Hi, I was browsing the store and stumbled across the Headlocked series + game pack. Never heard of this. Does anyone have a brief summary of what this is? Is there a list of character names that are featured in the card pack? Are the cards in colour and feat. similar GWF card mechanics?

The cards are in color. The comic follows a jobber making his way up the card. Painkiller and Crystal are the only names I can remember off the top of my head. The top guy is only about mid level (that's where they told me to place him) They work well with GWF as long as you're not looking for top level guys.

Loving the look and art style. Received the comic books. Have literally only read a few pages of volume 1 and am already craving cards for characters like Ultimate Soldier, Bingo the Clown, Brian Boulder, Madman Mohammed Farouk, Christopher Coleman, Mike Quinn and William Diamond!

Just finished the first volume. Great read and would highly recommend. Looking forward to volumes 2 and 3. Maybe after that I'll check out the main headlocked website as I guess there's more than just these. I do enjoy these offshoot releases. I also enjoyed the 80s Mania wrestling and hope maybe more card sets come in the future but I suspect not.

80s Mania is definitely not going to see more releases. I wouldn't expect more Headlocked though I'd be willing to do stats again if they decided to do so.

Certainly worth picking up. They just did a one off called Tales From the Road that was a collection of short stories. I hope the 5th book is in the works. |
