Wasn't The Mountie more of an early '90s thing, rather than '80s? I'm surprised these are going to be cards for guys that are already in color. I figured it would have been guys like Cousin Luke, Lanny Poffo and maybe SD Jones. With this set up Johnny V seems like a good pick. I guess I could see a non-barber Beekcake... I mean, maybe we should look at an annual Ed Leslie release of some kind just so we can eventually get through all his gimmicks. We at least need cards for The Disciple and Zodiac. The Disciple could come out alongside color Buff Bagwell and K-Dawg Konnan. Zodiac can come whenever we get Kevin Sullivan in color. Back on topic... Johnny V, non-barber Beefcake and probably Adorable Adrian. None of those are SUPER exciting to me but all should be made eventually so I'm definitely not opposed to them. yeah all 3 being remakes of color guys isnโt very thrilling. I think there should be at least one new name or remake of a black and white card.

Here's a question I've been meaning to ask for awhile, but it continuously slipped my mind... Here goes...
Statistically speaking, what would be the difference between 'Dream Team' Beefcake and 'Barber' Beefcake? I understand the difference in his look (as slight as this difference would be) would provide us with new artwork... From a performance standpoint however, does he really need another card? I suppose he could use a couple of defensive tags, but I still think there are lots of wrestlers out there that I would prefer to see in Promoter Prime... In my humble opinion, I would rather see a special edition 3-pack of Beefcake AND Valentine as the Dream Team with the inclusion of Luscious Johnny V as their manager.
As for the upcoming Promoter Prime, I'm really hoping we get some of the lower card talent that made that era so memorable... SD Jones would definitely be high on my list.

He had a different finisher at the time (Flying knee and sleeper with the Barber). In the original final card, there were a couple of tag moves I believe

Iโve been using the Dream Team since day 1 and will probably continue to. Them along w the Bulldogs were my first favorite tag teams. Would love a DT Brutus. Iโll prob never break them up unless I decide to give Hammer a run at the IC belt.

Different finisher, less of a tag wrestler as the Barber, and higher-statted in general as the Barber since he was higher on the cards. Plus maybe a mechanic for giving his opponent a haircut if he wins with the Sleeper. Though the Barber wasn't a zero as a tag wrestler and Johnny V-era Brutus was a capable singles wrestler.

More of a brawler in the pre-Barber years. Stomps, eye gouges, punches and elbows more than standard moves. High knee smash/flying knee finisher, no sleeper. IF Brutus is one of the cards I'd prefer they not do a tag team oriented card because really the Dream Team was very short lived and they didn't exactly have any signature double team moves or anything. Anyway, it's going to be Arachnaman, Rhythm And Blues Greg, and Boom Boom Bundy, so it's not an issue.

I don't know who the LOW Q1 Promoter Prime cards are but I think the guesses being made such as Adorable Adrian, Brutus Beefcake heel, Johnny Valiant manager, a Jacques Rougeau singles as the Mountie (something I definitely want in color someday,) and Sweet Brown Sugar are all good guesses for color cards.
I would be glad to get any of those card possibilities although some of them I probably would not use right away (such as an Adorable Adrian card since I just starting using the other Adrian Adonis card) but I would still look forward to using them at some point.
I am currently reading the Buddy Rogers book (I should have it finished by next weekend.) Didn't he become a manager in the 1980s? I wonder if we might someday get a Buddy Rogers manager card?

He did briefly manage Snuka in his feud against Albano. Not sure that's enough to merit a separate card.

He had a much bigger run in Mid-Atlantic around '78, managing Mulligan, Studd, and Snuka and feuding with Flair.
