KINGDOM of TRUTH
KOT #26 - DESPERADOS III, FINAL RIDE (01.Aug.06)
from the Pariah Palace, Neverwhere, USA
Commentary: Trish Stratus and Vampiro
CURT STALLION & ROBBIE EAGLES def. Frightmare & Hallowicked (w/ Juan Francisco de Coronado).
- Eagles blasted Frightmare with a WARP 6.5 for the win.
- Since the presence of Frightmare & Hallowicked at ringside caused problems during his match against Coronado on the previous card, Stallion found a partner to help him get some payback.
- Coronado caused a distraction that allowed Frightmare & Hallowicked to corner Stallion with some questionable tactics. Before the nightmare duo could take full advantage of the situation, Stallion & Eagles executed an illegal switch to catch their opponents completely by surprise.
- Tokens: Stallion 2 - Hallowicked 2
- DQ warnings: Stallion
Backstage: Johnny Gargano appeared somewhat disoriented as he approached the entrance to the ringside area. He was stopped by Brody King, who asked if he might need some medical assistance. With a glazed expression, Gargano made a disturbing statement about Karlee Perez granting him immortality. King appeared confused as he allowed Gargano to pass.
JOHNNY GARGANO def. Shawn Daivari.
- Gargano forced Daivari to tap out with a GARGANO ESCAPE (+2).
- Despite his unusual behavior before the match, Gargano was all business during his first match since recovering from the Lick of Death that he received from Karlee Perez a few months ago.
- Tokens: Daivari 2
- DQ warnings: n/a
BEAR BOULDER & BEAR BRONSON def. Bandido & Flamita (w/ Rey Horus) via DQ.
- Flamita was disqualified due to blatant interference by Horus.
- Jumping their opponents before the opening bell, Boulder & Bronson instantly took complete control of this encounter. Bandido was removed from the equation when Bronson crushed Flamita with a GRIZZLY DRIVER on top of his partner. The powerful pair hammered Flamita with an ELEVATOR DROP, but fed up with their bullying tactics, Horus hit Boulder with a springboard leg drop to break up the near fall.
- Tokens: Flamita 1
- DQ warnings: n/a
Backstage: Salina de la Renta offered the Governor some interesting information and in return, was able to negotiate a match pitting Alex Hammerstone & Killer Kross against two-thirds of the KOT Frontline Trios Champions, Hanson & Moose. Pleased with the arrangement, the Governor also suggested that it might be interesting to see Lio Rush face off against Space Monkey on the next card as well. With a look of pure satisfaction, Salina told the Governor to make it happen.
MICHAEL BENNETT def. TJ Perkins.
- Bennett finished TJP with a GO BACK TO JAPAN.
- TJP opened strong and might have picked up the win if he had not wasted valuable time taunting his opponent. Bouncing off the ropes with a powerful spear, Bennett mounted a tremendous comeback.
- Tokens: Bennett 2 - TJP 1
- DQ warnings: n/a
In The Ring: Realizing that PCO was scheduled to compete in the next match, Michael Bennett decided to linger at ringside. Security immediately flooded the area to prevent a physical altercation between the fierce rivals. Upon the Governor's insistence, Bennett was escorted to the backstage area by Bear Boulder & Bear Bronson before PCO's arrival.
'HANGMAN' ADAM PAGE def. PCO.
- Page pinned PCO following a RITE OF PASSAGE.
- Although neither man received an official warning, both did a formidable job of pushing the referee's patience to the limit in this aggressive exchange.
- Michael Bennett stormed towards the ring after the bell and needed to be held back by security. Before PCO could stagger to his feet to meet Bennett's charge, Page grabbed him from behind. Using his noose, Page hung PCO over the top rope. <PCO injured for 3 cards.>
- Tokens: Page 4 - PCO 2
- DQ warnings: n/a
Backstage: 'Hangman' Adam Page thought he was about to receive a stiff reprimand for his post-match assault on PCO, but the Governor had a surprise for him instead. The Governor told Page that his unique brand of enthusiasm could not be ignored. As a result, he was going to join Bear Boulder & Bear Bronson to face La Sangre in trios action on the next card.
CW ANDERSON, JUAN FRANCISCO DE CORONADO & PETE DUNNE def. AR Fox, Brody King & Paul London.
- Dunne nailed King with a BITTER END for the pinfall.
- With a Key to the Kingdom potentially up for grabs, it appeared to be every man for himself and all six competitors started brawling inside the ring. While the referee was busy trying to sort through the chaos, Dunne dragged King out to the floor and smashed his head against the timekeeper's bell.
- Dunne snatched up his newly won Key and bolted into the crowd before anyone fully realized the contest was over.
- Tokens: n/a
- DQ warnings: n/a
In The Ring: Due to the brief nature of the previous match, the Governor commanded the five competitors remaining in the ring to continue. He instructed the referee to issue no disqualification warnings and the match would be one fall to a finish.
