After participating in the Perennial this past weekend, I have decided to dip my toes back in the GWF waters and start promoting my own GWF fed. I've been playing the Legends game for a couple of years now after about a 26 year hiatus from Filsinger Games. I'm going to start with the original 2087 set and play all my cards online. Thanks to everyone who organized the Perennial and everyone who showed up and participated. I learned quite a bit.
Jason’s (My "Shoot" name) GWF Fed
Set: GWF 2087 (Original set)
Card 1: Genesis
Galaxian Gauntlet Tournament
Ten of the top competitors in the Galaxian Wrestling Federation go head to head in a massive gauntlet match, the winner of which will face GWF Heavyweight Champion Thantos for the championship belt.
Representing the Galaxian Heroes:
Star Warrior
Omega Of Cetus
Commander Sam
Massif
Wolf
Representing the Galaxian Villains:
Comrade Terror
The Executioner
Exo-King
Death Knight
Invincible Krakan
The order of entry will be determined by a drawing prior to the beginning of the event. The wrestlers who draw numbers one and two will start out in a match with regular GWF rules. The winner of the first match will then face the wrestler who drew number three. The gauntlet will continue in this manner until all ten wrestlers have entered the ring. A wrestler is eliminated from the gauntlet by losing in any manner. The final match will be contested under Titan Death Match rules. The winner will earn the opportunity to wrestle Thantos, the Evil Gamemaster, for the GWF Heavyweight Championship at the next card. The gauntlet will pit friend vs friend, partner vs partner. With a shot at the most prestigious championship in the entire galaxy on the line, alliances will be tested like never before.
The Galaxian Tag Team belts are currently vacant, but that will change when the Greek Gods and Gladiators of Aethra collide in a battle for tag team supremacy. The winner of the match will be declared the new champions. However, in a battle between such fierce and powerful rivals, will there truly be a winner of this awesome clash?
Lord Nexus, leader of the Flying Titans, battles his rival from the Society of Death, Genghis Khan, who will have the dangerous Mutant with him at ringside. Will Nexus face this daunting challenge alone, or will he have one of his fellow Flying Titans at ringside to watch his back?
In the opening match, the youthful and exciting Pulsar will take on the arrogant Vanity in a singles encounter.
Genesis is going to be an incredible event. Results will be posted as soon as they are available.

Results of GWF: Genesis:
Drawing for the order of the gauntlet:
1. Star Warrior
2. Commander Sam
3. Exo-King
4. The Executioner
5. Massif
6. Omega Of Cetus
7. Comrade Terror
8. Invincible Krakan
9. Death Knight
10. Wolf
Opening match: Vanity defeated Pulsar with the Pulverizer
Ghengis Khan, with fellow Society Of Death member Mutant at ringside scored a shockingly quick victory over Lord Nexus with the Twin Thrust. Nexus had decided to face the two members of the S.O.D. by himself, which almost proved to be extremely costly, as Mutant jumped into the ring and started double teaming Nexus with Khan. Nexus’ partners in the Flying Titans, Pulsar and Pit Viper, ran in to make the save, and Khan and Mutant decided to teleport from the ring to avoid a confrontation with their arch rivals at full strength. When asked why he didn’t join the fracas, the Invincible Krakan coldly replied, “I have a gauntlet to win tonight.”
A pre-recorded interview with the Neptunian Space Croppers, Beast-Rider and Renegade, took place. The Croppers expressed their displeasure with Vanity’s victory, especially Renegade, and promised they would get their hands on their former teammate in one way, shape, or form. They also indicated they would be paying close attention to the result of the GWF Tag Team Title match between the Greek Gods and Gladiators of Aethra, as they would also like a shot at the belts at some point.
Match for the vacant GWF Tag Team Championship: The Greek Gods defeated the Gladiators for the vacant GWF Tag Team Championship. Proteus pinned Massacre after a double team move while the referee was putting Brute out after a pin save. While they were celebrating the victory, the incensed Gladiators attacked Actagon and threw him out of the ring. Massacre then hit Proteus with the Massacre Slam several times until Wolf appeared out of nowhere to make the save. Proteus has been injured for three fight cards and Massacre has been suspended for a whopping 8 fight cards.
A live hologram of ringside reporter Johnny Rocket appeared in the ring. Johnny is surrounded by all four members of the Federation Defense Fighters. Johnny asked Star Warrior about his thoughts of wrestling his good friend Commander Sam in the first match of the gauntlet. Warrior said each member of the FDF understands what’s at stake. He knows both he and Sam will give it their all in a good, clean match to start the gauntlet. Commander Sam agreed, and said that while he knows both he and Warrior will leave it all out in the ring, at the end of the day they will remain great friends and support one another going forward. Omega said that the goal for this gauntlet is for the FDF to get one more opportunity to end Thantos reign of terror atop the GWF, and while each member will give 110 percent, it really doesn’t matter who gets the chance, as long as it is one of them.
