Is there a set of Pure Wrestling Rules floating around that I just cant seem to find, or would the No Rope Breaks Match that came with Evolve 5 work? I am planning out a Pure Title Tournament for my ROH fed and want to actually do it right. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

The no ropes break match rules (as used by Matt Riddle at that time in EVOLVE) that I wrote for the EVOLVE 5 set will not work as the rules for each match are opposite. For example, the Pure wrestling rules allow for 3 rope breaks, the No Ropes Break rules allow for no rope breaks at all. Plus the No Ropes Break rules allow a wrestler to use the ropes to increase the rating of a submission move, Pure Wrestling rules would not allow a wrestler to use the ropes on offense without having to break it. I have a chart I created (well it's 90% done) for Pure style rules. I like it alot! I would share it, but if there is a ROH set getting released in 2021 (I really hope so!) then it would be a great match to be included in the set. |
