Bill Apter’s Hot Seat Bill Apter announces that tonight The NWA World Championship will be decided. Barry Windham, the Champion of Mid-Atlantic, will take on Buddy Rogers, the National City Champion. His guests will be Teddy Long, Barry Windham, and Buddy Rogers.
Teddy Long comes out and the two discuss Legends. Teddy says he enjoys the concept, but doesn’t like traveling. His major problem is with the Outlaw Club. All their matches are no disqualification bouts. This is a very dangerous situation. Gary Hart comes out.
Barry Windham comes out and is glad to be back on the show and going for the World Title, He said that The Masked Superstar ran his mouth too much and couldn’t back it up. Apter asks him how he feels his chances are. Buddy Rogers beat some tough competitors to make here, but so has he. Suddenly, Masked Superstar comes out and attacks Barry from behind. Security pulls him off, but Windham is shaken up and maybe hurt. He refuses to get checked and says he will fight for the World Title.
Buddy Rogers says he sure is sorry about Barry’s bad luck. He hates to get the title by forfeit. Bill tells Buddy that the match will go on as scheduled. There is a shocked look on his face. He asks if Barry Windham is stupid? His leg lock is dangerous when a man is at a hundred percent, what chance does Barry have after the last segment. Bill asks Buddy if he is worried about losing. Buddy just hates to win titles by forfeit and is just glad Barry is dumb enough to think he has a chance.