Galaxian Gauntlet results:
1. Star Warrior defeated Commander Sam with a flying cross body block in a great match.
2. Star Warrior defeated Exo-King with the Nova Launch.
3. Star Warrior defeated The Executioner with a reverse piledriver
4. Star Warrior defeated Massif after Massif missed a charge into the turnbuckle and Warrior pinned him.
5. Star Warrior defeated Omega of Cetus with a Running Star Blast in a very emotional match.
6. Comrade Terror defeated an exhausted Star Warrior with a reverse knife-edge (I started adding fatigue tokens to Star Warrior at the beginning of the match starting with The Executioner to make the gauntlet a bit more competitive).
7. Comrade Terror defeated Invincible Krakan with the Terror Face Claw. The Society of Death tried to interfere in the match by surrounding the ring and distracting Terror, but the referee sent them back to the locker room. Lots of cheating between the two rulebreakers in this one.
8. Comrade Terror defeated Death Knight with the flying skullcrusher.
9. Wolf defeated Comrade Terror in the final match of the gauntlet. Contested under Titan Death Match rules, this was an INSANE brawl that spilled outside the ring several times.. At one point Wolf had the Savage Face Claw on Terror when the Gladiators jumped into the ring and tried to cost Wolf the match. Wolf made quick work of his former partners and finally defeated a bloody Terror with a face rake, which may not sound like a move that would finish someone off…but he IS Wolf, and Terror took an insane amount of punishment in this match.
After the final match was over, the GWF Heavyweight Champion Thantos appeared in the ring as a hologram, with some words for the new number one contender:
“Congratulations…old friend. You finally have the chance you have been waiting for for a very, VERY long time. The chance to end my reign as GWF Champion and get revenge for whatever wrongs you want to believe I committed against you. But remember, Wolf: I made you who you are today. The hatred that rages within you was created by me. I know you better than you know yourself, and I will be prepared to face you for this title. The question is: can you ever be truly prepared to face…ME?” As an enraged Wolf lunged at Thantos’ hologram, the video ended. The ring announcer once again declared Wolf the winner as he storms out of the ring and disappeared into the darkness.
Wow. My first real attempt at a GWF card in nearly three decades and it was like my inner child was unleashed. It's not the most polished presentation but once the juices started flowing again, this is the result. I can't wait to book and run card #2 with Thantos defending the GWF Heavyweight Title vs. Wolf.

I am pleased to say that I have booked a fantastic card for the next event in my GWF Fed. Deimos Demolition will feature the following exciting matches:
The main event will see Wolf, the winner of the Galaxian Gauntlet, challenge Thantos for the GWF Heavyweight Championship. As is his usual modus operandi, Wolf will face Thantos alone. Thantos, however, has no plans of returning the favor. Thantos has enlisted the help of The Executioner, who will be at ringside in Thantos' corner. While he won't admit it publicly, the champion is obviously concerned about his opponent or he wouldn't have secured the help of such an imposing figure as The Executioner.
In a rematch from the Gauntlet, a refreshed Star Warrior squares off against Thantos' closest confidant, Comrade Terror. Comrade Terror has no love lost for any of the members of the FDF, especially Star Warrior. Star Warrior is a perennial top contender, and a victory for Comrade Terror would keep Star Warrior from climbing the ladder back to the top challenger position for the GWF Heavyweight Championship. In fact, rumor has it that Thantos is looking ahead to a possible confrontation with his former friend, and is counting on his second in command to prevent that from taking place - by ANY means necessary.
Proteus is still on the shelf with his injury and Brute has begun serving his 8 card suspension for his actions following the Greek Gods victory over the Gladiators for the GWF Tag Team Championship. Therefore, a singles match will take place between Massacre and Actagon, and it should be a barnburner. With the acrimony between these two teams at an all time high, you can believe that this match will be wild.
A six man tag team grudge match for the ages will take place as the Flying Titans will face the Society of Death. These six GWF superstars need no additional incentive to beat each other senseless as their feud is quickly becoming legendary in the annals of GWF history. However, I will be awarding the winner of the match the newly created Intergalactic Six Man Tag Team Championship. To ensure that there is a winner, I am adding a stipulation that the only way the match can be won is by pinfall or submission. There must be a winner, and the winner will have truly earned the right to be called champions.
A special challenge has been issued by the Neptunian Space Croppers to wrestle the Evil Ones, Exo-King and Killer Queen. The Evil Ones gladly accepted the challenge, but with one condition: That former Space Cropper Vanity be allowed to accompany the Evil Ones to the ring. The Space Croppers agreed, and the match was signed. Will Renegade be able to get his hands on Vanity, his former Space Cropper tag team partner? They will have to go through the Evil Ones first!
Rounding out the card are three outstanding opening matches: Commander Sam vs. Death Knight Massif vs. The Executioner Omega of Cetus vs. Vanity
I am truly excited about playing this card, and will be doing so in the next couple of days. I'll have results posted as soon as they happen.
