Dirty Sheets w/Dave Meltzer
Dave Meltzer: Our next guest is Gordon Solie. Again, congrats on the finale, Dynamite Kid is PWE Champion, and all feels right in the world. Gordon Solie: Thanks, Dave. We are all very proud of Kid, for sure. DM: So, what's new with PWE? GS: Well right now, we are taping all season 2, lots of great wrestling with a few twists. We will be introducing the Ascend4 Trophy. You defend this trophy four times successfully, you get a World Champioship match. Matches in this tournament will be featured in season 2. DM: There was a rumor of a big name, joining, care to expand on that? GS: Well, we had a great first season, and a lot of people want to be a part of this. One particular gentleman from the northeast, may very well show up in the second half of the season. And, it's not who you think. DM: Thanks for joining us Gordon, now let's head back to WCCB studios for that tag team match!
1. Rob Van Dam w/Bill Alfonso and Shane Douglas vs Dan Severn and Danny Hodge
Morgan Dollar is the referee. Douglas misses a dropkick early anf Hodge shoots him into the ropesand puts him down with a hard elbow. Hodge hits an airplane spin. Douglas recovers, and hits a gourdbuster for a pin attempt. Douglas hits a piledriver, and Hodge has to leave the ring!
Hodge pulls Douglas down and slams his leg into the ring post! Douglas eventually recovers and hits a knee lift and hits a powerbomb on Hodge. Hodge tags out to Severn. Back suplex on Severn, but Severn reverses, forearm uppercuts to Douglas, then Severn catches Shane with a back elbow!
Belly to Belly throw, then ARMBAR on Douglas! Douglas gets to the ropes to break the hold, CHOKE SLEEPER, but Douglas gets out, German suplex on Shane, Shane finally tags out. Belly to belly throw by Severn, they head out of the ring, and Severn smashes RVD into the announce table!
Back in the ring, Severn hits the bow and arrow. CHOKE SLEEPER applied, but RVD escapes! ARMBAR again, and RVD taps!!!!
Winners by submission: Dan Severn and Danny Hodge
What a match, domination by Severn in this tag bout!

Big statement made by the Beast! One of the coolest aspects of the FG multiverse is watching how different names wind up being the marquee names for different feds... Honestly, Severn had a difficult time when I initially introduced him with the rest of the TNT HOF guys as part of a twin bracket, round robin series... Since then, I put him back on the shelf and will probably let him sit there for awhile... Buddy Rogers is another one that I have not been able to push as far as I had hoped, despite his success in the feds of other promoters.
Really enjoying your unique brand... Nice work!
