Cory has definitely shown that Eaton can do a good singles run probably better than the other two could. He started as a top contender for my cruiserweight belt until I decided to start running the MX as a Freebird style team... Could totally picture him making a return to singles action. |

- Heffernan pinned Conway after teaming with Costello to deliver a BOOMERANG. -- Tokens: Patterson 2
- Continuing their undefeated streak, the Kangaroos showed no respect for their popular opponents and drew an angry reaction from the crowd as a result. Berry taunted the fans, stating that his clients should be treated as the favorites to win this year's Cup.
Heroes Cup Series - Omega Bracket
BARON VON RASCHKE & NIKOLAI VOLKOFF def. Doug Somers & Mike McCord via pinfall at 13:39.
- Baron pinned Somers after a running knee smash. -- Tokens: Volkoff 1 - Somers 1, McCord 2
- Although considered underdogs in this series, both teams performed admirably well in this highly competitive match.
Heroes Cup Series - Alpha Bracket
JACKIE FARGO & THE CRUSHER def. Fit Finlay & Scott Irwin via pinfall at 8:28.
- Crusher pinned Irwin after a CRUSHER BOLO. -- Tokens: Crusher 2 - Irwin 2
GEORGE STEELE (w/ Adrian Street) def. Sputnik Monroe via submission at 11:21.
- Steele finished Monroe with a FLYING HAMMERLOCK. -- Tokens: Steele 1 - Monroe 5
- Continuous distractions by Street made it impossible for the referee to properly enforce the rules during this vicious conflict. Taking full advantage of the situation, Steele ripped off a turnbuckle pad and rubbed the stuffing in Monroe's face and then busted him wide open with a headlock turnbuckle ram into the exposed steel. Street was delighted with his Animal's victory, but made certain that he was a safe distance away before Monroe recovered.
LCW Universal Ladies Championship Match
MILDRED BURKE def. Tina Moretti via submission at 5:43.
- Burke finished Moretti with an ALLIGATOR CLUTCH. -- Tokens: Moretti 3
- With methodical precision, Burke prevented Moretti from gaining a foothold in this completely one-sided affair.
Mildred Burke retained the LCW Universal Ladies Championship for a successful version three title defense.
Heroes Cup Series - Omega Bracket
BRUISER BRODY & JIMMY SNUKA def. Bobby Eaton & Dennis Condrey (w/ Randy Rose) via pinfall at 9:40.
- Snuka pinned Eaton after a SUPERFLY LEAP. -- Tokens: Eaton 1, Condrey 1
- Quick tags helped the Midnight Express stay in the fight for awhile, but the combined ferocity of Brody and Snuka was too much for them to overcome.
Heroes Cup Series - Alpha Bracket
BOB ORTON JR & DON MURACO (w/ Rock Riddle) def. Jack & Jerry Brisco via DQ at 5:39.
- Jack was disqualified when he struck the referee, thinking that it was Riddle sneaking up from behind. -- Tokens: Muraco 1 - JerryB 1
- Prior to the opening bell, Orton and Muraco introduced Riddle as their manager. This development rattled the reigning LCW Universal Tag Team Champions to a degree, causing them to fight more aggressively than usual. Riddle harassed the Briscos enough that Jack made a costly error that resulted in a disappointing technical decision.

BOBO BRAZIL & KILLER KOWALSKI def. Mad Dog Vachon & Ray Stevens via pinfall at 8:08.
- Kowalski pinned Vachon with a KOWALSKI CLAW. -- Tokens: Brazil 2, Kowalski 1
- Catching Vachon with a potent double team combination, Brazil and Kowalski executed a formidable comeback to emerge triumphant over last year's Cup winners.

Go Kangaroos. Rough start for Vachon and Stevens. Burke doing Burke things. I'm happy that Burke is building on her current title reign... And even happier that the 'Roos opened the Heroes Cup series with a victory... Would love to see them secure a first place finish in their bracket to pass directly into the tournament semifinals at Forever Freedom. Last year's winners, Mad Dog & the Crippler, drop their opening match to the unlikely duo of Brazil & Kowalski... But, they've got plenty of time to make it up.
