It blows my mind that Europe can get their cards, standard mail btw, before some lower 48 get theirs... Several years ago--in July--it took 3 or 4 weeks to get them. That's why I won't consider it lost until May 1.

Cards finally came in the mail today--2 and a half weeks after they were sent! Looks like I'll have lots of fun with them and the vintage charts!
Question about "Terrible Turk" Yusuf Ismail's STRANGLEHOLD: The handbook makes it sound like a guillotine choke, but I always thought it was an early version of the rear naked choke. Can any of our experts clarify this please?

Glad the sets are all arriving.
Just had the first showdown between Great Gama and Terrible Turk. Gama controlled the early match with basic takedowns and locks. Then Turk went for the less-than sportsman moves and turned things around. The match ended when Turk tossed Gama to the floor. Then when Gama reentered the ring, Turk locked the Stranglehold for the win.

Using the new charts - Do you use the same chart for both wrestlers (even if the opponent is non vintage) or just the vintage guy ?

I think we had this debate earlier, but yeah, 40 pages is a lot to sift through. I think the consensus was...it's up to you, promoter. It depends on the style of the non-Vintage guy. I've been using both sets of charts depending on the wrestler, but I sometimes use the Vintage charts only for guys like Lou Thesz whose style could be closer to the vintage style than the modern style.

so for me, vintage guys and guys like Thesz are usually Vintage....if the guys are from an era pre 90s, I have one of the wrestlers choose their preference...heels usually go for modern, faces tend to go for vintage.
