So my indie fed, FIST is nearing 50-60 wrestlers. I don’t want to split it as I feel a LOW and Indie fed are enough. I also don’t want more than my singles and tag titles (maybe a third belt later). So my idea, which I drew inspiration from WCW, TNA, and 80s Mania Wrestling, is to have a bunch of tournaments; maybe 10 a year. Now rather than fighting for title shots, the winners would instead get trophies and pay check bonuses. Finally, these wouldn’t always take place at a ppv, but sometimes at a weekly card.
I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for types of tournaments. They don’t even need to be brackets, as long as 8-16 wrestlers can compete outside of the main title divisions.
Here’s what I have so far:
Master of Combat: Tournament among rookies, though for the first year (since everyone is a rookie), I’m going with Rahl Ratings of 25 or less. It’s also like King of the Ring, where the winner gets a robe, crown, and scepter instead of a trophy.
Gentlemen’s Cup: Low Dis ratings only.
Bloodbath Tournament: Ring rating of A.
Ring General: A’s for Ropes and Turnbuckle.
Gauntlet: Wrestler 1 fights 2, the winner fights 3, and so on.
Friends and Foes: A Lethal Lottery event.
Any other ideas and suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks!

Do you keep track of who wins and loses matches . All my JAWA (Indies /LOTF) fed I have the top 4 winning % faces and heels into tournament .
Bum of the year ? Losers of matches stay in . Keep going until there is one winner . When I did it , LOFT Eddie Fyne won it

I don’t generally keep track of wins and losses, just rankings. When a wrestler defeats someone of higher rank, the higher ranks drops down and everyone in between moves up.
Also, I plan to use the tournaments for those not ranked to give them something to do.
