No youtube links this time. Podcast PR dept is getting lazy. Thanks for the reminder, Matt! This has been addressed!

Fun remembering the old JCP stuff. Like Cory, I got in towards the end but I've enjoyed some of the old shows as well. And Don Kernodle is still one of my top wants so here's hoping.

What's a little Rocky Mountain Thunder heckling amongst friends? I have the NWA edition too. I did misspeak, because one strange omission from the set is no Lex Luger card. Very weird since he headlined the GAB 88 PPV against Flair that year. .................... Not to hijack the discussion with the Superstar Pro Wrestling game, but I always wondered about that too. Maybe the fact that Lex Luger actually had an agent in a time when no one else did was the stumbling block there. Any agent probably would have seen those guys weren't getting paid for their likeness in that game (or not compensated properly) and put a stop to it. I've still got my bootleg Luger, "Doom 1 and Doom 2", Brian Pillman, and Scott Steiner cards in the folder with the rest of the game. If I go dig this stuff out the impulse to update them may be overwhelming. Perhaps a new thread somewhere here on the boards. This game is yet another of the many that came and went over the decades while Filsinger games continues.

I think ultimately as far as the 80s go, JCP was my third favorite promotion for the 80s. Mid-South/UWF just has great TV once it hits the Midnights showing up and nothing is ever going to really top the trainwreck insanity that Memphis was on a weekly basis. But you just can't beat the star power in Mid-Atlantic and JCP. In the early 80s it felt like anyone with a big name did a run through there. I actually need to sit down and watch those Jim Cornette garbage tapes one of these days.
Fun fact if anyone here listens to Dr. Steve and the Weird Medicine podcast. He was on the TV crew that shot the TV for Mid-Atlantic in the 70s.

Always a fun time. You guys could have doubled or tripled the time spent talking about JCP, there's so much meat on that bone, an hour just doesn't seem long enough to cover that era.

Thanks, as always, for downloading, listening, and commenting, everyone! And a big thanks to my brother Chad for editing Episode 20 while I had a busy week of coaching wrestling. He did a great job!
