GM: Hello wrestling fans and welcome to Tuesday Night Titans, where we bring you only the best in professional wrestling. On tonight's program we will have some sensational match-ups featuring the Superstars of the World Wrestling Federation and joining me is his Lordship Alfred Hayes.
LH: Hello Gorilla, marvelous to be here for all the hard hitting action.
GM: Tonight in our first show we have scheduled the first round of the WWF World Heavyweight Title tournament, with four matches on tap. We also have a tag team encounter between Jimmy Hart's North-South Connection of Adrian Adonis and Dick Murdoch taking on the exciting team of Rick Martel and Tony Garea set for action as well. All this and so much more but let's go to ringside for our first match-up.

-WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament- First Round-
1) "Big" John Studd (w/Bobby Heenan) beat Bob Backlund with the Backbreaker in 11:03.
-Backlund used his superior technical ability to counter the sheer size of Studd. He rolled the big man over into a Backbridge but only got a two count. This brought Heenan to the apron and as Backlund was distracted Studd hammered him with a Clothesline to the back of the head. He then tossed him over his shoulder and Backlund had no choice but to concede.

-WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament- First Round-
2) Hulk Hogan defeated "Magnificent" Muraco (w/ Capt. Lou Albano) with the Legdrop in 6:28.
-Hogan was simply too powerful and had the crowd behind him. Albano jumped on the ring apron and jabbed Hulk with an object before he could get to him. This gave Muraco only a brief advantage as Hogan was spurred on by the crowd. A big boot was followed by the big legdrop and the three count was academic.

3) "Playboy" Buddy Rose (w/Jimmy Hart) defeated "Chief" Jay Strongbow with the Bombs Away in 12:44.
-This was a highly competitive match. The end saw Rose reverse a whip off the ropes and hit a high backdrop. He then dropped the vet on his head with a Brain buster and then he came off the top with his Bombs Away finish for the win.

-Backstage - "Mean Gene" Okerlund is with the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff
GO: Alright fans I hope that you are all enjoying the action here in the Big Apple. My guests at this time are one of the odds on favorites to capture the WWF World tag team titles that will be decided very soon in the upcoming tournament. Gentlemen your thoughts.
NV: That's right. There is only one team, one team that will wear the gold belts and that's Nikolai Volkoff and the Iron Sheik. There are many teams here with big mouths but when you step in the ring with us you need to be ready to wrestle. That's what we do best. All you Americans get used to it. We are the best.
IS: You know Gene Mean. I come from the oldest country in the world and I have held many championships in my career. Pan Am games. Champion. I been a champion since eighteen years old. Tell the Americans how great I am. But no need to worry we will show you all very soon. Iran number One! Russia number one! USA acht put!
GO: There you have it fans. Back to the ring.

-WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament- First Round-
4) "Rowdy" Roddy Piper defeated "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas by Disqualification in 10:55 when he refused to heed the ref's instructions.
-Piper produced an object from his tights and used it several times during the match. Of course the ref was unable to see it but once the match went to the floor the big man was looking for revenge. He whipped Piper into the guardrails and started laying in heavy shots to the body and then a huge head butt. The ref tried to restore order but he was pushed aside and he called for the bell. Piper beat a retreat to the locker room with his win and to get away from Atlas.

-WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament- First Round-
5) "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (w/Virgil) defeated "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan with the Million Dollar Sleeper in 5:12.
-Duggan missed an attempted clothesline into the turnbuckle and DiBiase spun around and locked in his submission hold and put Duggan away.

6) North-South Connection (Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch) (w/Jimmy Hart) defeated Tony Garea & Rick Martel when Murdon pinned Garea with the Brain buster in 5:22.
-Hart's team made quick work of their opponents. They isolated Garea and kept him in trouble. Adonis softened him up with his sleeper then tagged to Murdoch who dropped him on his head for the three count.

-Backstage- "Mean Gene Okerlund is with Hulk Hogan.
GO: What a night of action and a thrilling victory for you Hulk Hogan.
HH: Well, you know Mean Gene. It didn't take long for me to dispose of that nasty Beach Bum and as far as I'm concerned it's one down and two to go until I claim the World championship. Right now brother my sights are set high, on that big mean nasty giant John Studd. I'm on a seek and destroy mission and Studd I'm coming for you! (Flexes)

NWA MAIN EVENT

Jim Ross stands in front of the camera with a backdrop of the ring behind him.
JR: Hello wrestling fans and welcome as the National Wrestling Alliance presents : Main Event. Over the next two hours we will present the very best that professional wrestling has to offer. Tonight we start the first round of the NWA World Heavyweight Title tournament and a huge tag team encounter between the Rock N' Roll Express and Jim Cornette's Midnight Express. So let's get to the action.

1) "Bullet" Bob Armstrong defeated "Enforcer" Arn Anderson (w/ James J. Dillon) by Disqualification at 12:03 for slamming him into the ringpost.
- A fantastic start to the show. Armstrong slapped on his patented Sleeper in the center of the ring and Dillion jumped on the apron. The ref turned to get him down and Armstrong dropped the hold and then dropped Dillon with a right hand. He then went after the manager and hit lefts and rights. Anderson recovered and hit a double sledge off the ring apron and then rammed Armstrong's head into the steel post. Bullet was hurt and the ref called for the bell.

