Lol, this just happened, so decided to post
Buddy Rogers is my Southern Chamo and was scheduled to face Frank Dalton in a non title warm up match. The match ended in a double disqualification. Dalton challenged Rogers to another match. The result? Another double disqualification, lol.
Now I need to hold a no disqualification match, lol.

Huge upset in the AWA tonight. The Great Gama has been nearly unstoppable since his card was released. I think he's only lost to Vader and he squashes most of his opponents pretty easily. Tonight I was giving him "an easy" title defense because my next card will have a #1 contenders match between Kurt Angle vs Stan Hansen. And the hope was to build to an AWA World title match between Gama vs Angle or Hansen.
Well the dice didn't care for Gama Tonight as he dropped the AWA World Championship to... FRANK DALTON!

I recall DDP having a series of matches were he lost to Hugh Morris and Disco Inferno, then he broke his losing streak by beating the Macho Man.

The biggest rule a promoter has to remember with title matches is if you really don't want a guy to win then don't book the match lol!

How did he even get a title shot!? His previous match was an upset victory against Baron Von Raschke. So I reasoned giving him an opportunity at the title thinking he couldn't pull off two upsets in a row. While the top 2 contenders faced off to earn a title match. But I should've followed Ty's advise of not giving someone a title match that I don't want as champion.

Yeah, I definitely would take Ty's advice, lol. But thats part of the game, especially if you treat it like a shoot.

Koko B. Ware beat Giant Baba for the LWF title in two or three moves once for me. Did Frankie peck Baba to death before the match? Man I would have had to give Koko the Bart Gunn treatment after that for f'n up my fed plans lol Koko once beat The Destroyer for my secondary belt in about 3 moves. His punches are deadly which set up his finisher nicely. That is my biggest title upset but he notched a few wins to earn it. Bill White has victories over Duggan and Patriot in the prelim department. Both were quick rolls in about 2-4 moves. Recently Jake Milliman had two near falls against Don Leo Jonathan before succumbing to the Mormon Swing.
