The PPVs meant a lot more too, doing it the way you’re doing it. Now top stars face off every week, it just lost that magic. Will check in on your updates and it should give me motivation when I launch my 80s WWF fed soon with the new colour expansion coming! |

Jack Reynolds welcomes everyone to United World Pro Wrestling's Championship Wrestling on ESPN. Tonight we have a star studded line up. In action we will see the Long Riders, Jim Brunzell, Jim Duggan, Greg Valentine, Sgt. Slaughter and Ricky Steamboat! But first we go to the Board of Directors member Jim Crockett Jr to give us the results of the General Manager voting results.
- General Manager voting results -
Jim Crockett Jr appears from an undisclosed area. "Hello everyone. What an exciting moment. Thousands of wrestling fans called in and sent in ballots for who they want as a General Manager. We would like to thank everyone who voted. I will now read the results. The counting of the ballots was done by a Domino Voting Corporation. I don't know the results and will find out along with everyone. Good luck to both men. I will first read Buddy Rogers vote tally. Buddy Rogers received 509,000 votes. I will now read Lou Thesz results. Lou Thesz received 509,000 votes. Folks we have a tie. This was n't expected and I don't know what to do in the result of a tie. I will meet with the other members of the Board of Directors to decide a tie-breaker."

A promo video of Sam Houston is shown. Country music is played as he is shown riding horses, bull riding and helping out his folks in their fields. Houston states he is happy to be a part of the UWPW and promises to be fan favorite.

Bill Apter interviews the Masked Superstar. "Talk is cheap and everybody does it. What you have to do is climb in that ring and prove who you are. I just saw that video of Sam Houston. Yeah you could ride horses and you could ride bulls but that means nothing in the world of wrestling. I've come here to put some gold around my waist and I won't let anyone stand in my way."

Sgt. Slaughter joins the interview. Duggan and Slaughter shake hands. "Me and the Sarge have one thing in common and that's that we're both proud Americans who will not let anyone speak ill of our country, ain't that right Sarge." Slaughter: "That's right Hacksaw but that's not the only thing we have in common. We also both like a good fight tough guy (laughs)." Duggan: "That's right Sarge, we're tough Americans and if Ivan Koloff doesn't think so he can come and find out. Hooooooo!"

Mr Electricity Steve Regal, Mike Rotunda, Boris Zhukov, Nikolai Volkoff and Magnum TA will all be here tonight. But before we go to the ring, we go to the Board of Directors with a special message. - Board of Directors Message -Hello UWPW fans, I'm Jim Crockett Jr and I'm here with Jerry Jarrett, Ole Anderson and Verne Gagne. Tonight we put in our vote to decide who will be the General Manager of UWPW between Buddy Rogers and Lou Thesz. We each get one vote. I will begin and I cast my vote for Lou Thesz. Hey everyone. I'm Jerry Jarrett. I cast my vote for Buddy Rogers. I'm Ole Anderson. I vote for the Nature Boy Buddy Rogers. Hi UWPW fans. I'm Verne Gagne. I have the honor of deciding the final vote. Rogers believes he raised his shoulder before the 3 count. - Outro -Jack Reynolds begins to sign off when an angry Buddy Rogers interrupts him and grabs the microphone. "To the Board of Directors I formally file a dispute. I raised my shoulder before the 3 count. Look at the video. I want this referee fired. This is an injustice." The show ends with Rogers arguing and Reynolds trying to get the microphone back.
