I was just about to start up my CWF 2116 and was rereading some of the descriptions and on reflection of the PC title I was wondering if this should be treated as a champions' advantage in title defenses that the champion doesn't choose the Gauntlet match as his defense.
To clarify, in the 2115 booklet it states the champion chooses the match stipulation every time and if they really want to show their dominance they choose the gauntlet match, thus insinuating that they would allow the chance for the challenger to wear the gauntlets during the match. I missed a possibility here being that if the champion chose any other match type they would start that match with gauntlets already on thus gaining the benefits, i.e. champions advantage. I had always thought of the gauntlets like a title belt and placed at ringside during a match that wasn't a gauntlet match.
How do you all treat the PC Title in non Gauntlet Matches?

I have my champions put the gauntlets at ringside like a title belt.

I just finished 2116 yesterday and played the year out with the champion wearing the gauntlets in all title defenses instead of at ringside like I did in 2115 and it was really interesting as it really helped Mister Centra several times against Minister of War in a prolonged feud they had over the title as it gave him the strength advantage in their matches as opposed to the equal push they would normally have with a stat of 0.
I can't honestly say if it ended up costing MoW the matches, but he was getting reversed into the ropes sometimes and on some Level 1 moves so it definitely didn't help him. But it actually helped play into the character of Mister Centra as he refused to defend the gauntlets in a Gauntlet Match as he wanted to retain the champions advantage as much as possible and his long reign finally came to an end on the last card of the year, Final Conflict, in a title v title match against Evolution, the reigning CWF Champ. Mister Centra felt he had the advantage as he was able to wear the gauntlets, but Evo still tore him apart and Evolution ended the year as the dual champ.
Very interested to see where 2117 goes when it comes out in June.

And now a follow up on the PC Gauntlets rules. Now that I'm mid way into 2117 I again reread the PC Gauntlet Match rules and realized I may have been playing a little rule about the gauntlets incorrectly.
There's a note that all moves using a fist or forearm increase by 1 followed by a period. Then it says all Add 1 moves become (0) finishers and finishers increase in strength by 1. I had read that as a continuation of all fist/forearm moves get the bump, but now having reread it several times as these are separate sentences, hence bullet points it could be played that ALL Add 1 & Finishers bump up regardless of them being fist/forearm maneuvers for whoever is wearing the gauntlets hence really creating a champions advantage regardless of their move set revolving around punches.
How do you play the Add 1 & Finishers for the wrestler wearing the gauntlets?
