The Pluto app on our tv has an Impact channel that is 24/7 TNA Impact, so I finally started watching it. However, it’s older shows (at least a year), so I have no idea what is happening right now. I can only comment on what I’ve seen.
Also the shows tend to jump around. In one afternoon, I saw the World title on 6 different people; Brian Cage, Christian, Jarrett (every time I write his name, I still hear him spelling it.), Angle, Drake, and Aries. In addition, I saw the ring switch back and forth from 4 to 6 sides. And while I prefer the 6 sides, I’m happy as long as I see my favorites.
Speaking of which, my favorites are Davey Richards, Ace Austin, Killer Cross, Caleb Conley, and Rosemary. For reasons I can’t explain, I absolutely hate Eddie Edwards, even when he’s a face. I also found the Hardy’s and ECW alumni mind-numbingly boring.
When I found that a number of these wrestlers appear in Low indie sets, I thought about building my own indie fed with them. I was also tempted to try and fill the roster with nearly all submission wrestlers or those with amateur backgrounds. Unfortunately, my favorites are scattered over various sets. I already have Richards. But Conley (my next top pick) is in one set. Ace is in another set. Cross is in an Indie Prime. And I can’t even find Rosemary. I’m trying to figure out which 2-3 sets would give me the most technical wrestlers so I can hit the ground running.
Oh and Rosemary might be more than a favorite and as she’s probably my wrestling crush.

I watch it on Pluto TV once in awhile! Fun to look back at what they did!

I believe Rosemary is in a PP set, just not sure what year. I see her in Shimmer and PP, but under her Cortney Rush name. Considering Su Yung is in Evolve Starter, I was hoping to recreate their alliance/feud. Caleb is in Evolve starter. Ace Steele is in Best of Indies. And Killer Kross is in PP. My plan for November or December is to get 1 Low set and 2 indie sets so I’m just trying to decide which, though I really want Caleb’s card.

On a side note, watching Awesome Kong beating the crap out of ODB never gets old.

I know there's already a thread on watching TNA. However, since I'm pretty sure it covers what's going on currently and my experience with Impact is older shows on Pluto, I decided to keep posting here., especially since I've been on vacation all week, and with our vacation plans postponed, I had plenty of time to watch TV. I think Pluto covers Impact up to 2016 or 2018. I haven't seen anything more recent. It also goes back to around 2006 (the earliest show I've seen). Finally, these are just my opinions, so if I bash one of your favorites, or praise through the roof someone you despise, sorry. We're allowed to disagree, and this is just from what I've seen on Pluto. speaking of which, I know a number of TNA wrestlers are now in WWE or AEW, but my comments on seeing them on these shows.
so here goes:
Favorites: -Rosemary (also falls into crush category. I could watch her matches nonstop, for a number of reasons, but mostly because she's entertaining.) -Su Yung (Bloody Bride version. Creepy and awesome). -Caleb Conley (When I start my indie fed, he is my #1 draft pick!) -Ace Austin (Puts on awesome matches every time.) -Killer Kross (I thought this guy was just a dumb brute until I saw, in one match, he tossed a guy around an performed some cool takedowns).
Like: -Pretty much the rest of the Knockouts (except for any mentioned below). -Brian Cage (Great mix of power and speed) -Lashley (Why won't WWE let this guy talk? He does just fine on his own.) -Drew Galloway (Earned his WWE spot right here.) -Samoa Joe (Great matches with just about everyone.) -Kurt Angle (A favorite except when he looks like he lost 100 pounds and is out of it.) -Austin Aries (Great enjoyable matches.) -Rest of X Division (unless mentioned below.)
No opinion: -Shane Douglas (Don't care either way.) -E3 (Does a good job at being annoying but works hard.) -Bobby Roode (works hard buy not a favorite.)
Dislike: -Magnus (Has a good look but wrestles like a complete wimp and is more annoying than anything.) -Raven (Age is showing; not the same guy from ECW/WCW.) -Team 3D (Especailly Bully Ray (More annoying than anything. I gave them a match or two before changing the channel.) -Jeff Jarrett (Bores me to no end. Saw one segment where Russo and his bodyguards beat him up for nearly 15 minutes, and all I could think about was feeling sorry for those in the crowd having the watch it.) -ODB (Take a drink, grab your chest, rinse and repeat. The only match I enjoyed was when Awesome Khan beat her to a pulp.)
Hate: Hardy Boys (2 drugged-up has-beens who get way too much of the spotlight than they deserve.)
Also: Love Ultimate X matches Hate King of the mountain (Really? You have to pu the belt up there to win it?)
Once again, just my thoughts after watching a week straight of events.