Backstage Interview- (Tony Schiavone is with Ivan Koloff, Nikita Koloff, and Krusher Krushchev)
TS: Fans I'm here with the Russians and Ivan your nephew is in the NWA World's Heavyweight Title tournament and he is facing a legend in this great sport in Dusty Rhodes. I'm sure the American people would love to hear your thoughts.
IK: I assure you they do not because they do not wish to hear the truth. Dusty Rhodes is the best example of an American, a fat man with a big mouth. Look at my nephew.
(Nikita flexes and growls)
A superior athlete in every way. He will dispose of this American Dream with ease, claim the World's title and we will return it to Moscow.
NK: Uncle Ivan. Dusty Rhodes. Look at me. You have no chance.
TS: We'll see later today fans.

-NWA World Heavyweight Title Tournament- First Round-
2) Kevin Sullivan beat Magnum T.A. with a Double Foot Stomp in 11:37.
-This match was a pure brawl and Magnum did not shy away from the brutality. The ref was unable to see the foreign object used by Sullivan that had the young star clutching his throat. Sullivan then hit a stiff double stomp to the stomach and gained the three count. After the match, Dusty Rhodes hit the ring to help his friend but he quickly attacked Sullivan instead! He tossed him to the outside and hit a piledriver on the concrete. He then helped Magnum to the back.
*Sullivan is out for 10 fight cards

-NWA World Heavyweight Title Tournament- First Round-
3) "Nature Boy" Ric Flair (w/James J. Dillon) defeated "Wildfire" Tommy Rich with the Figure Four Leglock in 10:17.
-Rich more than held his own here and gave Flair some anxious moments. Flair was able to soften up Rich's left leg enough so when he finally applied his submission hold Rich had no choice but to concede.

Interview- (Tony Schiavone is with Dusty Rhodes)
TS: Dream I know you have a huge match coming up with Nikita Koloff but you need to explain yourself. We understand that Kevin Sullivan may be seriously hurt.
DR: Good. I hope he is hurt. I've dealt with that mean, nasty son of a B*t%# on many occasions and I tell you that now he can't hurt nobody anymore when he's laying in a hospital bed. He tried to permanently injure Maggie May and I will not stand for it. As for Nikita Koloff yuo may have some big muscles but I have something that you don't have and that's heart. I am willing to do what it takes to win, are you?

-NWA World Heavyweight Title Tournament- First Round-
4) Lex Luger (w/James J. Dillon) defeated Barry Windham by Disqualification in 12:08 when he shoved the ref.
-This was yet another great matchup. Windham outwrestled his opponent for much of the match. Luger's power did help negate some of that advantage though. He hit a clothesline that sent both to the floor. The ref went outside to try and get them back in and Windham pushed him aside to continue his attack. The official called for the bell and Luger advanced.

5) Rock N' Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) beat The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane) (w/Jim Cornette) by Count-Out in 16:09.
-This was a fast paced and exciting tag match with two of the top contenders to the World Tag title. The end saw Gibson get tossed to the outside by Lane after Gibson and dropkicked Eaton to the floor. Morton then hit a spectacular plancha on both Midnights. Gibson and Morton rolled back in and the ref completed his count of ten. Cornette was livid but this seems to be just the start of their rivalry.

-NWA World Heavyweight Title Tournament- First Round-
6) Nikita Koloff (w/Ivan Koloff) beat Dusty Rhodes with a Russian Sickle in 13:51.
-Rhodes was able to hurt the big Russian and had him in trouble. Ivan grabbed the Dream's foot while in the corner and distracted him so Nikita could lay heavy forearms off the turnbuckle. Koloff then hit a Sickle almost out of nowhere and Rhodes was out cold.

GM: Hello wrestling fans and welcome to Tuesday Night Titans! Plenty of action your Lordship as we have two Semi-Final matches in the quest to see who will become the World Wrestling Federation champion. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper takes on the "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and the Hulkster, "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan tangles with almost six feet ten inches of "Big" John Studd.
AH: Right you are Gorilla. I absolutely can not wait to see both of these matches. I will not make any predictions at this juncture. I'll let the action do the talking as these fine men vie for an opportunity to hold the most prestigious title in professional sports.
GM: Let's go down to ringside!

1) The Missing Link (w/ Capt. Lou Albano) defeated "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas with a Wild Chair Shot in 9:11.
-Atlas used his superior power to keep the beat at bay. Several headbutts and then a Press Slam and that brought Albano to the apron. Atlas swung wildly at the portly manager and missed. The ref was also distracted by the Captain and did not see the Link slam a steel chair into the back of Atlas' skull. Link covered him for the tainted win .

2) Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff defeated Hillbilly Jim & Cousin Luke when Volkoff pinned Luke with a Running Stomp in 3:20.
-This was a total squash for the foreign menaces. They isolated poor Luke and used illegal moves and double teams before a vicious stomp to the chest kept Luke down for the pin.

