Oh.. Milwaukee. What a great city. Breweries in Milwaukee worth visiting (that I've actually been too) include Milwaukee Brewing, Lakefront and Third Space (which was right down the street from where the Ring of Honor event I went too.) But... The Miller Brewing tour was actually pretty good. You also, after, get to taste really fresh Miller High Life which was not far from the advertising, the Champagne of beers. And if beer isn't your think, there is this amazing cocktail lounge called Bryant's. Anything on the menu is freak'n amazing!
Also, though I've never seen it.. there is a statue honoring The Crusher, a Milwaukee lifelong resident on the south side of the city.
If driving over to Waterloo from Milwaukee you'll have to go through Madison. Absolute must stops, beer wise, are Karben4 and Ale Asylum. New Glarus, which is about 35/40 minute detour south of Madison has not only some of Wisconsin's best beer, but one of the nicest beer gardens I've ever seen.
(Full disclosure, my wife's best friend was born and raised in Wisconsin and I've been all around the state A Lot! I do not actually work for Wisconsin Tourism, yet. Though the wife and I have talked about moving there many many times.)
I honestly do not know what July will look like for myself. If I'm able, I'll try to attend the AEW show... Maybe there is some car pool/pick up action that can happen back to Waterloo.. ? (Shrugging emoji inserted here?)

Cory Olson will have to remind me of the name of the good brewery we went to in Milwaukee. Riverfront Brewing, maybe? It's the only brewery tour I've ever been on where you start the tour with a beer, get one in the middle of the tour, and then have 2-3 more upon completion of the tour. Very generous! Chad, you're thinking of Lakefront Brewing. I went there two or three times, including for my bachelor party, which is when Chad was there with me. Love the tour, as Chad said, it's a really good deal! Matt, I LOVE Ale Asylum! Their Belgian triple nearly knocked me on my butt about seven years ago. I've always thought New Glarus was overrated but I do appreciate how they really were one of the first microbrews in the Midwest to get their name out there and their brand established. Have you ever been to Minhaus in nearby Monroe? I don't like their beer as much but you get a lot on one tour. And they have a distillery and winery. The wine was OK but the spirits are probably what they do best.

Cory Olson, in my experience, the amount of beer you get on the Minhaus tour does not make up for the fact that all of their beer is really bad.

It is good to hear there are actually better tasting beers in Milwaukee than the skunk piss called Milwaukee's Best.
If others here are also leaving from Milwaukee after AEW on Wednesday night for Waterloo then I would be glad to pay for at least my share of the gas to get there. If not, I can take a Greyhound (if I remember correctly the Greyhound does stop in Waterloo as I looked into it in 2018 before finding out Avarice could drive me there after I took the overnight Greyhound from Kansas City to Des Moines.)

I am hoping to get my ticket sorted this weekend. Looking forward to going if everything works out.

I don't think this will be a scheduling conflict, but I was asked if I wanted to teach Summer School today and I said yes.
This year there is a huge need for Summer School due to the large number of Fs we have mostly due to students not showing up for classes online. Previously only got paid $22/hour to teach Summer School, but this year we are actually getting our regular contract rate. Teaching Summer School is very easy and I can't turn that unprecedented extra financial opportunity away.
The dates for Summer School are not finalized yet but my understanding is that Summer School will end the week before this year's 2021 Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame weekend. It is also possible I might not get a position anyway as others have also volunteered. Plus, unless they are the final days of Summer School, we are allowed to take as many unpaid days off as we want during the Summer. Chad, Cory, Tim, Stu, Grant, and anyone else (I think Troy?) going, if this unexpectedly impacts my attendance, I will let you know.

I'm still ironing out details but I still plan on attending, yes.

Summer School this year, if I work for my school and not for the district, only goes until June 30th at the latest.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again! My plan is to go to Galacticon (if it is the previous weekend as it is usually the first weekend in July,) go somewhere else for a few days from Sunday night through Wednesday, and then go to Iowa.
