Which Ringside Companion has the coming out of retirement chart? I have the COTG and LOW ones but I don’t see it in either. It's in the 2112 Ringside Companion.

The last time I booked the Giant as an attraction, he got owned by Bruiser Brody. Every top card in the game is capable of beating him as is. Even more so when the opponent has a manager, like Tricky Nicky and the Brilliant One.

Andre is seriously close to winning the big one in my fed. I know some promoters wouldn’t let him near the title and only use him a special attraction, but since my fed is an 80s WWF inspired fed, and since he went for the championship, I’m rolling the dice and seeing what happens. Now I know if he is able to win the title, he’s gonna hold it for a long while and, while there was some cards (Harley race, for example) who could probably score a win on him, I was thinking that if he went on a tear, a realistic thing to do is to start aging Andre. As we all know at the end of his career he was not feeling the best, so I began wondering how I could simulate this decline without using bootlegs or other ‘non-official’ cards. Then I thought: The Advanced Injury Chart. I was thinking that when I want that decline to start, I’d click him into the Minor category. Then, depending on how quickly I wanted it to happen (6 months-year), click him into the Moderate, then to Severe. Looking at it, even with the Severe injury modifies, he’d still be a beast, but it might make him not so much a monster. I supposed the ‘Coming out of Retirement’ chart might do the same, but since Andre was battling injuries, I thought this chart was a better fit. Anyway, just some thoughts as I was playing tonight. I was thinking of bringing Andre into my WWF Fed, and thinking the same. With this card, if he gets the belt, he'll probably hold onto it for a good while. My plan was to just bump his advanced PIN rating up from (1) to (3) to make things a bit more interesting if anyone manages to get the big man down lol.

I’ll have to check again. Otherwise I might do an Andre bootleg. Keep -5 pw but +3 ag, weaker defense since he did sell when hit but he also struck back hard, and maybe Elbow Drop +3 for finisher.

Any idea if that chart will be included in the new Ringside Companion redux that's due out sometime soon? Or if the original is available for sale somewhere? Would love to have a look at it.

Good discussion here. Ironically, Andre lost the title pretty easily to Randy Savage so no aging was necessary. Now that he’s had the title I think I’ll keep him away from it for a bit.

That's funny because it was rumored that Andre couldn't stand Macho Man! (Then again, it is HOGAN saying this.) See? -- Later! Todd C WTIC

I have some ideas for an Andre bootleg, based on his main card. This would be Andre 1986-89. For Offense, I'm thinking of replacing the Splash with the Elbow Drop and making it +2 or +3 (no roll) because he used it more. As for his Add 1 move, I was thinking of replacing his sitdown splash with Outlaw Choke and making it a DQ move. I don't remember if he used the sitting splash a lot, but he did choke a lot of opponents and most of the time, he either got the opponent pinned or he got DQ'ed. Finally, some of his moves would be replaced by punch, big boot, and turnbuckle squash.
For Defense, I want to keep Level 1 as is, since if an opponent his with too many weak moves, Andre would just get ticked and hit back hard. For Level 2 and 3, I watched a bunch of his matches and noticed Andre did sell a lot. While he rarely left his feet, he did reel and wince at attacks. and while this could be attributed to his being in actual pain from his condition, it fits his character. He'd stumbled from the attack but then send the opponent flying with a punch or headbutt. Because of that, I'm thinking of L2 Defense being Andre-2, dazed-1, and either Andre-1 or Andre-2 for the third move. For Level 3, I'm going with one down-3. For Pin, I'm conflicted. On one hand, I only remember Hogan and Warrior pinning him, so a low rating would make sense. On the other hand, Pin is also used for count outs, and Andre got counted out a lot.
I'm keeping his Power but weakening Speed to +3. I'm also removing the rule for ropes, etc. While it fits well for him i want to keep his card simple. Ropes/TB-A. Deathjump B or C since flying opponents could knock him down. Not sure about Ring since he didn't do much fighting outside the ring, at least not that I remember.
What do you think? Any thoughts or suggestions?

He won it in mine. Expected & hoped for a long run. 2 successful defenses & lost his in his 3rd to Pedro Morales.