-Backstage- "Mean Gene" Okerlund" is with Jimmy Hart and the North-South Connection of Adrian Adonis and Dick Murdoch
GO: Gentlemen I'd like to prevail upon you to give myself and the great the fans of the World Wrestling Federation your thoughts about the upcoming tag team tournament.
DM: You know Mean Gene last week I hope these nothing happening melon heads watched up close what the North-South Connection can do. Garea and Martel. No problem. In fact I heard they were ready to leave this area after the whuppin we gave'em aint that right Adrian.
AA: Let me tell you something. This man and myself are a finely tuned machine of destruction and all I can say is that any team that has the misfortune to face us in this tournament is in for a long night. Take that to the bank Daddy.
JH: Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. (Speaks into the megaphone) Listen up daddy. There's no reason to even have this tournament. Your champions are right here. Murdoch and Adonis. So all these the other teams just save the time and the beating that you'll take from these two men. Stay at home and you'll live longer.

-WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament- Semi-Final-
3) "Rowdy" Roddy Piper defeated "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (w/Virgil) with the Sleeper in 8:55.
-Piper actually had the crowd behind him in this one because of the fans' distaste for the wealthy DiBiase. He used fists and then locked in the Figure Four leglock which brought the bodyguard into the ring. Piper released the hold and hip tossed a charging Virgil across the ring. DiBiase attempted to hit Piper from behind and missed flying into the ropes. Piper then caught him coming off and applied his Sleeper hold. DiBiase was soon out and Piper was in the finals.

4) The Killer Bees (Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell) beat Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito (w/ Capt. Lou Albano) when Brunzell pinned Saito with the Killer Dropkick in 10:09.
-A very even match that could have gone either way. All four men were in the ring and Fuji slammed into Saito after an attempted criss cross. Brunzell the hit a stunning dropkick for the pinfall and a win for the Bees.

5) "Playboy" Buddy Rose (w/Jimmy Hart) defeated Koko B. Ware withe Bombs Away in 12:32.
-Ware hit the Ghost-Buster and looked to have the match won until Hart distracted the ref by grabbing his legs. As the ref fought to get free Ware was distracted and was hit with the Megaphone that a groggy Rose had picked up. He then went off the top rope for good measure to get the win.

-WWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament- Semi-Finals-
6) Hulk Hogan beat "Big" John Studd (w/Bobby Heenan) by Count-Out in 11:27.
-The second semi-final was a slugfest. Both men battled on the floor. Studd charged at Hogan as he was up against the ringspost. The Hulkster dodged him and rolled back in the ring to beat the count. Studd hit head first on the steel and was out. This means we have a Piper-Hogan final set for next week in Boston.

NWA MAIN EVENT

Jim Ross welcomes the fans
JR: Fans we have another outstanding edition of NWA Main Event. We have a semi-final match in the NWA World's Heavyweight Title tournament as "The Total Package" Lex Luger squares off against the "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff in what should be battle of two young bulls. We will also have several great tag team matches as we gear up for the NWA World's Tag Team tournament in the coming weeks. Let's go to the ring!

1) "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant defeated "Dangerous" Doug Gilbert with a Wind-Up Elbow drop in 6:09.
-Boogie had little trouble in this one and was always one step ahead of the young Gilbert. He hit a Piledriver and then the elbow drop for the three count.

2) Ivan Koloff & Krusher Krushchev battled Mike Graham & George South to a Double-Disqualification in 9:21.
-A surprise result in this one. Graham had the Figure Four on Koloff when Krusher dropped an elbow to break it up. All four men fought in the ring and the ref could not contain the action so he called for the bell.

3) Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard (w/ J.J. Dillon) defeated "Bullet" Bob Armstrong & Brad Armstrong when Anderson pinned Brad with a Guordbuster in 10:09.
-The ref put Bob back into his corner after he had enough of the constant double teams from his opponents. Arn took advantage and after Tully clocked Brad with a foreign object he sent him crashing to the mat with his patented manuever.

4) "Sweet" Stan Lane (w/ Jim Cornette) defeated Robert Gibson with an Enzugiri in 8:31.
-Cornette distracted Gibson and Lane hit a Lariat for a two count. He brought him up and went to kick Gibson low but he caught his foot. Lane quickly flipped to the side and struck him along the side of the head. A quick cover and a foot on the ropes and the three count was made. Bobby Eaton quickly hit the ring for a two on one situation but Ricky Morton was close behind and used a steel chair to clear the scene.

5) The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) (w/ Paul Ellering) defeated The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) by Disqualification in 10:33 when Williams used the flag staff outside the ring.
- A brawl was expected and that's what we got as these two teams slugged it out. Williams was caught using the flag pole for their flag as the bout went to the floor and the ref called for the bell. The action continued until the New Zealand team started getting beaten down and they soon left to the dressing room.

-NWA World Title Tournament-
6) "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff (w/Ivan Koloff) beat Lex Luger (w/J.J. Dillon) by Count-Out in 14:21.
-An excellent match that demands a return in the future. Koloff and Luger fought on the floor and Lex charged but hit the turnpost. Ivan pushed his nephew back inside the ring so he could beat the count and earn a match against Ric Flair in the finals.
