Legends Wrestling News Issue 1.10
Who is the Eastern Alliance? The news lit up the wrestling internet that a new federation would soon be starting up. Their Headquarters will be in Florida and will operate in the eastern part of the nation. An unnamed source inside the Eastern Alliance did say, “It’s going to be great, big and perfect. We will have wrestling stars, big events, and big venues. We will make wrestling great again.” So far they have lived up to that as they have signed Bruno Sammartino, Superstar Billy Graham, Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, and the promise of many more.
Is There an Unholy Alliance? Things really heated up in Outlaw Wrestling this week. The Terrible Turk and Ox Baker debuted their new team and defeated The BWO’s Blue Meanie and Supernova. After the match, Kevin Sullivan joined the two brutes for a three on one on Meanie until the back cleared out to help Meanie. “They’re an embarrassment to wrestling,” growled Ox. “They’re living irritates us.” When asked about Kevin Sullivan’s involvement, Ox and Turk just snorted. If Sullivan is in their camp, then Maniac Mark Lewin, who took on Stevie Richards, can’t be far behind.
Legend’s Club Ozark Mountain Wrestling Club Black Attack comes out and starts in on the lack of respect and opportunities. They want to know what kind of joke it is to be put up against Too Cool. They want the Armstrongs. Out comes Road Dog and Badass Billy. Dog tells the fans that it didn’t happen that way. Black Attack injured his dad and that they offered to take on Black Attack, and they refused. Koko smirks and says they didn’t want to waste their time, after all they didn’t even make it to round two. After a few more insults, things nearly break down, but Black Attack bail out as it gets heated.
Jimmy Hart comes out and says that Randy Rose is running late, but did have a replacement. Dr. D David Schultz steps into the ring. Despite Jimmy Hart almost knocking him out with the megaphone, Dr. D defeats Ric McCord with a backbreaker. **½

Nick Bockwinkle and Crippler Ray Stevens got the win over the Road Warriors the hard way. Animal was disqualified for using a chair across the back of Ray Stevens. *
Notes It is rumored that the Patriot may be Nick Bockwinkle’s next challenger. The Patriot has been on a pretty impressive win streak...The Crusher was angry that he was not cleared to wrestle and even more so that Kaissee, Raschke and Smirnoff weren't around. He told the fans that he has a special surprise for them when they get back. He also thanked the Patriot for helping out.
Bill Apter’s Hot Seat Bill welcomes everyone to the show. His guests today will be Al Snow, Tully Blanchard, and The Patriot. He discusses the moves made by Eastern Wrestling Alliance which will be located in Florida, but is already planning for growth that will open in Pennsylvania. He then talks a bit about Kevin Sullivan, Ox Baker, and The Terrible Turk alliance. He ends the first segment talking about the Black Attack and the havoc they are causing in the Ozarks.
Bill talks to Al Snow. They talk about the Blue World Order and what they want to accomplish in Outlaw Wrestling. Snow talks about the Outlaw tournament and how The Sheik burned him. While he likes the no dq matches, there has to be a line drawn. Kevin Sullivan comes out. He tells Apter he don’t appreciate his Top 10 because he has his favorites. He then insults Al and the BWO. As Al gets up, Kevin knocks him down, which also sends Apter down as well. Sullivan retreats as Bill goes to commercial.
Bill’s top 10 in wrestling moments this week. Number 10, Kenny Jay wins a match. Number 9, Kevin Sullivan joins Ox Baker and Terrible Turk. Number 8, Necro Butcher debuts. Number 7, Grappler uses an evident loaded boot to knock out Tracy Smothers. Number 6, Dr. D David Schultz joins the First Family under Jimmy Hart. Number 5, The Patriot continues his hot streak. Number 4, Lenny Lane wins his first world championship. Number 3, Barry Windham vs Buddy Rogers. Number 2, Sabu vs Abdullah the Butcher. And the top moment in wrestling this week is Tully Blanchard vs Magnum TA.
It’s a bit of a grudge rematch as Princess Victoria goes against Joyce Grable, who used some non legal tactics to help her get the win. Joyce is able to once again defeat Princess Victoria with a Middle Rope Dropkick. She tells Victoria to go back to the reservation and let the real women wrestle. The two go at it again as Victoria attacks. *
Tully Blanchard and JJ Dillon come on in this segment. Tully immediately tells Bill he did not hit Magnum with a foreign object, it was a legit knock out. Dillon tells Apter that everyone underestimates Blanchard’s fist. Blanchard says that the only reason he had to use his fist was that Magnum was getting away with all his cheating and he had to show Tessa that you have to fight with fire with fire. Tully then says that he is irritated with Apter about always being on the Most Hated List. He threatens him if that doesn’t change. Magnum TA comes out and Tully and JJ leave.
Apter’s final guest is The Patriot. Patriot thanks Apter for all the coverage he has given him and getting his name out there. Apter says that Patriot deserves it with the winning streak he has put together. They discuss his big wins and the possibility of facing Nick Bockwinkle. Patriot is sure that Heenan is the one starting those rumors of a title match, because Patriot doesn't have the experience that Bockwinkle does. What he does have is heart, courage and the fans behind him to give him support. He just might come to regret pushing for the match.

Bob is asked if his dad will be staying in Mid-Atlantic. Bob says that he will be around if he is needed, but for now will be going back home. Bob is asked about the Piper appearances. Bob laughs and says you never know with Piper. He might sign or he might just disappear.

