Paradox #1
Commissioner: Doctor Who
Commentary: Lance Russell & Marty McFly
The show opens with Dr. Who standing in the middle of the ring. “Oy! It’s me again. I didn’t like how Godsend left this promotion so I just decided to restart the whole damned thing. The Time-Space titles are now the Universal titles and the Terran titles are the Global Titles and I’ve revamped the rosters. We now have new competitors and some new champions. Those are as follows:
Universal Champion: Wolf
Universal Tag Team Champions: The Gladiators of Aethra
Universal Women’s champion: Mother Superior
Global Champion: Lou Thesz
Global Tag Team Champions: The Road Warriors
Global Women’s Champion: Mildred Burke
Without further jabbering, let’s head to the ring!
Marty: All this talking is getting old!
Lance: Yup. That’s why we’re headed to the ring now!
Jumbo Tsuruta vs American Guy
Jumbo Tsuruta dominated American Guy and beat him in 3:10 with the Backdrop Hold
Athena vs Ariel
Athena won a tough contest in 8:10 with a small package
The Dynamic Duo (Chris Adams and Gino Hernandez) vs The Killer Bees
The Duo used every dirty trick at their disposal but the Bees pulled out the win at 11:47 when Brunzell caught Gino with the killer dropkick
Encubus vs Angel Ortiz
Encubus made short work of Ortiz by winning with the Maffei Masterlock in 4:03. Encubus suffered a wrist injury and will be out for 6 weeks.
Assassin Z vs Beverly Shade
This was a tough match with several near falls for both ladies. Assassin Z finally won in 9:10 with a Backslide.
AC/DC vs The Steiner Brothers
This was a terrific match that took every ounce of energy both teams had. Rick finally got the pin on Cannon with the Steiner Dog in 27:04
MIl Mascaras vs Anthony Henry
The man of 1,000 masks showed off his skills in this match and hit his patented in 7:14 for the win.
Non-Title Match: Global Women’s Champion MIldred Burke vs Alere Little Feather
Little Feather was totally outclassed by the ladies champion. Burke won the match in 6:51 with the Alligator Clutch
Non-Title Match: Global Champion Lou Thesz vs Buddy Landell
Buddy’s cocky attitude rubbed Lou the wrong way from the start. He attacked Landell early with a headlock but Buddy countered with a wristlock. They traded offense back and forth, Lou even hit the greco roman backdrop and couldn’t get the pin. Lou finally surprised Landell with a dropkick at 19:41 to get the win.
Another Time and Another Place: Before the main event, a hologram plays in the ring showing Universal Champion Wolf defending against Japanese Great, Antonio Inoki. Wolf won a brutal match (9 tokens between them) that could have gone either way. Wolf finally hit the Wolf Skullskrusher in 20:37 for the win.
Non Title Match: Global Tag Team Champions the Road Warriors vs The Assassins
The Assassins tried to put up a fight, but the Road Warriors showed why they are the Interplanetary Tag Champs. They toyed with their masked opponents and finally hit the Doomsday Device at 5:58. After the match, Hawk nearly unmasks Assassin #1 but his partner drags him out of the ring and they head for the hills. Lance Russell “Woah boy, those Assassins nearly lost more than a match! Oh Man!!”
