The wait was just soul wrenching...so many possibilities could have been intertwined with the Kronos storyline that my mind was set to explode! I rushed home from work and pranced around the house for about twenty minutes (it wasn't a pretty picture- a nearly 50 year old doesn't prance gracefully!. ) I scoured the Battlelines booklet with the tenaciousness and excitement of the teenager I used to be as I opened up any COTG envelope that came in the mail. OMG! I devoured line after line of dialog and text! Who was going to show up next...each being greater than the previous...until finally the climax of it all- TYRANNY IS BACK!!!!!!!!! BOOM BABY!!!!! Mensar's advisor (and the brains of Blacklist)...the villainous and devious Mensan that nearly caused the GWF to fold! Awesome! Bad Dude's finisher mechanic was bad ass (and he uses Mutant's Temple Grinder as well...classic!) and will be a.great addition to HitMen... I told Rob that Janus has to be catholic as he keeps popping kids out...before you get upset- I am also Catholic and it is not meant as a derivative...Olympia is going to be vicious! Desolation Factor is going to wreck! And, I am glad the duo is close to The Main Event cards that were in use before they departed the GWF. The twist with Cosmos was cool...weird to see him as.the ultra goodie two shoes instead of a maniacal game master. Solitude...not sure where I sit with him...maybe in the middle  Twin Telepathy...what a great name! Love it as Warden is looking for that last second of greatness! Density...have to dig out Classics 3000 but I like this guy a lot more and love it that the drawing is kinda like pan from mythology. Avenging Force finisher is going to hurt... Blue Chip...er, True Blue just hit the big time! The PP guys...not a a big Greek God mark and I could take it or leave it... and Torment and Category 5- I like the stats but like their older art better! A fantastic set! As I was reading, I was brainstorming ideas for my GWF fed...a very rare occurrence when the story itself sparks ingenuity and imaginative plot lines. Great work Rob and everybody else involved! |

I thought a great idea for an AU was where Morpheus was the big star of the GWF, with his own children as the villainous future stars of the GWF, while a mostly forgotten Omega’s only notable act was training Cosmos, who became the big babyface and defender of the old school values of the GWF. Glad to see a babyface Cosmos pop up. Also really excited to see an upgrade for Blue Chip. Glad I got the Kingdom Come pack for Nightmare, because I foresee True Blue and Faller teaming up. |