Bill’s next guest is the GM of Texas Tough Wrestling Deke Morgan. Deke thanks Bill for giving him this time. They talk about Legends’ Fury and the crowning of the World Champions. Deke feels good about the chances with Dr. Death Steve Williams and the Fantastics representing them. They talk about the whole weekend. Friday is an evening with the legends. Saturday is business meetings and then Sunday is the PPV. Bill asks if there is any news that he can share as a teaser. Deke says he has a few deals going and there are other big talks happening, but nothing he is at liberty to discuss. Next up, Beat the Champ.
Beat the Champ. Bryan Danielson makes his first defense since winning the belt. Bryan defeats Savage-T. Several times Danielson had T in trouble, but he kept trying to fight back. Bryan finally puts him away with the Crossface Chickenwing. ***
Harley Race is the last guest of the night. He makes it clear to Bill, that he is after the National Title. One of the main reasons for hiring Rock Riddle was to get help in securing the title shot. Race is tired of hearing about Thesz, Rogers, and Brisco being great world champs. “One name they leave off is Harley Race. I may be the toughest World Champion of them all. After my accident, they said I’d never walk again, let alone wrestle. But, I did walk and I did wrestle and I became world champion more times than Thesz.” Race told Apter. Lou Thesz came out. He didn’t want any trouble. Thesz told Harley what he did to Strangler Lewis was low down and dirty, but it did get his attention. Thesz agrees to a National Championship match. It will be one and done. Win or lose, Harley will never get another shot at it, as long as he holds it. Harley tells him that is all he needs is one chance.
Ivan Koloff is upset that it is a dog collar match, he signed for a chain match. Bob Orton, Jr. laughed and told him he should have read the small print. It is a match. It involves a chain. Ivan reluctantly agrees. Bob Orton, Jr. defeats Ivan Koloff, touching all four corners. ***

Legends Wrestling News Issue 1.13
Legends Club Quarterly Weekend It was a great weekend. The Club representatives arrived early and had a nice supper. Representing Texas Tough was Deke Morgan. Representing Ozark Mountain Wrestling was Jeff Jarrett. Representing Club International was Mr. Ito and his daughter Mishi Ito. Outlaw Wrestling was represented by the lovely Francine. Wildcat Wrestling was represented by Hollywood’s Erin Murphy. Fans got to mingle with some of the legends, while the representatives got to know each other. It did not escape notice that Mr. Morgan spent a lot of time with Miss Ito. Deke told reporters there was nothing going on.
Saturday proved to be a work day. There were a lot of topics to be discussed and ironed out. The first thing decided was a new club. The Diamond Club would be a developmental Club for the women. The vote was 3-2. The other business for the women was that some of the clubs wanted to use women. Erin fought to keep it within the club. It was decided that the women would be pulled from Wildcat and Diamond Club. Any outside women used by the club, with the exception of Ito’s Pacific and European action, would pay compensation to Wildcat and Diamond Club. The next order of business was budgets. Everyone needed to stay in the prescribed budgets allowed. Anyone going over would pay a fine. There was some discussion of a mens developmental federation, but it was shelved until the next meeting. There was talk on pay for the employees and guests wrestlers. It was decided that none of that would be applied to the budgets. Guidelines were set up on pay. The final bit of business was talk of trades.

Apter’s Hot Seat Tonight is a special edition of the Hot Seat as Bill Apter interviews Teddy Long about his career and the Legends Club. Bryan Danielson puts up the Hot Seat Championship against another challenger. There will also be highlights from the first Legend Club PPV.
Teddy is brought out by Bill Apter. The two discuss the rise from referee to Commissioner. He admits that it all hasn’t been a fun ride. He has faced racism and dangers inside and outside the ring. He admits that Gary Hart gave him some protection and that he isn’t afraid to use it. He would like to manage again someday, but right now enjoys visiting and dealing with the different Clubs. The segment ends with Fury Highlites.
The first topic concerns the Outlaw Club. They are Hardcore and wide open (anything goes.) Teddy admits that the Outlaw Club does concern him. He was down there for several weeks looking over the situation. He talked with Francine about the violence and the possibility of serious injury, especially The Sheik using his infamous fireball. The two came to an agreement that there would be some things that cannot and will not be tolerated. The segment ends with more Highlights from Legend Fury.
The next topic is the new Club International Format. Mr. Ito has set up cards in the title's general location. There will be regular cards in the UK, Canada, Mexico and the Pacific. There were a lot of concerns over bringing in ‘future legends’. Apter wonders if that will cause trouble between the two groups. Long says that he expects there might be at first, but what the Legends need to remember is that careers don’t last forever and once they are gone, there will be a need to replace them. Teddy applauds Ito’s development of the ‘future legends.” Coming up next, Beat the Champ.
Bryan Danielson steps into the ring to defend. Bryan is able to retain the title in a tough match with Dirty Frank Dalton. He catches Dalton in the Crossface Chickenwing for the win. ***
The next topic is the women division. Erin Murphy, who represents the WildKat Wrestling Club, is a very smart business woman. She brought up a lot of things that caused a lot of debate. The major issue was the use of women in the other Clubs. She passed a measure that the clubs, with the exception of the Pacific, had to use the women in the Club, which meant the Wildcat Club. If any woman from outside the Club, that territory would be fined. Wildcat Club would also receive a fee for their use. Other exciting women news is that a developmental territory will be joining the Club. The Diamond Club will be operating, but their representative will not sit on the board until the Club’s probationary period is over with. There was talk of a men’s Club as well, but that measure failed.
The last topic is the future of the Club system. Teddy knows that it is still young and vulnerable, but has high hopes. The NWA and AWA seem to be doing well right now and the Eastern Alliance is coming in. There is room for all the wrestling. Teddy did say that there were a couple of feds applying to be part of the Club system. Next quarter there may be a major surprise.
