How do you calculate your rankings to account for strength of schedule? In other words, you do you make it so beating the #1 contender is worth more than beating the #5 contender, for example?

I have My own ranking systems similar to rahl rankings.
For wrestlers that have a 50 or over ranking, a win versus them gives you 5 points
40-49 = 4 points 30-39 = 3 points 20-29 = 2 points Under 20 = 1 point
In legends, shouldn’t a win against Thesz mean more than a win versus George South?!
Vice versa,
For wrestlers that have a 50 or over ranking, a loss versus them gives you -1 point
40-49 = -2 points 30-39 = -3 points 20-29 = -4 points Under 20 = -5 points
Shouldn’t a loss versus George South penalize you more than a loss versus Lou Thesz

I use the Elo rating system. Used commonly used for ranking in chess. I have an app that figures it out for me.

That is the one I use. It has the Elo ranking feature a d can also set up and track league style tournaments like the G1

I've started using an app called Rating Calculator, this thing is great!
It allows me to ad 9,999 profiles to be ranked, so it'll be a bit before I run out of room. 😃 And there's 17 colors to color code the profiles, so ladies are pink, ladies tag teams are purple, men's tag teams are green, trios are yellow & everyone else is split by what territory they're in.

Pretty much since day one...
2 points for a win via pinfall or Count Out 1 point for DQ win - 1 point for DQ loss - 2 points for a loss via pinfall or Count Out
Totals are calculated every 5 cards and tie-breakers are given to individual/tag team with the higher ranking from last ranking period.
It's basic, but it has worked for me for a long time.
-----
I guess I should have read the original question - you know I really don't take it into account, beating a higher ranked individual. I try to make matches with guys who are close in my rankings or associated in feuds so a win is a win when it comes down to it for me...
