He'd go on a 'roll' and hit his finisher over and over until winning.

FINALS: Valentine showing incredible guts, never gave up against Andre. JV had 7 coins before finally going down for the three-count.

Show Notes: Andre with another dominating performance throughout the tournament. Teaming with Heenan Family member Curt Hennig, the Giant led the way to the finals. Race, a Horseman, and Bockwinkel, in the Heenan Family, still worked together as a great tag team. The final was an awesome bout that Andre & Hennig won.

That meant Hennig had to take on the Giant one on one. Andre continued to dish it out but somehow Hennig, who had not performed all that well in the prior matches, was able to capitalize on a wore down giant and the Perfect Plex gave him the win.

The Gauntlet series again saw Andre run through the competition before Curt Hennig scored a second straight pin on the Giant! Andre had good matches with Bockwinkel and Baba to reach the final.

Masked Superstar got a big win over Race to start his match. Mascaras put up a great fight against Hackenschmidt.

Rogers got a fast win over Kowalski then got a tough fight from Valentine before losing to the Macho Man.

Gotch was battered and beaten but stil eliminated Fred Blassie.

Macho Man beat Hackenschmidt to start the final. Andre then beat the world champion before a good fight with Mr. Perfect. Twice Hennig used the Perfect Plex to win the tournament.
