Bruno Sammartino vs. Ivan Koloff Next up Bruno faced the man that beat him for the world heavyweight title. The Russian Bear Ivan Koloff came ready to go in this one. These two just battered each other for a long time, in and out of the ring. Koloff didn't quit after the Bear Hug and the Italian Backbreaker. Bruno Sammartino vs. Mil Mascaras Bruno took on Mexico's greatest in the form of Mil Mascaras. It was a very good, intense match up. Mascaras had the advantage early with a couple near falls. Two of the best ever just worked back and forth for a long time with every move they had. Finally Bruno capitalized on the chance and put on the Italian Backbreaker. THE 17TH TRIAL OF BRUNO SAMMARTINO
Bruno Sammartino vs. Buddy Rogers Yet another amazing matchup as The Living Legend met up with the man he beat for the WWWF title. Rogers hung in there but did not capitalize when the chance was there. Bruno overpowered the Nature Boy. Rogers avoided a countout and then the Italian Backbreaker.
